Hi Steve, Can you have the Classic look as well as display the numeric digital speed you are travelling in middle between the 2 circular gauges of the speed and the tacho ? That was something you could do with the older models.
I haven't found a way to be able to do that. I remember the last gen had a little digital speed option in the middle but it looks like Hyundai has gotten rid of that option for the 2024 models. I'd actually recommend reaching out to Hyundai corporate and tell them it's a feature you want to see back again
Hi Steve! Great video to watch! I am just wondering why i can't connect wireless carplay on my 2024 Kona N Line Ultimate Canada version. Do i have to update or download it from their website?
Thanks! This might be mildly infuriating.. but the screens that have factory navigation don't support wireless CarPlay or Android Auto. There's no way to enable it either.. so you only have the option for a wired connection
When you're on the Audio page, try pressing the little hamburger icon on the lower left of the tray. It's the 3rd button from the left to see if there's a re-order option. There's no way to set that page to be the default
Hi Steve. I just purchased a 2024 Hyundai kona essential. I can not change the look of my gauges. Is this model incapable of changing? I am not a fan of what is displayed. I prefer the classic look but I am not sure if this is a feature with this model.
Hello, i own 2024 Kona N Line, but both my iPhones 13 and 14 plus working with Apple car play via adapter usb c to usb. If I disconnect the phone from adapter… no apple car play.i start to update my information software from Hyundai but no luck… how did you made your iPhone 14 Pro working in wireless mode with Kona 2024? Thanks. Isaac
Just realized I didn't point it out in the videos the way I normally would. In most Hyundai vehicles with factory navigation it's only wired Android auto and Apple CarPlay. The US N-Line would be wired, while the Canadian N-Line is wireless, unless you have the Ultimate Package
That'll do it.. The screens with nav don't have the underlying tech to support wireless CarPlay/Android Auto so it's not just a software update. I've heard some mixed reasons with one being privacy with factory navigation and shared info with CarPlay/Android Auto but no firm reason from Hyundai directly just yet
bringing this back up.. the models with nav actually do support wireless now via an update to the kona’s software. google “hyundai kona limited wireless carplay” and you’ll see some articles about it being added in a software updated. i also just test drove a 2024 kona limited & it had wireless carplay
Odd that it's doing that.. First thing to try would be a screen reset. If you look to the top right side of the volume rocker (top left of the home button) just under the screen there's a little pin hole. Inset a paperclip and hold for 5-10 seconds to reboot the screen. Other option is turn on Radio/Media Off at Vehicle Startup under Settings --> General --> Media Options
Simply outstanding video! You sold me on the Kona
Thanks Michael! What build do you think you go for in a Kona?
Limited AWD for the camera blind spot feature
Great choice, you'll love all of the tech!

Hi steve,do you whats the 8 digit engineering mode code for the 2022 hyundai tucson se? Thanks.
Unsure of that one.. the codes change based on the update you're on, country you're in etc
Is there a way to sort the favorites list? Also, is there a way to make the default "favorites" instead of "FM"?

I bought 2024 kona and it has wireless apple carplay and also have inbuilt navigation in greece and i brought the distinctive one
Nice! It's great that Hyundai is finally introducing wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in screens that have factory navigation

I don't believe the Essential trim level has a customizable cluster

Hi every time I turn on my car the news channel comes on not the radio how can I change it to the music to come on when I start my kona n line.
Is it SiriusXM news that comes on or a random radio station?
Cant get wireless android auto work. Only plugged in on our brand new 2024 Kona. What am i missing? Please help.
Does your Kona have factory navigation? The screens with nav don't have wireless support..
@@CarsWithSteve yes it does have nav. why would they do that? Doesn't make sense. Is there an update that will address this?

@@CarsWithSteve dang that’s big. Thank you for the explanation! Thought I was going crazy.
Haha nope.. I get that question all the time from Hyundai and Kia owners!
I have the USA version and can’t set my iPhone to wireless carplay.

@CarsWithSteve this is bad , what is the purpose of paying extra money to hyundai for higher trim ? 😮 so no software update will fix that?
Sirius news comes on
