- We went on a little day trip from Frankfurt to Heidelberg. It was our first time in the city. We tried to explore as much as we could on this hot summer day, but we definitely would love to come back later to see more.

I'm going to Germany next week and have the Heidelberg castle on my list to visit. Just to clarify, you walked from the main Heidelberg train station to the castle? I'm taking public transit from a different city and wasn't sure if the castle was attainable on public transit. Your video gives me reassurance that I can do it! THANK YOU!
Hi! We took the tram from the train station to Bismarckplatz and walked from that area :) It was really hot so we went up to the castle with the Bergbahn but walked down after. Hope you have a nice trip with lovely weather 😉

Thank you! :) We didn't stay for a full day and were able to visit almost all the places we saved on our map. I would say Heidelberg is perfect for a day trip ☺
