The daily motions a person goes through, chats with friends and colleagues. Walking somewhere. The choices you make. We don't value what we see every day, what we do every day. It becomes routine. But if you take a step back, you're sharing time with others, getting to know those around you better. You're sharing moments with people. You're walking past beautiful architecture, seeing wonderful birds and nature. We take ordinary things for granted, however there's a lot of beauty in ordinary things :)

I love how The Office portrayed normal people living normal lives. More, it celebrated those simple lives. I work in journalism and all we talk about are champions, superstars, criminals. I find it tiring. This show gave a voice to the kind of characters that are only seen in 1/2 scenes in Hollywood productions and showed that they're as interesting, if you actually learn something about their lives and their opinions. This series is unique.
I re-watched the pilot of the series just before watching the last two episodes, and I must say that differences are huge. The first season was completely based on the Office UK and characters were completely different from what they would turn into during the series. It was really strange listening to Kevin speaking normally for example. They are simply two different series with the same characters' names and the same location...
I tried watching the British version. I don’t find it as funny, but credit where it’s due, Ricky Gerivas is hilarious. Sorry if I spelled his name wrong.

Its like... a good high school experience. 4 years of love, loss, friendship..making memories. But then you move on and new people occupy that building and make their own, which has nothing to do with the memories you made. So Pam taking that is like saying, that's my memory. That means the most to me. All the new people working at the office have zero idea about the history of that painting, of the emotional story it told. To them, it's just a random painting on an office wall.
The hold ending of The office was all around emotional and I was building up tears the whole time, but right when this scene happened with the acoustic guitar creed was playing and all the memories that Jim talked about, and then Pam taking the picture down and taking it with her, then I just balled out in tears. This was a great ending

Just finished this series which ended its run 10 years ago. Talk about being late to the party. The whole series and the characters will be with me a long time. I feel like I know them. The finale was perfect in every way. I had only heard of Steve C before watching in 2022 but Jenna , John and Rainne did great work and were perfect in their roles. Such a great show ! I think what will always separate The Office from other great comedies is the intimacy in that we are sharing these moments with these characters and the doc style with no soundtrack creates that. With Friends Seinfeld etc you are told when to laugh and it is feels staged. I do not connect to the actors at all. With the Office they are very real people played by such great actors and writers. And the best part is the ego-less actors are as greatful as the fans for being part of such an iconic show !

You know why the office is such a good show during quarantine? Because it makes us appreciate the little things in life. It makes us want to live our lives and go to work or go to school again, even if we may hate it while it’s happening. And if this truly is ‘The Great Realization’, I couldn’t think of a better way to honour what we take for granted than with the Office. “There’s a lot of beauty in ordinary things” - Pamela Beesly Halpert
There is, though. They use the layers and complexities and growth of the characters to represent reality, and the different stages we go through as we enter through life. The characters all do fun things as a way to get the mundane aspects of the ordinary day, what we all hate. The final quote brings together all the themes of the show: growth, change, acceptance, love, and most of all, happiness. Jim and Pam represent the everyman and every woman. That's why they never become famous or something like that. The show stays grounded in reality in a hopeful American-Dream type fashion, unlike its equally good Office UK counterpart which represents the dark aspects of the everyday work life in a dreary, life is worse than your imagination British-type fashion.
One of the best shows I have ever watched. The emotional rollercoasters, the funny moments, the atrocity of it makes it so much more refreshing. Just as Pam said, the office is like a book that you will never want to end. I'm glad to have been part of The Office family. 11/10

I just finished the show a few minutes ago, and despite I'm totally destroyed and spent most of the episode crying, there could not be a better way to end the series like these. It is the perfect finale, a perfect closure to nine years of emotional, intense, hilarious, and heart-touching stories. The Office is the best show I've ever seen in my life, and nothing is going to be the same after it. It's the best sitcom of all time. In my opinion, perfect in all possible ways.
The only thing I don’t like about this scene is Michael isn’t there. I know Steve Carell didn’t want the last episode’s focus to be on him but he was The Office for the first 7 seasons. He should’ve been there.
I'm just glad he was in the episode at all. I read somewhere the writers thought Michael had moved on with that part of his life and didn't care to do more interviews.
I like that the very last person shown is Michael with Pams voiceover. Even though it’s a flash back, I still love that the last person we see is him. It’s very fitting.
I cried when: jim proposed Jim and Pam got married Pam gives birth Michael proposed Michael left Michael comes back Dwight and Angela got married Erin finds her parents Yeah, every scene
According to many interviews and such afterwards there was a lot of genuine emotion in many of these. A good example is the scene where Jim says bye to Michael. They weren't even supposed to cry during that scene. It just happened, because it was not saying bye to Michael, it was saying bye to Steve Carell as that was the last scene he was in (back then).
The episode when Michael left for Colorado, I thought was one of the most touching, but then I saw the finale for the first time and felt like I said goodbye to family. This show did nothing but create one enormous family, cast members and fans. I felt like I spent a lifetime with everyone
The amount the last episode makes me cry every single time I watch it doesn't compare to any other show or movie. The part where Steve carrel shows up for dwight's wedding and he looks all older and more mature is one of my favorite scenes. The office is truly such a good show, with amazing character development. A lot of people wont understand how good the show is because they just watch it for the funny pranks and scenes but miss the story, growth, and meaning behind most of them. So many people judge the show too early and don't give it a fair try, first time I was watching the office most my family thought the show was dumb, then a couple months later and they all binge watching it. Michael was such a good character in this story, he is someone that is mostly misunderstood by a lot. This show is truly a masterpiece and by far my favorite. The acting so good as well, it really allows you to be immersed in their lives and in the story. Just finished re-watching the office for the 13th time and every time I finish re-watching it I always feel empty, because I know there is no other show or movie out there that will have the same emotional impact on me like the office did. They really know how to make the most amazing moments. The more I watch it the more I love the show and see things I never saw before. That's why they're actors, the pretend emotions, actually they were the ones that told the producers that the show should end before they shot the las two seasons, said by Rainn Wilson himself.

NICKS I LOVE YOU AND THE OFFICE
I love how The Office portrayed normal people living normal lives. More, it celebrated those simple lives.
I work in journalism and all we talk about are champions, superstars, criminals. I find it tiring. This show gave a voice to the kind of characters that are only seen in 1/2 scenes in Hollywood productions and showed that they're as interesting, if you actually learn something about their lives and their opinions. This series is unique.
Normal peoples ?

I'm British and, like all Brits, I was horrified when an American version was announced. The Office US is still to this day my favourite TV comedy.
Bri-ish
I tried watching the British version. I don’t find it as funny, but credit where it’s due, Ricky Gerivas is hilarious. Sorry if I spelled his name wrong.

Idk why but the picture that Michael hung up which Pam drew and Pam taking it off of the wall made me SO devastated
Its like... a good high school experience.

I just finished mine this evening and I cried my eyeballs out I wish it never ended it was the only thing that kept me going through rough days literally.. I went on a loop of recalling most of the scenes and laugh at them again by myself

This is definetly true

@@Piccorenz83 It's because they had worked together for so many years and knew it was the end of the show in real life too
According to many interviews and such afterwards there was a lot of genuine emotion in many of these.

Fortunately my feelings regenerate at twice the speed of a normal man's. PSYCH. I'm hurt.
