I was just wondering why there are raccoons in this scene, but I suppose it's kind of like the American robin in Mary Poppins, and either Disney decided to include something familiar to American audiences or the filmmakers just didn't do their research.
I think both are just as equally Good as each other in their own way and trust me I don’t say that often about original Animated Classics and Live action remakes.

I rewatchted this movie recently, and one thing I noticed is that the adult Dalmatians don't actually accomplish anything. The heroic terrier (named Fisher in supplementary material) witnessed the initial "dog-knapping" and followed the "Baduns" all the way to DeVill Manor, rallies a bunch of farm animals to help, then rescues all 99 puppies himself, with his farm animal friends defeating Cruella and co. The human police then find and deliver the Dalmatians back to the Darlings. Pongo and Perdy accomplish nothing whatsoever beyond worrying their humans.😂
