Frankfurt is a really nice city for you to explore and learn about the German culture. Also, it has great places around like the Black Forest and Heidelberg. I highly suggest that you spend two days in the city and take couple day trips.

You would need to stay in the area around Schonach im Schwarzward. A little outside of it has a good number of the shops
