    2024 and I'm still coming back to watch this. What an amazing time; I really hope the eventual dbfz2 has a Go1 vs. Sonic level storyline.

    People really thought that a seat change made such a big difference I mean it did change the momentum of their matches but it still ended up being a good match so whether you’re a sonic fox fan or a GOI1 fan it was still an interesting and amazing match

      If switching sides is that big if a difference then they need to accept that GO1 only won those first 3 rounds bc of it

      More like the staff took a long time relaying the message and making a decision could’ve been quick with a fast switch or instant coin flip but it is what it is

    I didnt like how sonic switched the game in between, this might be legal but still i think that was a lame thing to do simply because u were losing, its in USA so obviously they favoured him

      The issue doesn't lie with Sonic Fox in this case though. Its completely on the shoulders of the inept EVO Staff and Judges who bumbled the entire thing. A simple side switch comes down to 2 simple steps: 1)Calling for a judge, explaining what you want, 2)having the judge make a decision as to the legality of it. Then they RELAY these 2 things to the translator who explains A) what Sonic is asking for, and B) the judges decision. Then they flip a coin or Rock Paper Scissors or whatever the hell and the winner gets to choose their side.
      But look how out of hand it gets from something that should be so simple and clean! Just look at what the hell actually happened up their on that stage! Beyond the 2 players we got a judge, a translator, some random dude and then for whatever reason Tom or Tony Cannon comes up and then they start talking and then some random 5th guy in a white shirt comes up and then he gets involved.......How many people does it take to screw in a light bulb? Apparently FAR LESS than it does to get a simple side switch called at EVO....SMH

      Doesn’t really matter on what people like or dislike or if it’s lame as no one would have a problem if GO1 won and Sonic won so doing it while losing was okay and helped him even if it was a mental wake up call there was no favoring it came to a Coin Flip and the first match after the switch was close but GO1 lost it if you are good enough to get to the Grand Finals then you should win it and if it’s legal then no complaints are valid knowing anyone can do the same thing

    Sonic fox using dirty tricks to cool down GO1

    • @humbledpanda2997

      Dirty tricks? It's a rule for a reason. New set, sides can be switched. I'm a competition, you want every advantage you can get. Idiot.

      you know, i used to think this, but then watching it again after all these years and seeing that right after the side switch Go1 was STILL dominating Fox and got killed due to a unfortunate error....I don't think it was a "dirty trick" at all. This was actually legit.

      @@jii-el idk many I think it’s an old stalling trick. They do this shit in most sports to cool the momentum. And u can tell Go1 was not happy bout it in his face. But still a legendary set

    • @jii-el
      @jii-el 5 місяців тому +3

      @@__MoiMoa__ in the case of this, it didn't really seem to make a difference. The stalling seemed to be EVO's fault since they didn't know what to do, but in the actual fight it seems to have made no difference when they got back in. He looks just as warm as he was when he beat fo the first time, just made a bad error at the end.

      @@jii-el EVO 2015, Marvel vs Capcom 3 Winners Finals or Grand-finals: Apology Man vs Kane Blue River. This very thing happened. Kane wanted to make sure he got the player 1 side (as Apology Mans team benefited from having its set ups come from the p1 side during starting position upon round start) and called for side positioning from a judge. They flipped a coin, Kane won and then went on to win the set because of it. This took all of TWO MINUTES. Only a judge was involved and they needed to get a coin. You'd think the people running EVO would keep track of these things. But in this set they completely flub the entire thing. Just sit around like a couple of mooks with blank stares on their faces. GO1 cooled or not did not seem to appreciate what was going on but I don't put the blame on Fox, i lay it at the feet of the EVO event runners and judges on that day. They've shown in the past a la Kane Blue River that they know EXACTLY how these things should be handled and they fumbled HARD.
