I get the idea Lucky was possibly the “runt” of the litter when he was born. He was probably so small that they thought he came out a stillborn at first because he wasn’t moving. It’s possible that if he was a low birth weight, it may have taken him a little extra longer to start moving around. Roger rubbing his back like this kinda helped to wake up his little body to help get it moving and have him show some sign of life. Beautiful scene. 🥰🥰🥰
The noises the puppies made!🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Jeff Daniels is amazing in this movie!
Seeing him in this movie after Dumb and Dumber is a huge difference
@@stache297He's hilarious in that movie. "His head fell off! Yeah, it was pretty old."
Baby Puppy Lucky is so cute and his baby puppy sounds are so sweet.
Cute? He’s beautiful. Look at him.
@@TheAndreagon29
Yeah I agree he's beautiful
@@katelynthewhitewerewolf6376too cute to resist too
You can see the look on pongos face when he's favorite son lucky almost past away it was a miracle.😭
Oml Lucky's little squeals made my heart BURST
So Cute😍🥰😁
Lucky is no doubt a cutie.❤❤❤❤❤❤
I agree, especially when we see his whole body before Pongo barks!
...
🥺14...?
🥹15!!! (🤩WE HIT THE JACKPOT!!!🤩)
IKR, my heart is melting, he's so CUTE!!! It gets me right in the feels
Am I the only one who cries every time I watch this scene? 😢😭
Nope!!!!
He’s not dead
@@gleove1 I know.
Nope. I did as well!!!!
That baby puppy is gorgeous. 🥹
Lucky and the puppies are so cute.
That's exactly what i meant
@@danielmorillo9180
It's sweet Lucky lived he's a sweetheart.
No doubt that they're cute.
Its always funny how possibly the first of the many live action disney remakes is arguably the best one
You want to know the difference between this film and say....the so-called "live-action" Lion King? THIS MOVIE HAS REAL EMOTION. Just look at Pongo's expression in this movie (and mind you, this is a REAL Dalmatian playing Pongo.) You SEE the sadness and worry in his eyes when Nanny tells Roger that they lost the puppy. You see Pongo PLEADING with Roger to help his little son....to save him. And you see and hear his joy when little Lucky is OK. I dare you to find ONE MOMENT in the new Lion King that equals the emotional power of this scene.
Pongo even looks like he had a tear streaking down one of his eyes
FAAAAAAACTS!!!!!!!!!!
I was not impressed with the new lion king film. The cast was good, but the film itself lacked the magic of the original.

Well ya, what are they gonna get real lions?😂
Anita is quite possibly the best character. she didn't have to give the puppies away. had Cruella been out of the way sooner, than it would be a stand alone film live action only.
that 15th puppy is so cute!
It was definitely a miracle that allowed Lucky to live on. Roger, feeling sad as much as Pongo, was having his moments of wonder if there would be a chance for the puppy. He firmly stroked and massaged the puppy, and as it happened, when the puppy was squealing and moving, a miracle pulled through for the puppy as the Lord Himself worked his miracle and through Roger as Roger firmly stroked and massaged the puppy, and it then turned into happiness and Lucky got to live on with his brothers and sisters.
Seeing newborn puppies and hearing their talking squeals always brings a tear to your eye, you gotta love animals and nature
I really love how this amazing scene is ruined by the click subscribe and notification bell noise.
This heart-wrenching moment was also on the 1961 animated edition.
Talk about a near-death experience for Lucky.
Also, to tell the difference between the other pups, Lucky has a horseshoe like pattern for his spots on his back.
I found an article that said that Pongo & Perdita had 8 boy puppies (Lucky, Patch, Rolly, Freckles, Fidget, Dipstick, Whizzer, & Thunder) and 7 girl puppies (Penny, Pepper, Jewel, Two-Tone, Cadpid, Purdy, & Spotty).
Do you know that this scene is based on Dodie Smith's real life experience? Her Dalmatians had 15 puppies and her husband brought the lifeless puppy back to life!
I'm 25 years old and it makes my cry as well. I even have a plush toy Perdita from the animated film still since I was a kid. I even have a cat named Charcoal who's a tuxedo cat black and white or, white and black. So, yeah I love both cats and dogs. 🐶🐱❤🙏
Awww are they so cutest Angel puppies. I hear lucky’s sound so cute. 🐶🥺🥺🥺🥺🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Sat watching this movie as its an all time favourite and yep this scene just played out and again I'm in tears, the look on Rogers face when he tells pongo he's sorry for what happened and then pongos face like he's saying "we have to try and help!" Oooh my heart can never take it..
In the original book the pup that almost died was "Cadpig", while the film was "Lucky". But each Pup were feature in both the book and film but their role were different.
I thought I recognized Joan Plowright as Nanny. She was also Mrs. Wilson in Dennis the Menace (1993), another John Hughes live-action film.
Aaah, I didn't know that!! But I bet you didn't notice Christopher Lloyd was also in Dennis The Menace... He portrayed Switchblade Sam.
@@luislopez3726 I knew that, too. The Angry Video Game Nerd's review of the Dennis the Menace SNES game inspired me to see the movie, and he pointed out Lloyd's role as Sam in that review.
Oh my god. This scene makes me to cry 😥❤️
No doubt that Pongo will be a good responsible dad.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Pongo is is such a wonderful father begging Roger to do something for his puppy and afterwards thanking his mate for so many lovely puppies❤❤.
1:35 Aaaaawww i'm dying 😍 ❤
I love Dals, such a difficult breed but so rewarding. Don't get beyond wanting one without knowing how tough they can be to live it. Super smart, the HAVE to work and be active and they shed a lot. But if you know properly how to do it, they're worth it and then some. If you're a couch potato forget it.
Well said!!
Miracle Of Birth
Thanks To God 🙏
1:05 In the animated he shaked him rapidly, here gently stroked him
Well technically in the animated movie Roger wasn’t shaking lucky he was trying to warm him up and give him a chance to survive
Awww dogs are so precious 🥹
Puppies so cutest little angels. They’re more adorable I’m not gonna cry of adorable 🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭😭😭
Anita! Nanny! 15! We still have 15!
Kathryn Hill
Oh Roger he's alright thank heavens
I bet that's the one that they named Lucky.
They did.
However in the book, the puppy that almost died was a girl runt puppy named Cadpig.
@@keshiaanders6452
She's also included in 101 Dalmatians The Animated Series with Lucky Rolly and Spot.
I like that show.
When nanny goes in to the room sad saying they lost one Pongo " my baby what's wrong with my baby" he goes over licks the face and there he was
0:56 that looked like a 😢
I hear Anita wanted Pongo to go get a look at the puppies within the kitchen.
(excitedly) Fifteen! We have 15 puppies!
When I first watched this, I thought by "lost" she meant that they couldn't find him, because he was hidden in the blanket, and not stillborn
Fun fact:
In the original source material, the pup that almost died is a female pup named Cadpig. Lucky also appeared in the original novel and he got his name from the horseshoe of spots on his back.
Also, Lucky in the book appears to be much smarter than his Disney counterparts...
Cute Lucky❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very awesome movie it is
Pete Davidson sent me here
This same thing happened with my brother but it was a miracle he survived

Pongo: I don't want to give him up.

Pongo: Please. Don't give him up yet.
This scene always makes me tear up every time 🥹
Luckyboy is lucky to be alive
Wait what, Lucky was the fifteen one?
Pongo is happy now. He's a father.
Oh dear that was both tragically and reviled proud later in this scene together, I was upset and graving for Pongo sake that he lost his sweet beautiful son, Lucky but, I cried in 😂 to a heart and mind of light more that, Lucky is again a live and breathing well welcome back to land of living and light dear, Lucky boy and strong good as new as ever man, I need a tissue ever time, I see a puppy being revived like that don’t, I right guys.
Pete Davidson brought me here...If you know, you know...
This is a old school film. You must be a kid

Oh my God there so many baby puppies 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Am I the only one that noticed Pongo is fixed? Perdy has some explaining to do.
It probably happened after Pongo and Perdy married.
Movie logic
Lol I'm sure using a gelding spared a lot of parents a lot of awkward questions 😂
I actually have that little rascal lucky at my house and he is being a good dog
he didn't even rub the puppy ? lol Roger rubbed it in the first one to get it warmed up and starting to move, in this one he just... wishes it lives and it does? 😆

C'mon Lucky please live
Nice.
You got to be kidding me!
That is so Upsetting 😮😢
1:17 😮
While still done greatly in the live action adaptation, I feel like the original film did it better. The way the tension sits there for only a little, but feels like an hour. It sets the tone up so much better with how it’s silent and no music.
Anyone else notice the tear in Pongo's right eye as Roger stroked Lucky?
Pete Davidson brought me here.
I love this scene but I hate that bell for subscribing!
3:03 Love ❤️
he’s not smoking his pipe like in the original smdh
Why did Roger and Anita let Pongo and Perdita to have puppies or not give their puppies away when usually in reality dogs need to be castrated or puppies have to be given away?
This took place in the 90s, best not to overthink it
You're overanalyzing a children's classic!
Pete Davidson brought me here
Is so cute 🥹
I see why they call him Lucky.
This remember me the assassin's creed 2
The father save his son
That loud bell sound is annoying though
Now I understand why they gave it that name.
