- Hello there! This week is part two of my texture generators series.
I will show you how I use the Chase Bliss Mood, that is one of my favorite tool for ambient jams. Made in collaboration with Drolo and Old Blood Noise Endeavors, this pedal is amazing in creating unexpected sounds.

I’m pretty sure (I rarely do this) that if you run your drolo side into the old blood side, when you switch drolo algorithms it will record the feedback from the old blood side so you can actually pass them back and forth :) great video thanks!

Great tip on recording higher quality and dropping down! I too don't fully understand it, but I like turning knobs and finding weird sounds and loops.

Hey.. have you heard the news?..A Mood MK2 is being released!!.And one of it's features is when you switch between loop modes it doesn't stop the loop!..Also it's stereo,plus loads of improvements and changes,as well as classic mode... hope you will do a demo..

Amazing pedal that i use all the time. My main complain is that i can't control level of both channels separately ;)

Great video! Considering picking up a MOOD soon. What kind of cable are you using you connect OP1 to MOOD? And is it going straight into an interface/mixer from the MOOD?
im using a mono to stereo for mood-op1, then directly in interface
Great video, thanks! Whilst in Tape mode, when you let it repeat without changing anything, does the loop accumulate some noise and dirtiness? Almost like the loop is degrading.
not sure about that. blooper has that function, i think mood only slowly fades the volume
I get frustrated about mono and the complicated approach to midi but I then I play with it cannot stay mad - amazing device ❤️ don’t have Rooms but will take your reverb suggestion and will try with my Mercury7 :)

Very informative videos thanks. Which is your favourite between Chase Bliss Mood vs Microcosm Hologram? I watch both videos, and at the end of Part 2 I heard you say you prefer Hologram for Techno and Mood for Ambient, right? Which one would you recommend as a first step? I have been considering both pedals and am more interested in Ambient as opposed to Techno.
hard to say: mood is instant gratification and easier to use, but way more limited. The hologram really depends on the audio is working on, but offer lot of more possibilities. I started with Mood anyway.

I'm kind of new to the pedal world..
I'm looking for an effect pedal to use with my *digital piano* and hopefully future Synth, right now mainly with Piano and Rhodes sounds.
I want to have unique expression.
I (aspire to) play mostly Jazz, funk, fusion stuff like Vulfpeck, Cory Wong, Scary Pockets and DOMi & JD Beck.
This will also be my first effect pedal/s I buy.
Budget around 250$ but I can stretch a little.
Any specific recommendations?

I usually recommend delay/reverb for firs pedal. I think strymon El Capistan covers a lot of ground.
@@OoraMusic oh I see, Strymon El Capistan looking great! I'll look more into it. also, I'm interested in a very good "Harmony Effect pedal/gear.."
I'll be using with a keyboard so I imagine stereo is the way to go here.

Thanks for the nice overview. Honestly though I wonder how much range this pedal has. Every video I see of it sounds pretty much exactly the same. Nice none the less I guess.
It has definitely a precise MOOD, no pun intended. I love it a lot tho
All of the demos don't really do this pedal Justice to be honest you really just need to experience it for yourself and get creative trust me or don't I don't care I own one I'm super happy with it

Can you suggest me on a pedal which does FILTER the best? Or can be a pedal with other effects but more focus on change the filtering? Thanks

Can you compare this to Microcosm? Pros cons
Pros: more straightforward, it can create unique soundscapes, perfect for drones. Cons: mono, less versatile.
How do you stop the loop on the Mood?

i use a trs to ts cable, not ideal but works!
