One thing I love about the Lions coaches is the willingness to plug guys into different places. They want to have every player contribute. They are also patient. They can see talented players and are willing to give a player time to develop into something, and sometimes that is "something" unexpected! This is not the SOL anymore.
Can we please just rip the audio from these and throw it onto the podcast feed. Pleeeeeeeeeeeease! I'm consuming maybe 30% of the content I used to without the podcast. Also please dont cut your answers short! Lol (inside joke landed). The true long term fans love the long, and fully rounded out thoughts and observations!
How in the everloving hell do Brad and Dan make this all look so easy? Aside from the first 11 games in 2021, the Carolina debacle in 2022 and the second half of the NFC title game in San Fran - this team has done nothing but go from rock bottom in all facets to model franchise in all facets. Everything. It's mind-blowing what they've done so far, and given what you and everyone else watching saw on the field the last couple of weeks... we ain't seen a damn thing yet..
The take on Campbell (Jack) reminds me of another quite LB the Lions had...... Chris Spielman! He came out of his shell, but first few years he was cut and dry short answers. He turned out pretty good too.. ..
It’s amazing that we can recognize the limited practice time when Barnes & Campbell playing SAM during the season but expected Jamo and Goff to hit the ground running when Jamo wasn’t practicing at all.
It goes to show we don’t have nuanced enough discussions. In this same video, it was said the lions run a very detailed offense and we already know in season practice is limited, when does Jamo get these details if he isn’t practicing?
Great video, if a little short. 🥺 Bigger impact to the defense this year? A. Secondary overhaul Or B. Hire of Terrell Williams I will also accept a tie, because I think they will both show a lot of impact on all aspects of our defense.
Remember that one time Derek Barnes absolutely whiffed on Dak Prescott where he was in a he end zone and a sitting duck and he missed him like he was invisible and Dak then threw a 99 yard TD to CD Lamb
A lot of Hooker's problem is that with the over the top endorsment of Goff, he may have lost a little motivation - mind set issue and needs to be thrown into a fight for your life to waken his instincts.😣
Meco! You did so well in the first half not using "like" so often! Made a huge difference. But then walking about onwu you started like bombing, very jarring! Much love!
Dan had high hopes for Harris last year at this time, and we know he flopped!!! What does that say for Levi???? Time will tell, unlike others I have had fusion back surgery and it does take 3 whole years for the fusion to completely heal!!! Levi is at that 3 year point, so lets see!!! By the way there is no way to speed up that healing time, the bone graft has to harden!!!
Hooker, situation,... a bit like Andre Ware. It's really up to Hooker to prove everyone who doubted him. EVERY QB is a gamble. I think if nothing else in any given game, there will be situations where no team can possibly be prepared for what Hooker offers. Defenses are going to be forced to prepare for running packages 📦. Hendon doesn't need to start, ... As far as Rakestraw,... red shirting is fine. We will lose some of our DB depth who is only secured through THIS YEAR. In the mean time he can LEARN
Exactly 💯,... we don't have the hard running game and blocking to prevent defenses from teeing off. Ben is using vanilla offenses to test performance of individuals
The black dude looks like he lives with his mom and pays her rent and the white dude looks like he lives with a cat and his mom pays his. 😂😂😂 great content. 👍
With all of this potential talent, why not do a lot more rotation of these skilled players through out the game to insure they gain in performance and provide additonal strength to the team. This also can provide and advantage for intense play players to allow recovery time... keep strong longer through the term of the game.🥸
That's good in theory, but you do want to develop chemistry and confidence in each other. The more you rotate the more you are breaking up pairings and limiting in game reps. You can do it at certain positions but not so much at others. DT, rotate them to keep them fresh also based on game scenario. But can be done as much as LB because 1 needs to call plays and command the defense like a QB. You also don't really want a rotation at certain positions, you definitely want players to separate themselves skill wise so you know who your best players are and who you can depend on in high risk situations.
Tell Erik we are starving for more podcasts
Ditto
100%
Seriously
Miss POD cast 😢
Wow these guys are good. They should start a podcast.

Yep. Iffy was quite the revelation last year. Barnes too. We've never seen this in Detroit before.

You should definitely make a new video each day, or new podcast each day :) I would for sure listen!
That’s the plan once we get into training camp 👍🏾

Jer, let’s us not forget, Megitron lead the league three years in a row ! Plus he always had drop problems! And he is a HOFer!
Great info!!!
In POD folklore, it is known that being as steady as a mouse can translate to jumping the whistle. It’s a real journalism.
Great presentation guys. Very informative…
Good show - keeps the anticipation high!👍
This football y'all need to do back to back to back every day!!!
Very exciting!

It goes to show that people treat different positions differently when it comes to development
It goes to show we don’t have nuanced enough discussions. In this same video, it was said the lions run a very detailed offense and we already know in season practice is limited, when does Jamo get these details if he isn’t practicing?
@@adgee5401‼️‼️thank you
All last year I kept saying let Barnes rush, great pocket push everytime it felt like with speed not being used yet
Great video, if a little short. 🥺

Agreed too short. Need more
Thank Gawd
We’re not gone act like Jamo didn’t catch a 4th down pass to keep them in the game in the nfc championship game ? 😂
5:38 - Hello, Zazu lol
Is Anzolone the best LB since Levy ? (Really pulling for "soup" to be a great middle LB!)
Remember that one time Derek Barnes absolutely whiffed on Dak Prescott where he was in a he end zone and a sitting duck and he missed him like he was invisible and Dak then threw a 99 yard TD to CD Lamb
impossible to forget that play and then to find out the game was lost on that play; made just a big difference in the game.

What about Brandon Joseph?
Malcolm Rodrigo will have a good year

Lol it happens but I’m working on it
Jamo is going to be the home run hitter who has a .225 batting average but 45 home runs.
👍🏻🦁
“Sigh”
This team
OMG
This team reminds me of Emmitt’s Cowboys
With a much better offense
And as good a Defense
Hutch is our Ed TooTall Jones
Where are the highlights
Iowa
Jack Campbell was second on the team in tackles. Calling his year a red shirt year, is kind of silly.
A little bit but we mean that in the sense of not overwhelming him with too many snaps and just throwing him to the wolves
I didn't see any highlights, what happened?
Talking points were the “highlights”

I saw a lot of Barnes missing tackles injuring himself lol and blowing sacks! He’s not a playmaker wtf?

With Hooker it will all come down to IQ, dose he have the FBI to compete at the NFL level!!!

No disrespect but dude on the right doesn't know how jamo is goin to develop and what hes capable of
Don’t just say “the website” say the name. There are a million websites out there.
We consistently promote our website in each of our videos. So when we say “the website” we expect people to know what we’re talking about.
It doesn’t matter about Hooker. If Goff goes down the season is over. He may end up a wasted pick but he he cheap
A player not being ready on your timeline doesn’t make the pick wasted. This is his rookie year for all intent and purposes. What is the rush?
@@adgee5401how many years does a contract last., the dude is how old? 2 years after this one? I guess there’s time but the value is draining away
