"The Kurds have no friends but the mountains." -Kurdish Proverb
Better Friends Than Mountains is a documentary about the tragic history of the Kurdish people, the mounting geopolitical conflict in the Middle East, and the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
There are approximately 31 million Kurds spread across 13 countries in and around 'the cradle of civilization.' They constitute the world's largest stateless people and remain one of the most unreached and unengaged people groups on earth. This scorned and marginalized people may very well be the ripest harvest field in the Muslim world.
At this critical juncture in history, as the battle for the destiny of the Middle East rages on, it is imperative that the Church in the nations understands what is happening in the region and how the Lord would have us offer ourselves as living sacrifices on the altar of His will in the days ahead.
We believe that the Kurdish people should have better friends than mountains.

Today I participated in your 21 days of prayer, fasting for and sowing into the Kurdish people. Thank you so much for your beautiful ministry, carrying the gospel to the unreached and lifting the banner of Jesus Christ. Thank you for loving the Middle East. You are not alone. Carry on!

That really scares me.... I know here in the West it's easy to be scared and complacent due to the commodities and luxuries here- we're not faced with much physical persecution and therefore we aren't desperate in prayer- and therefore we aren't burning hot like Jesus requires...
I'm embarrassed to admit that I wouldn't go there at this time in my life.
I pray we as the western church would start agonizing in prayer and seizing the kingdom by force.

Funny how we all have a own opinion, when Christians help they don’t kill you if you switch, it our job as Christians to share the gospel, what you do with it is between you and God. We are to show Jesus through acts, not words. These men and women are wonderful, I wish I had half the courage they have. Thank you

The Kurds are our family, they are Indo-Europeans, like us Germanic, Greek and Romanic peoples, and like The People of Northern India and Iran. They are about the only Nation in the Middle east that did not get their own country after ww I, they were betrayed by president Wilson at that time.

I realize that I am responding to a comment from 2 yrs ago but wanted to respond to the question of conversion. Missions to a people group has a focus of invitation to come to know the living Christ. Not to force conversions or to make a political statement. If people convert it is only because they responded to God’s Holy Spirit. It is only about a move of God.

Thank you for your response. I also believe that all humans should have freedom of religion. I heartedly disagree with those who would force both culture and religion onto a group of people. Listening with care is what is called for, even if both sides disagree.
