My wife and I are actually reading it, great way to get daily reading in and getting through the whole Bible in a year. Of course you can read way more than that in a given day if you are able to. Some people don’t talk about the divinity of Christ, but as we read through the scriptures, it is evident. Praise the Lord and may He bless everyone and that we may all be in full obedience to Him.

I've been a Catholic Christian all my life since I was a infant and I attended Catholic church mass every Saturday or Sunday and never once has Christianity done me any harm. I even have a friend of mine who isn't a catholic but who happens to be a Baptist and is planning on becoming a Baptist minister. He and I have our different Christian views but still I consider him a good friend and I consider him a Brother in Christ. And I have another friend of mine who isn't Catholic but who happens to be a Greek Orthodox Christian. He and I may have our different Christian views but still I consider him a good friend and a Brother in Christ too.
I've been atheist since I was about 8 I'd say, but was brought up Anglican. Now I'm 31 I feel like I'm only just appreciating how the message of Jesus can be a powerful force in one's individual spiritual journey and to better oneself I'm not quite at the stage where I'll be yelling from the rooftops about it, but I just want to learn more about it and use him as an example to be a better person and try harder to contribute to my community
Those are good things to strive for. But that's NOT what Jesus focused on. He would tell you to repent of your sins and follow him. He would say you need to born again, this time being born of the Spirit. He said that in John 3, where Jesus continued: [16] For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. [18] Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. May God richly bless you.
Take your time with it. Everyone's journey is different. I was also brought up Anglican, but it wasn't until i went to college and studied about the cosmos and philosophy of life did my faith in an intelligent mind behind creation strengthen. Doing research on other beliefs ever one mentions one man - Jesus. So i got to understand he was literally God (the intelligent mind) who became a man. I will say do your research (not blind faith) but at the same time just ask God to reveal the truth to you even if you do not believe. Watch what will happen. I can assure you you'll be surprised.

i dont think i will ever truly understand how difficult life was for the early christians. the bible hadnt been written, no guidance, no songs either. gospels songs are so dear to me. as a way to encourage myself. they didnt even have that. not to mention the persecution. truly what a luxury it is to be a christian now. grateful

A lot of atheists concede that he existed but was not some magical spiritual being, but after seeing these docs online and doing research over the last year to confirm as much as I could, I'm 100% convinced it is all mythology that was blended from many sources. It's all very interesting but also very scary that millions worldwide are so brainwashed and take so many characters and stories of the bible literally. It's simply dangerous ideology. I don't know how many times I've watched this documentary. At least a dozen but probably twice that. It's just so well made. Also it inspired me to look up and read some of the books by the experts. Frontline used to be good like this
Some of these experts lack knowledge. "Paul was more famous than Jesus because of his writing?" He wrote about Jesus, and the entire New Testament is about Jesus. "Early Christians were attracted to rituals." This was a free will movement, and countless people died for that belief. I was not attracted to Christianity or any of the rituals- I mocked them. Now I am in love with Jesus because the living God visited me, I received the Holy Spirit and was completely changed.

I prefer to read the Bible and get my information from there. Anything outside of that is both not important or relevant and can lead a person astray. Make up you on mind and let the Holly Spirit lead you in the correct way. Be careful about following "experts". I find educated Experts in the Bible also, they were call Sadducees and Pharisees. And we see where that got them. All you need to is BELIEVE that Christ was the Son of God, he Died for our sins and was resurrected form the grave 3 days later, is in heaven now with God, left the Holy Spirit here with man until his return, that all have signed and come short of the glory of God, and confess your sins to Jesus and you will be forgiven.
He's saying Paul is "far better known" as in we have more direct evidence of his own thoughts and ideas because of his writings, so we know more about him personally. We have no direct writings from Jesus himself.

I'm a Buddhist but I'm curious about this religion. I have to say, if I was a Christian, I would be very upset by evangelicals calling themselves "Christians," it doesn't seem they believe in anything Christlike. I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith. So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana". I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly… I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling. He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car. A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.

This is why I love Christianity. The history and social/political and economical context helps put it all together. I've recently decided to observe Christianity again as a lifestyle but I haven't changed how I really feel about it. I just focus on the point of the uprising and apply it in my life, while also hoping that there will be a brighter future for mankind, whether or not it happens in my lifetime, or at all. Where I am right now in life is that I want to believe in theism. I'm just choosing Christianity as my outlet towards that means.
If you have courage, ask Holy Spirit to show you TRUTH. He may dump so much truth it is frightening. Just ask for courage to know it. If you come to something you can't stand knowing, ask for a delay on that subject. But it may be late.
If you are not a believer or have not been raised in a Christian home it is difficult to believe any of this. If you have a supernatural encounter with God and/or His Son Jesus Christ you will understand. If you ever have that supernatural encounter that comes from calling out to God your heart will be changed, your life will be changed, you will be a new person, and you will understand what that means. The Fall of Jerusalem was foretold to the early disciples by Jesus himself. Its as though most had lost their memory. Some were saved because when they saw that the Romans had left they remembered Jesus's warning a fled to the mountains and other towns and cities. Crucifixion was a gruesome and extremely painful punishment. The knees were bent and the spikes were driven through the bone of the heel below the ankle. There are some examples found with the spikes still present.

My wife and I are actually reading it, great way to get daily reading in and getting through the whole Bible in a year. Of course you can read way more than that in a given day if you are able to. Some people don’t talk about the divinity of Christ, but as we read through the scriptures, it is evident. Praise the Lord and may He bless everyone and that we may all be in full obedience to Him.

I've been a Catholic Christian all my life since I was a infant and I attended Catholic church mass every Saturday or Sunday and never once has Christianity done me any harm. I even have a friend of mine who isn't a catholic but who happens to be a Baptist and is planning on becoming a Baptist minister. He and I have our different Christian views but still I consider him a good friend and I consider him a Brother in Christ. And I have another friend of mine who isn't Catholic but who happens to be a Greek Orthodox Christian. A lot of atheists concede that he existed but was not some magical spiritual being, but after seeing these docs online and doing research over the last year to confirm as much as I could, I'm 100% convinced it is all mythology that was blended from many sources. I don't know how many times I've watched this documentary. At least a dozen but probably twice that. It's just so well made. Also it inspired me to look up and read some of the books by the experts. Frontline used to be good like this

Some of these experts lack knowledge. "Paul was more famous than Jesus because of his writing?" He wrote about Jesus, and the entire New Testament is about Jesus. "Early Christians were attracted to rituals." This was a free will movement, and countless people died for that belief. I was not attracted to Christianity or any of the rituals- I mocked them. Now I am in love with Jesus because the living God visited me, I received the Holy Spirit and was completely changed.
I agree with you. There is a lot of slightly misleading information in the video. And there is speculation which leads to assumptions. We all know what assume stands for, make a.... out of u and me. I prefer to read the Bible and get my information from there. Anything outside of that is both not important or relevant and can lead a person astray. Make up you on mind and let the Holly Spirit lead you in the correct way. Be careful about following "experts". I find educated Experts in the Bible also, they were call Sadducees and Pharisees. And we see where that got them.
All you need to is BELIEVE that Christ was the Son of God, he Died for our sins and was resurrected form the grave 3 days later, is in heaven now with God, left the Holy Spirit here with man until his return, that all have signed and come short of the glory of God, and confess your sins to Jesus and you will be forgiven.
He's saying Paul is "far better known" as in we have more direct evidence of his own thoughts and ideas because of his writings, so we know more about him personally. We have no direct writings from Jesus himself.

I'm a Buddhist but I'm curious about this religion. I have to say, if I was a Christian, I would be very upset by evangelicals calling themselves "Christians," it doesn't seem they believe in anything Christlike. I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith.
So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana".
I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly…
I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling.
He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car.
A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.
WHY?..why??!!didn’t that happen for an innocent child that’s been abducted or suffered & died after horrible abuse &/or murder!!.. which all keeps prevalent upon innocent children, the utter suffering afflicted upon them!.. all for hundred of years now!! Why for you? 💔

This is why I love Christianity. The history and social/political and economical context helps put it all together. I've recently decided to observe Christianity again as a lifestyle but I haven't changed how I really feel about it. I just focus on the point of the uprising and apply it in my life, while also hoping that there will be a brighter future for mankind, whether or not it happens in my lifetime, or at all.
Where I am right now in life is that I want to believe in theism. I'm just choosing Christianity as my outlet towards that means.
If you have courage, ask Holy Spirit to show you TRUTH. He may dump so much truth it is frightening. Just ask for courage to know it. If you come to something you can't stand knowing, ask for a delay on that subject. But it may be late.
If you are not a believer or have not been raised in a Christian home it is difficult to believe any of this. If you have a supernatural encounter with God and/or His Son Jesus Christ you will understand. If you ever have that supernatural encounter that comes from calling out to God your heart will be changed, your life will be changed, you will be a new person, and you will understand what that means. i’m a hard atheist but it’s impossible to deny the effects of religion on human history and experience. Judeo-christian history is particularly important to understand for roman -> western european medieval -> renaissance/colonial -> modern day western history. it’s all a continuum and christianity was undeniably a massive influence in how the human story developed!

The Fall of Jerusalem was foretold to the early disciples by Jesus himself. Its as though most had lost their memory. Some were saved because when they saw that the Romans had left they remembered Jesus's warning a fled to the mountains and other towns and cities. Jesus predicted end time in the life of the apostle ..signs to follow before he return not some 2000 years into the future . It was clear and imminent return of Jesus to first century Jews, than Paul to gentiles . About the end of their age .
But nothing has happened as they predicted . They believe Jesus was going to return soon in their lifetime with so much urgency and fear , many proofs they believe the apocalypse was upon them
Crucifixion was a gruesome and extremely painful punishment. The knees were bent and the spikes were driven through the bone of the heel below the ankle. There are some examples found with the spikes still present.
As far as I’ve ever seen, there has only been one heel bone ever found with a spike.

And most crucifixion was not done with the arms outstretched as portrayed through Jesus. They were above the head. The way it is often portrayed is not historically accurate.

Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
