It‘s very beautiful😍 but isn‘t the fondant drying out in the resting time so it tears at covering the cake?
Amazing with great instructions! Don't understand why anyone would thumbs down. Haters gonna hate, I guess.

I love this!!! Making a dinosaur birthday cake soon and this is awesome!!!THANK YOU FOR THIS!!
You could do this with green instead of gold to make a reptile cake for a kids bday. Blue fondant and green paint
Good work thank you for sharing your wonderful skills
Great demo. Liz. Love the look of the crackled gold.
Love this idea
Getting that touch is my problem to this project.is there any substitute for that part?Nice job.
Thanks for sharing this awesome technique. What would you recommend for edible glaze if using on a vegan cake please.
Loved this tutorial!! Thank you
Hi. Beautiful work. I have a question. What is confectionery glaze, with what can it be replaced? Thanks
2 Questions please: Do you prep the cake surface before adding the fondant (to make it stick to the cake) AND what about that gold that you used made you choose that over another edible gold? Thanks for sharing your talents with us!
Only buttercream is necessary to make fondant stick to the cake. Just use whatever gold you like :)
Hello, thank you for this vidéo its beautiful !
But i have a question
with what do you mix your dye can have such a metallic effect
Thank you !
( sorry if its not correctly, im french .. )

This is lovely and cute, can I use gold dust only? Without the spray, will it come out nice?
the gold will rub off

Love the cake technique!!! I also noticed your amazing tan. Is it a product I could buy? Or is it true sunshine? I’m to old to lay out 🙂
Great technique, especially for a purse cake.
Exelente, me encanto 🤗
Can I use rose water or clear vanilla extract instead of pme spray
Great video, thanks for sharing ,can't wait to try it for myself.
Очень красивое оформление!
I noticed you used Renshaw fondant instead of LMF. Does the LMF work the same with the crackling method?
I hear people say that they use different brands of fondant. The #1 brand that I hear used is the Carma Massa Ticcino fondant. But, that is ridiculously expensive for a home baker. The next one that I hear is good is Fondarific. Here you are using Renshaw, which I've seen a lot of bakers from the UK use. If Renshaw is your preference, could you tell me why? I'm trying to learn the better brands. Thanks!
I use Renshaw USA because it tastes and acts just like my homemade LMF except I didn't have to make it. It's a good price too.
Gorgeous!
Wow I love it
Any substitute for the confectioner galze? 😊
This is so amazing!!
Hi my sweet, will this work on black marshmallow fondant ? Heather
Love it!!! Thanks
This is lovely!
Ooouuu I wanna try this nice job and thanks for sharing.
Can you also make a video on how to make the fondant
I'd love to try this with gold leaf.
Hi Liz - I’m probably biting more than I can chew- but can this be done on a 10” square cake? I wanted to use it on one of the wedding cake tiers...
I've been reading/seeing a lot lately about a chocolate product that tastes better but is every bit as malleable and workable as fondant. Will this crackle technique work on that as well?
Hello. One question: what is the brand of gold colour? Thanks
thank you i appreciate
Hola, q es lo q le agregas antes del tinte dorado?
Cuanto tiempo debo esperar para estirar la masa despues de pintar la masa de dorado y....q hago con la masa q sobra, lo amaso y lo vuelvo a craquelar?
Muchas gracias
Awesome technique!!!! 😊💜💜
Hello, I would like to know what you apply after the flame and before the edible gold painting, I saw that you passed it to a small cup and applied it with the brush immediately applied the golden paint and that made the dough hard .
Thank you for sharing that was awesome I really enjoyed the video!!
You are great 👍
this is pretty, but when she pulled out that torch, i knew my time was done for this video. lol
Hhhhhhhh I still watch it till the end 😂
