I have this bag in X-Pac, it is my first premium bag & I love it. It is primarily my work bag, so I use it for daily commutes to work via bicycle, walking, driving & carry on/personal item flights for ~3-4 day work travel. I only use it in backpack mode. The briefcase handles are great for carrying a jacket on the outside of the bag. I roll up the jacket, put it between the two handles and use the button snap or a carabiner to secure them together. The shoulder strap stow-away space is great for storage of flat items. The D ring that the messenger mode strap clips to is great spot for a retractable key ring for my bike lock keys. The front pocket key lanyard is also an okay spot for bike lock keys, too short for house keys.
@@mr_red13 I'm always watching reviews of bags, and I haven't seen one that makes me want to replace the Flight Pack 3 X-Pac as my edc bag. Had it for almost 2 years and I don't see any wear, or damage. I would recommend it. NN's recent review shows that the day pack is smaller, and my flight pack doesn't usually stand on its own the way I pack it.

I have a travel pack 3 small from Aer. Like it a lot, though at times it feels like it doesn’t fit underneath an airline seat consistently. I get conflicted if getting the flight pack is worth it since I have the travel pack already.

I currently use the Qwstion Simple Office as a 3-in-1. At 40×30×11 cm, no airplane has ever complained about using it as an extra item next to my full size carry-on (Samsonite Ecodiver). Yet it is roomy, because no space is wasted on cushioning, which I can do without. Only I wish there was a sporty edition with waterproof zippers.

I love this bag. It was the runner up when I searched for an EDC/everyday bag. It lost to "Ridge - The commuter" which is the best everyday backpack in the market IMO (it won because it has a separate laptop compartment). Great review! 🎉
Can you do a round up/review video of just convertible backpack/messengers? Def want one to serve as an under the seat/laptop holder for flights, separate from my main travel pack, but then it can double as my daypack at my destination.
Your review video does help me a lot. I've ordered this pack for a few days but haven't receieved it yet. I chose it because of its looking and hideable backpack straps. And its 3-way backpacking attracted me a lot. Unfortunately the X-Pac version was sold out so I purchased the ordinary one. And it's also my first AER bag, thank you for reviewing.
Yea that's a tough one, but I'd say base your decision on what you prefer - a simple (amazing) backpack, or a more complex (and equally amazing) 3-in-1
For travel for 3 or 4 night with Ryanair free personal item backpack I use 2 backpack 1 the go ruck gr1 21l And the modern dayfarer backpack v1 And I think for a flight backpack for this cheap flights these are better choice . But as Aron say if you use this backpack for a companion of a luggage this is a great choice

You should choose one with a separate laptop, tablet, water bottle and main compartment. You don’t want your food/water to mix with your electronic gears,
@@Salty_Biscuitz88 great advice! I don't 100% agree tho, there are dozens of best-selling bags that have a water bottle pocket in the main compartment, but it def poses a risk (although it looks much better and is a more streamlined carrying experience).
The drawback to AER is how similar all their bags are. Like I have the AER travel pack. And wanted the day/city/flight pack but it's basically the same bag just different sizes. Some people might like that, i personally do not. Hense why I I'm scouring all of nomads nation for a new edc bag. Lol

I like this pack but what’s your opinion on the best day pack to use for the office (carrying limited items), but also for attending a conference? Things to consider: 1. Material shouldn’t collect or gather dust, 2. Prefer less visible branding - looking to get a black bag that looks “mysterious" 3. Expandable, but still small and sleek when taking it to the office. It shouldn’t look like I’m hopping on a flight after clocking out, 4. Water bottle holder that is practical to use in both backpack and messenger mode, 5. Quick access pocket with pen holders, and big enough to hold a wallet, phone, and notepad, 6. All straps should be comfortable, and 7. During the conference, I can stuff the bag with “goodies” but still be able to reach in and quickly find something I like the Black Ember, the Aer, TumBuk2, Tortuga, etc.. but each have their pros and cons and I’m not sure which would be best for my situation. I know one bag might not fit all the requirements, so any recommendation on the best is appreciated. Thanks for you advice!
your need #4 won't happen. Aside from that, if you need expansion it's gonna come down to Nomatic Travel Bag, Nomatic Backpack, Knack Pack Medium Expandable... and that's it

I saw that AER now offers the Pro Pack in a 20L version which is also the same volume as the Flight Pack 3. If you had to pick one as work bag (laptop, notebook, chargers, mouse and keyboard) and potentially workout cloths/shoe, which bag would you pick between the Pro Pack and Flight Pack 3?
That’s awesome! I didn’t know that they offered it in a 20L. For me, I’d go with the Pro Pack over the Flight Pack for EDC because it’s that’s what it’s designed for - to be an incredible everyday backpack. The flight pack has so much versatility, but all of that is better for airline travel imo

The Flight Pack is really interesting and I love the side handle for the vertical luggage pass though but the clamp opening of the Pro Pack does seem so much easier to pack cloths and shoes but I hate the fact that it doesn't have a side handle.

I use the aer fit pack, the fact I can carry my sliders in the shoe compartment, snacks, my steam deck and tablet is a steal

I have the Aer gym duffle and it is awesome. Looking for something fir air travel. Its a toss up betwefn this and the aer fitpack 3, idk

the top handle is pretty beefy but yea no side handle will be a deal breaker for some

This bag has so many originational pockets and slots that's there's no room for anything you might want to put in it.
This is not true. Yes, the pockets take up some space, but not in a way that completely compromises the main compartment
