The first 10 matches were definitely some of best dbfz action we’ve seen and was totally looking like we’re going the distance, but then go1 adjusted to sonic’s mixups and sonic does not have an answer.
GO1 definitely has the better team. Way better options to open you up. If you have Gohan with 2 lock down assists. you pretty much are guaranteed to open people up. When you get 5+ chances in every block string to mix... well, there's only so many times you can guess right.
What helped GO1 is that he’s super comfortable with all of his characters no matter the order, just like SonicFox. A lot of Vegeta players mainly keep him in the back for assist purposes, but he has no problem bringing him in and using him like a point character if need be.

Gohan is hella strong yeah, but thats definitely not the only reason, especially not when Fox has incredibly strong characters himself 16, Black, and Hit, so you can’t really say its just cause of Gohan. He was doing just fine with Vegeta and cell too. Sonic has fought tons of people, but he’s never fought someone this good who displays excellent usage of all three of his characters, and halfway through, Goichi was already in Fox’s head, you can see him trying to cover up being visibly frustrated. gia I play FPS and MOBA competitively, the games don't require you to study the ins and outs of the game like how fighting games require you to "lab" for 500 hours before you can play online. In FPS and MOBA, you get better as you play. 95% of gamers find "labbing" boring and drop the game.
thats only a detail if you want to enter online with an advantage already, you can join online on a newly released fighting game and do fine since theres a lot of noobs (noobs dont quit as easily on an fps or moba), the problem is after all the noobs left you can only compete with people above your skill level and you are forced to lab or quit, since fps and mobas keep more varied skill levels they can do matchmaking and let you progress at the speed you learn the game before we diverge into miscommunication, I agree fighting games are harder for the masses (newbies), i only added that fighting games are not harder in general (at the top, all are hard)

Nah, to break grabs in a 2D game you have to recognize situations where they're doable, which can make it easier to react, same with ChrisG (who I think has never got hit by DR offline). There's only very few situations where you can get hit by DR in this game as opposed to other games or Marvel where 0f grab will mess you up so you gotta up your defense.

SonicFox might have stood a very slightly better chance if he had continued to wear the hat. The hat is Ultra Instinct. He got arrogant and was fighting in base form against GO1 AKA Jiren.
Vegeta got so much leverage with just dragon punch (DP), but the combos outside of that were still really strong too. Maybe I don't trust tier lists for this game now.
i believe vegeta is top tier. Best assists, solid normals. he also got a invincible dp. I can't believe in a game like this where offense is very strong, not every character has invincible dps to get off pressure if guessed right.
Establishing tier lists for 1v1 fighters is already hard (unless the game is extremely broken), but for 3v3 where team dynamics come into play, it is much, much harder. It'll take quite some time before any good tier list will emerge. And even then, they're based on a certain meta. I'm gonna stop here before I type up an essay about it :)

It was definitely a set with much to learn for everyone, and even if one were to not even know either player, just looking at demographical backgrounds, these players are from completely different regions! I knew GO1 was gonna win. Being able to play with great players like Fenrich and Dogura despite to this game being new but having knowledge from those 2 who have all played anime style type games like this through the years really gives him an edge.His knowledge on players especially in Japan is massive so his adaptation here is just so damn impressive.It’s also more impressive because Japan got the game late. I have no doubt GO1 will beat him at the actual tournament.

I knew GO1 was gonna win. Being able to play with great players like Fenrich and Dogura despite to this game being new but having knowledge from those 2 who have all played anime style type games like this through the years really gives him an edge.His knowledge on players especially in Japan is massive so his adaptation here is just so damn impressive.It’s also more impressive because Japan got the game late. I have no doubt GO1 will beat him at the actual tournament.

Damn. I love SonicFox, but he got put in the spin cycle as time went further by. Wow. GO1's Gohan is Top Notch as well, too. It's saying something when SF's A16 and Hit mixup advantages are neutralized. Props to both of these guys for putting on a great show as well here and in the grand finals. I look forward to the next installment, because this was thoroughly enjoyable. I love Yipes as a commentator as well, not just because I'm a huge basketball junkie. Also, a footnote, the comments section on this video is totally fucking cancerous. Holy Fuck, dawg.
