British Airways All Business Class Jet to New York

- British Airways operate an all Club World Business Class service on their sole A318 between London City and New York JFK. This is possibly the World's Smallest Commercial plane flying Trans-Atlantic. BA1 flight has the BEST service on any British Airways flight, most passengers are high net worth individual and treated like flying private jet.
The outbound route from London City requires a tech stop at Shannon, where passengers are pre-cleared for US immigration and customs, before arriving at New York JFK. Perhaps saving the best till last, it took me just 5 minutes from walking outside the plane to the street at New York JFK!
The flight attendant who cooked the biscuits is so kindhearted! 😍
I love her too!
Sam Chui she seems really happy about her job! Probably she is really happy now after having you on board!
yeah #InstantCrush ! ;)
I am also cabin crew on this route and Kat is one of the nicest people ❤️
i think she was joking lol
Im so impressed by the A318's ability to fly that route!
Whetic Corporation if necessary it could fly an even longer route. The a318 special, has an endurance of 9 hours, which is about 5300 nautical miles. With one or two passengers onboard, and no luggage, it could fly directly from London Heathrow to LAX.
Not bad for a little baby bus.
@@RB747domme no. It’s max empty range is well short of 4000nm.
Absolutely loving the cabin crew, they seemed really warm-hearted
I absolutely adore how the captain thanked the cabin crew for 'all their hard work' over the PA before landing!
That was not the captain, that was the senior cabin crew member.
My mum was on your plane! Hahah - she recognised you when I was watching the video
yeah that’s true I was the plane
Vinicius Araújo haha
Ben P I’ll text it too your sister ask her!
@Ben P nice
Elliot Wilkins which seat she was
The flight crew was OUTSTANDING and extremely professional with lots of personality.
Am a BA frequent flyer and I must say the cabin crew are by far and away the friendliest I’ve ever seen on BA
Amazing what being videoed doing your job will do.
@@jkirk1626 the cynical truth lol
Well honestly I've been met with the same kind of friendliness on board a BA flight to JFK before. The flight attendant and I had some really nice chats about being a flight attendant and how great it is to fly etc.
they can be quite rude and ignorant sometimes actually
Yeah, all fake
Watching this video stirs up all kinds of emotions, from the flight number, to gate 1 being the Concorde's gate at JFK. If ever my wife and I can work hard enough to afford this route it would be an amazing treat. Thank you Sam! All of your videos give us AV geeks a lot of joy!
I must say, one of the most vibrant and friendliest group of flight attendants.
True but there were only 9 passengers for 3 fly attendants and a famous vloger filming🤔🤔.
@@carmenvalmalaartaraz8260 true enough
Honestly the most satisfying part of a flight is the taxi, take off, and landing
It's so crazy that in a day's work those guys fly over the Atlantic ocean and back...I think we've lost sight of how amazing that really
Wow! Beautiful video! Never thought a babybus (a318) could fly transatlantic.
While taxiing to the gate at JFK
BA747's: awww the baby's here! Look at you baby bus!
The 747s go to London Heathrow
Unfortunately the 747s are retiring in favor of A380s, A350s, 787s and 777Xs
@@ag6371 A380s are retiring too tbh. Airbus wont produce anymore A380s after 2022 and some airlines are retiring their a380 fleet.
@@SongShiyu Virgin Atlantic is already retiring their 747s
A G Yh he’s talking about jfk
Love your reviews, you help me fly the correct way.
I have never seen somebody appreciate travel quite the way Sam does.
at 6:53 that Kalitta Air 747 is owned by Connie Kalitta, a legendary name in drag racing. great guy!!
What a great experience for you. Flight and food looked amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Where does sam live?
Oh yeah he lives on planes and in the airport lounges
It is a joke😂
Doesn’t he have a home in Dubai? (I’m not entirely sure)
MB Pokevids he’s from Hong Kong
pathetic if insult joke is good
China
When I was in the AF, I caught a rotator out of Kazakstan to Baltimore on a chartered 737-800, coach seating. Made a fuel stop in Hungary and Iceland. One of my friends got nerve damage from such a long flight in a terrible seat. We did however get to sit in the jump seat for a while and chill the pilots, both cool dudes. Will never forget it.
That looked so comfortable ya Sam! I love it! The staff is wonderful, I adore British in general, they are so polite! I wish you luck always, what you are doing is beyond amazing! May God bless you and protect you up there at all times.
Still glad to see the 747s at JFK. Long live the Queen of the Skies
LEGO airplane Boy I support you I am a 747 400 fan boy to
not for long BA replacing them soon
@@speedbird737 all BA B744's to be replaced by 2024, so still another 5 years to go :)

@@SamChui Your videos are great but its bit hard to understand your communication... bro
British Airways service is always wonderful and warm. So glad your video captured that!
Now this is a flight crew I would love to fly with. Thank you for this video and showing the exceptional customer service from this British Airways staff and sharing your experience on this beautiful plane.
Hi Sam. I try and keep up to date with all of your travels. This one particularly drew me, as my wife and I traveled on BA0001 out of LCY to JFK via SNN back in 2011. It was one of the most special flights we have ever taken. Back then, there was a small Club City lounge at LCY too. That day, there were a total of 12 passengers on board. Clearing US customs and immigration at SNN was so easy, simple and fast. By the time we had completed it, the A318 was ready for boarding again and as you said, arriving into JFK as a domestic passenger was heaven in comparison with the normal wait due to the large number of international arrivals. Our return from JFK was on BA0116 a B747 on the Upper Deck, which we both loved, but the A318 and BA0001 will always hold a special place in our hearts. Keep up the great work.
Your videos can easily put an smile on my face, refreshing as always. you're one of my favorite youtubers.
Much love from Brazil. Hope you travel here sometime.
The aviation gallery was so cool!👍🏻
Great video!
Thanks for doing this one, Sam. Always has been a favorite flight of mine.
Hello Mr.Chui, thank you for showing us your incredible experiences when you travel. I love your videos and I wish you all the best in the futur ! Have a good one. Harri Klasser
Shannon is my fav Airport , super fast 💨 and excellent staff
This BA service is great

Sam I enjoyed this video so much. Thank you again my friend for allowing us to share your aviation adventures.
Sam's face when there was no lounge was precious. 1:54
I also flew with them on this route, and it was amazing! I love British Airways!!😁
It really can't be said enough - you do a great job with these videos, Sam!
I flew this over the summer, what a great experience. Love the videos, they’ve inspired many of my travel plans!
Great review. BA are my most flown airline and in my experience the cabin crew are always friendly like in this flight, regardless of the class.
Amazing!! A full business class aircraft from London to New York.
Great.
I've always wanted to try this service! London City Airport is a small field but the service on-board makes up for it & the short runway makes for fun landings. Great review as always. You got me more excited to try this service in the future!
London City is my favourite airport in/out of London. usually prefer to land in Dublin and transit from there into the City if I must. saves on Heathrow landing taxes.
Dave Graham Dublin is in ireland
@@dansnn8378 which I'm aware of. However, landing in LCY obviates the incredible landing taxes of Heathrow and one of the easiest transits to London is landing in DUB --> LCY. Usually can save around 300-400$ that way.
It's really shabby these days. I mean easy to please UA-camrs might like it. But actual business class travellers know that it's been going down hill for a couple of years. The plane and interior is so tried and the general service is lacking. Unless you really must fly from LCY, departing from LHR you get a much better product.
Spymo fair enough
Loved this video very nice, the inflight service looked awesome and such a comfortable cabin great review thanks so much.
Oh wow Sam, that is amazing.
I had no idea of this service they have.
It must have been an exceptional experience.
One of the best flights airbus 318 across the atlantic good video mr chui
“To New York and beyond” not quite infinity but still impressive 😂😂
For pilots both were quite vague, the other captain when asked about it being the smallest commercial transatlantic, answers "Oh I;d say so.." after thinking for a while...
@@NidgeOSullivan Probably is as well A318 transatlantic is something you do see everyday but only by British Airways. I don't think a smaller plane would fly this distance. The only other plane I could think which can travel this distance is the Challenger 605. However that is a private jet and not commercial.
I would love to travel on that flight. Looks so chilled and comfortable. Top notch video
Great work Sam, Love your videos. Thank you for showing the aerial image of Republic Airport towards the end. That's where the P-47 and A-10 we're produced.
Bro Sam you are one of the best aviation UA-camr that I know :) thank you and keep up the good work
I love your channel huge fan of yours can’t wait for your review on BA new plane flight from LHR to Dubai
Great video! I love how you provide alot of information about the airplanes ❤❤ thank you!

Hi Sam.
I watch all your vlogs, I think what you do is amazing and so informative. Love your Heathrow Myrtle avenue vlog, I'll be there soon as a fellow avgeek. Never stop what you do. ♥️
Those flight attendants are just so kind they serve good food and amazing service! I wish I could get to fly on that plane with the same people. :)
6:41 - thats one good landing there..
I wonder how it feels on a all-business aircraft..
Must be very-expensive yet luxurious 🤔
Always loving ur videos Mr. Sam Chui 😀😄
Was eagerly waiting for your video
Good work Sam, this is by far the best way to beat the hassle and stress of US C&I ... In the past, working in the travel industry in the UK, EI used to have very good fares on this route, but this is a LCY departure so from the city and a very efficient stop in SNN rather than catching a connection ... great concept BA ... gate 1 as well ... bit of nostalgia too :)
Dear Sam,
Your videos and reviews are very good with subtle feedbacks for Future travellers to take note of and plan wisely. You have an amazing persona. Keep doing great and god bless.. Cheers!
It's always great to see your upload Sam!
Still hurts that Speedbird 001 is no longer Concorde :(.
Nice report. Having flown from LCY a number of times, even in the morning peaks, i have never seen it as busy as that! Despite that, i do love the airport and this service always looks a gem 👍
Great to see you reviewing my dream flight! Cheers, Sam!
超愛看你的飛行紀錄影片!! 這個BA的航班我在FR24也看過,覺得很特別剛好你就做了這支影片哈哈

Thank you :)
I just love how intimate this flight is! I flew out of City Airport once, to Zurich, and I loved it. Everything was done fast: check in, boarding and takeoff, even though it was crowded.
I wonder why this flight is not landing at LaGuardia Airport instead, since it would be a great advantage for business travellers.
Great job, Sam!
Jailton Nascimento there is a distance restriction for flights in and out of LaGuardia.
@@tjr4459, thanks for the information! I googled it (after you told me) and it explains in detail why.

Lovely video Sam as always. Also like the graphics showing the location of the airport.
Home made buscuits... very kind flight attendant. Great report Sam!

I love flying from London City Airport. It's close to where I live and so convenient, more than any other airport anywhere I've been to
I ever wanted to fly to New York, now i am becoming 30 in January 2020, and now i know, what i want to fly :) Thank you for all the best videos, stay safe and always air under the wings :) Matthias
I'm a new subscriber, having only found you yesterday. I love your videos, very informative and good-humored. I love how respectful you are to everyone, especially the people who have seen your videos and are also fans. :)
I've wondered what a no-economy flight would be like post-Concorde. In a sense, it hearkens back to the early days of luxury air travel. I had no idea any airline offered such a flight.
13:35 Nice little touch from the cockpit to cabin crew, appreciate.
City Airport is just superb .. & the BA flight to New York is a treat. I’m a regular passenger using London City & I have never seen it as busy as when you departed.
Brilliant video! Thank you very much for recording 😊
You know I just love this idea of all business class. I do hope other airlines like Emirates would offer an all business class A350. The one regional All Businesses Class I would love to see is the Airbus 220.
I don't believe An all a350 business class doesn't even profitable. No airline would flush money down a toilet
Sam I believe that the crews who operate The LCY to NYC flights are normally based at LGW.
Sagrado esse senhor Sam chui não me canso assistir os seus vídeos aprendo ventagem todos os dias.
Dear Mr. Sam--You are such a gracious person! I just enjoy your hosting skills so much! I'm a Delta/Northwest 3,000,000 flyer--mostly to my Asian business--Europe--Canada--Carribian--and US domestic.
0:43 what pretty staff they have. Amazing! Love BA. And 04:11 and 05:47 - simply wow!
Damn! Who is doing the editing work for Sam? That's some excellent work.
These days I split my editing work with 2 editors, we all do editing but I am also trying to free up sometime for more content filming.
