I gotta tell you I am sitting here watching these videos about pennies going through my own box of pennies, and I swear I almost missed a great find!!!! I found a wheat penny from 1944. Now I almost missed it because it is as shiny as a 2018. I kid you not. Its phenomenal
Almost halfway through a $200 bag of pennies, and now I need to start over. Lol
And wouldn't be worth it if you did have that $20,000 coin just for a look over and you might find something else, like I just found out about the 64 pennies and the 88, this Guy is great.
Very funny!! Been there done that!!
Cool
This is what I have been wanting to see. Coins that have been well circulated and are still worth money. This is the 1st video I have seen that shows what little guys & gals like me can look for in everyday change. Thank you so much for this kind of liftoff.
I drive myself nuts checking for errors and pennies seem to be my favorite for some reason. I've got a bunch of all versions of the Lincoln series that now are getting close scrutiny. Thanks to you, I'm getting an idea of what to look out for. Thanks a lot for sharing.
One of the great things about collecting errors and varieties is that they are, and always will be independent of current silver and gold prices, and they always hold their value!
My husband collected coins in his teens but lost interest later on. When I started I asked him to bring down his collection. He has rolls and rolls of 60s, 70s qne 80s pennies, plus some wheaties and books full in his collection. He was talking about selling it, and I told him he'd better not if he knows what 's good for him! Right now I'm going through the 60s and 80s separating them by year and zinc or copper. I'm going thru those first because he has bags of 1970s so I'll wait till I'm done with these. He saved me a lot time going to banks and buying coins. He has a 1955 DDO. I'm hoping he'll send it in to have it graded one of these days. Anyway, I'm new to coin collecting and your channel, and I really learn a lot from your videos. Thank You!
Hang on to them. I have books full of pennies all complete but the 1909 VBD S. I've been saving every sheet penny that came in our house since 1963. And at this time all I really have is something else to dust. Better off handing them down . No one will get rich on them now. Keep them , have something to hand down to your great great grandchildren.
I find myself looking at practically all the change I get. After I get home, I check your channel to be sure I haven't overlooked coins you've talked about. Thanks for uploading these helpful videos.
There's too much coin info for new enthusiasts like myself to remember.
Thanks again.
Hey Shawn I've been saving ever 1969 pennies since I heard about the DD years ago and haven't checked none of the rest of them for any DDs on them, thanks man, love your great Info.
I'm listening and learning what I can. Thank you, Bubba.
Thank you partner for the education. It's taught me how to appreciate my new hobby. Take care !
I just found a 1969 S penny while watching your video. I've been looking through a large change jar I inherited in January. Exciting! 😅
Your videos are always great to view!

Even ugly coins need love, too! isn't that the truth!

BlueRidgeSilverhound,
Thank you for the encouragement, here. I know I could use a cool grand or two.
Please know that, thanks to your videos, I have/am in the habit of:
Watched/subscribed to all the coin videos.
Stopped using coin change to purchase things.
I check every single nickel, penny, dime and quarter that may end up in my pocket.
But, so far, the only coins I have are questionable as to errors, etc.
Thanks for the heads up.

The Beauty of the Coin exists in the antiquety of the It💎✨💯❗
Will have to check my jar of 1969 pennies. Thanks for the video.
Very inspiring . Thank you.
This a good show I have been collecting pennies since 1970 and the information on here is correct from my research and even show me pennies that are valuable that I haven't heard about keep up the great work
Thanks again for another great show! 👍🏼😊 Lots of Love Bobbi 😊
The content was excellent. Thanks for the education.
I have one 1969 S and 1 1969 D so far. On the 69 S you stated a DDO but, unless I missed it twice, no explanation of where that particular DDO is? Well, thanks for all you do! You've become my fave coin guy to go to because you do cover it well!
@@BlueRidgeSilverhound Thank you very much but the link not working right now. Will try again later just in case!
I have one 1960 at 1974 one cent
Loved it! I have some that were mentioned.
Thank you sir for sharing your experience and knowledge. Regards from the Sunshine State.
bless you for this video. I've had this question for a while but honest didn't want to ask it on some of the groups as I'm very new to all this. I have been keeping the ones I found regardless of coin condition but wondered if I should or not.....now I know I'm on the right track. Thanks!
I just got into metal detecting and this helps so much. Great video!
Thank you, for the info shawn,. You're much appreciated,..
More power!,..
God bless,..
Thanks for the encouragement. Love your videos
Thank you for your vids! You really give out some great information. I always wanna learn more about our hobby all the time.
Just found my niche. I'm going to collect dirty coins in any denomination. Being one who likes to go against the grain, this would make a perfect fit. The big plus is, I won't limit myself and miss out on a diamond in the rough.
great information!!
I have a 1969 S penny. Double die on obverse of the coin, on the date and the S. The double die Is very strong also.
Wait till I get to my wheat pennies then we'll be having fun!❤
Awesome I have that 92 but mine has no mint on it and it's double struck on the liberty, date and the reverse side the AM are close and the word state's is doubled. I've also noticed that the wasn't punched right . It has errors but it's in great condition. I have the 66 like the one you were showing and I have the 69 s mint and 3 other d mint 69s. I've been saving for many years and I've got a ton more to go through. I'll be taking pics for you soon so you'll be able to see them. I'm not looking for big money, it's fun for me. God bless
Lot's of great information very helpful. Thanks!
Those doubled dies are hard for me to see! But, I am going to start looking! Thank you.
Can't believe it but I got 1 and it's also doubled on the reverse!! To boot it is a beautiful red high grade!!!
Thanks for the video, going to check out the dirty pennies.
We will keep in touch
Ty Shaun I am down with brown I have found more in brown nasty cents then ever found in the pretty penny later, .
Enjoyed. But boy it's hard to see some of those double dies, especially on the mint mark
Nice video!!
Whoa ! My coins use to scream King Kong ain't got sheet on me , but now I'll take em ! Yeah , keep the tribe alive brother ! Pheeeeew .
I definitely have the problem of under-grading better condition pennies. I'm always seeing MS slabs I would feel bad labeling lowest possible AU. I suppose that's good for me if/when I get any pro graded & slabbed, just don't like being that far off.
Nice to see that some of the "patina" coated coins are worth something...
😂😂😂 I don't even know what to say😂😂😂
I have 2 of the 69s's and 2 close am 92's.
I love this game.
That was great, thank you ✌ 💕
I have a gorgeous 92 Lincoln with doubling on reverse and it appears that it wasn't coated completely
Okay at last real Lincoln's nice. bankrollers no patina not unique baby coins.A well used one is best
.....
Nice to see and learn!
You take care as well BRSH!
1❤️
It is truly amazing to me that; the 69S was overlooked that many times, just for the sheer rarity for that variety, and an AU example of a 92 close-AM sold for just under $2,000... is it because it is a Denver example and not as rare as the P..??
I have rare coins
Thank you for your info.
(From a new collector)
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.
I got 1992d mint set for the penny the am has to be touching for close am?
I have 1966 penny dd obverse i love that one
I love your videos i am very new to this but have acquired a huge collection . I have problems with spotting double dies?
Thanks for the Info
Great and informative video, thank you.
Amazing, thank you!!
THANK YOU ! I HAVE FOUND 2 1966
I like that sense of humor 👍😂❗
Great job and video
Thanks
Great video. Just submitted a 1970 S DDO to PCGS. Brown and not in great condition. Hoping for an EF grade. Found it roll hunting.
Scott Hill how did you submit to them.
Sue Brown: First you will have to purchase a membership in order to submit. PCGS has three different options. Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Gold and Platinum come with vouchers for free submissions. Gold is four. Platinum is eight. Basically your prepaying for the submissions so they're not actually free. Use the online submission form. It's much less complicated and quicker. Print off the form. Box up your coins per their instructions and send it in. You will have to pay for return shipping. You can find more detailed information on their website. NGC has a similar format.Hope this was helpful.
thank you very much. what if i have a lot it is very heavy and is it safe to mail.
PCGS recommends sending in submissions by Registered Mail. It cost more but is the most secure. You can refer to their website or contact customer service to have all your questions answered.
Scott Hill how by much did it cost to submit
No it’s a D. I got excited for a minute.
Hi Blue Ridge, there are no coin stores that pays big money.
Hay BlueRidgeSilvehound great videos can you show your collection.
good to know
What is the best website to sell coins on or do we need to have in value first I don't want a lot of different coins and I have a 1920 will defect on the lip is separated from his face or it might be doubled stamped
I absolutely ENJOYED THIS VIDEO! I HAVE 3 OF THESE.. where would I find out how much mine are worth? I have 3 1969 s dds.. I just subscribed so I will look through your other videos for more info.. I finally found someone who doesn't just focus on high grade or uncirculated coins! Thank you so much this video is very educational especially for a bigginer like me lol.. Nichole G
Keeping with the theme, I found a dirty or dull 1980 D penny. Just found an error on the reverse. Look for the IC in America to be closer than normal. Also possible doubling on the mintmark. This one I'll hold onto for a while. Something I do if short on time is keep a little plastic change baggy with me at all times. If I find something interesting, I'll write Coins of Interest on the bag so they can be examined later. Hint, hint.
Thanks for this video. I live in a area where battles occurred during the Civil War in Tennessee,so hopefully getting a metal detector.
Found a 1970 S fue day ago, thanks for your help
Sold! I'm looking now...
thanks for your videos friend. They really illustrate a lot. I would love to see some video of the horrible cents. example, a penny of exorcist lincoln. of that kind of cents as destroyed by war or something like that. I mean pennies badly coined, not by wear or heels. Nowhere do I find something similar. nobody talks about them. or they're worthless, and that's why they do not come to light. but in my little experience, for me they are artistic, and they have great value too. Thanks for reading and this was translated because I do not speak English. but I really like your videos. You look like a professional person and it would be. translated into English but participate and I signed up to your channel. a hug and keep going friend. Chao Chao
This site is GREAT!!!!
Great video! Lots of useful info.
I have a question, of all the coin collecting videos out there, I haven't seen any where coins are missing letters. Is this not a sought after variety? Is it just considered a weak strike? I ask obviously becauseove found, what I like to think is a "one of a kind" 1975 D...missing the 5, the I, the N, and G, "IN GOD..." ALSO MISSING the "ST" in the word "Trust"..
Also the "R and T" in liberty are DD.
Awesome👍
You're awesome Silverhound!!!!
Is their a way to clean the gunk off without messing up the value? Thanks for sharing
I found a MS 1994 penny that is way thicker than it should be for a zinc penny. Is it anything special and what's the value of it?
Cosmic.....😎🤯🥳
I’ve looking lately and I’ve found many imperfections I m just not sure where to send them for appraisal
I have a 1961 D penny with a silver Blob across the the lower face... I thought it was peeling paint at first, but it's not. What do you recommend I do with it? I don't know about coins but now find it fascinating...
Always a good time coinalholics
I have a 1974 Lincoln penny beautiful condition that weighs 3.0
You have alot of great info. Is it possible to get close ups on the pics to zoom in on the errors and doubled dies? They are not clearly visable on the photo's that you show.
This is one of my favourite 2 watch$$ I got alot of these! Post pic.
can you explain why it's a double dye. what colors to look for etc please?
thanks for this
Awesome stuff
Great vid...well done.
I have a penny that's a 1974 D and by the liberty on the front it has letters that have been stamped in the coin
Wow , ". I have one of those to . 1966 penny
Other than that, the information is just great. Your channel is super and very informative.
GREAT video.!!!
