Time to add a Harbor Freight special to the Honda Crf450 Barbie Jeep. A 2500 LB winch should help us get some weight over the front axle to improve 0-60 times, control, and self recover from extreme off road obstacles.

Wesley Bartholomew I recommended that a few times in the past. They did that with the Barbie mustang and they said they would put led headlights on the Jeep in a livestream they did not too long ago.

John Paul Jansen I mean, building something like this takes time. They needed to get it running properly first, then they focus on adding cool mods. It’s like a phone, you have to get it and set everything up first before you can download games and apps.

A lot of its due to everything being powder coated plus everything is high dollar top quality product Detroit Locker hooker Flowmaster everything top dollar 38 1/2 inch Super Swamper Thornbirds the list goes on MSD complete ignition motor balanced blueprinted full roller crane. Transmission complete Kevlar with 5-point planetaries heavy duty sprag with Billet Corvette servo. 14 bolt heavy half rear axle frame-off restoration it's absolutely beautiful. Centerline convos as I said the list goes on. Mine has seen a shop one time and I sued him and won. The rest of the work I did

I agree that'd be sick, but idk if that amount of work and *engineering* would be worth it on a vehicle that usually keeps the front wheels in the air, *and* already has a winch lol

Chauncey McGuilicutty true. But !, maybe if he could make it to where they could switch it from all to rear. Since he has said he wanted to make it a crawler also. It would take a lot of engineering I know. But it sounds cool. OR maybe build another one and make it 4x4. 🤔🤔 LoL. I’m dreaming guys , I’m thinking of what I would love to do with something like this. Wouldn’t it be awesome to ride it !!? Gahhh I want too!!

@@weedsmith9317 warranty won't matter since most companies put some stipulation that if you submerge it or get it muddy and don't service it immediately your warranty is over.
You should put some real lights on it next and this is by far my favorite build so far
You guys should install a high power stator. That way your you can mount a battery that will charge for the winch and maybe run lights.
That new bumper piece could be used to hold at least 30 pounds of lead to give you a little more ballast just where you need it the most, up front and down low. Just melt the lead, drill about a 3/8 dia hole with a smaller hole to vent a little higher and turn the frame on its side. Tip, heat the pipe with a torch before you pour the lead to let the lead flow freely instead of freezing up on you.

This thing went from a funny experiment to a professional build so fast! I love the mindset you are approaching this with, constantly looking for flaws to fix.

I use the same winch for a snow plow on a garden tractor... 5 years no issues!! Awesome build guys
You guys should fill some of the front bars with lead shot to weigh it down more!!
If he wants to jump it like that over the driveway. The last thing you want is the front end heavy nose diving into the ground if anything you want it to land on all 4 or just the back wheels first
nathan butler that jump across the road was literally the ONLY jump they’ve ever done with it that landed nose first. Was definitely the shape of the lip that caused that.

Could be the lip,coukd be the weight of the winch on the nose, he could of let off the throttle right before he hit the lip which will cause the front to dive like that also just cause he said qe can adjust the lip in the video doesnt mean it was the lip lol
My 5 year old loves the barbie jeep guys. Now she wants one and so do I. Awesome build guys, it's great that you guys fabbed everything. Makes it that much more enjoyable plus if it breaks you don't have to wait on somebody else to fix it.

Another 1-1/2" on the rear radius arms would still suit the jeep body and stop the back end biting as much when your trying to take your tight corners quickly. Winch, battery, slight extension to rear end, and soften your front end a little more. One of the most fun looking buggy type contraptions I think I've ever seen. 👍

Cost of materials? Probably $700-1500 depending on condition and quality of said materials. To have someone build and tune it for you? Expect at least $3000.

About the handling issues, Maybe think about longer trailing arms in the back, pushing the rear tires out farther would give it much better weight distribution. To help with sliding, maybe try some race-quad tires out front and in the back, the wider tires in the rear wouldn’t dig in as much as the thin tires being used now. Love the build keep the vids coming!

If you move the top of the front shocks inward it will soften the ride, I know they are where they are because of the frame rail but it would be worth it, the front hardly moves when you are diving around.
Or of course you can just get lighter springs off a smaller ATV. Either way awesome work guys love the videos !!

It is very awesome how well the jeep handles in jumps, drifts, wheelies, and while doing a combination of either and more even though it has a really small wheel base, I wish there was a not-so-impossible way to replicate that jeep! :D

A little more preload on the rear might help too, seems like it's usually pretty close to bump when you're ripping

For uncontrollable wheelies check out squat/anti squat on rear link setup, makes a huge difference
Moving the rear shocks closer to vertical will help keep the front end down when you jump it and corner hard
Great job with the winch and great overall build... BUT do not forget about safety when winching and throw a blanket or something over that cable!!!!

Just need to order up about 50lbs. of lead shot, get out a small drill and you can fill some of the front bumper bars to tune the front end weight a bit.
I enjoyed every minute of this one, guys, the thing is so wild. I really think it would be a good idea to put a skid plate under the spare tire, though.

I think if the wheelies were really bothering them, they’d reengineer the rear suspension. Even though there is some complaining about it, I think they love the wheelies.

A front sway bar will keep the front end more planted in high load applications when cornering.

Lower the CG by moving your petrol tank to behind the front bumper and the spare tire above the winch. Should help the wheelies and get rear end moving around.
