This sounds like an actual full game releasing with a full suite of modes, not some half finished thing that gets the rest of its features in 6 months time, once the player base has left.

@@jonableek9452 Honestly, you do you. If you want it go ahead. Me too for example. I will pre-order. I know the risk but I love the game from the get-go. It's just not recommended to pre-order any game these days. Better be safe than sorry ya know? This game is an exception for me.

If any setting is fit for a Battlefield-style, all-in, combined arms experience, it is this one. It boggles the mind that it hasn't been done already; VTOLs, tanks, Guard Trooper "pets", snipers, heavy emplacements, Titans looming over the battlefield, destructible environments, truly chaotic fighting. It would be like printing money.

Games workshop is very stingy with their license only in the past few years have they started letting publishers use it
Check out "Eternal Crusade" and see how that waa miss management
lot of money to build a game like that and if it flops you just burned at least 100 million dollars, layoffs ensue
40k fps I don't see flopping. Eternal crusade didn't flop because people weren't interested but it was broken,barely even half finished,received no updates,and just straight up got left to die. Dice has made 2 battlefront games and neither flopped and the first lacked content but still sold millions because it was a good damn game.

I see a Dreadnaught. If we'll get control of a Dreadnaught at some point... praise the Emperor, it will be GLORIOUS!! I still can't really actually believe this game is coming out in September, after all these years. And the fact that it's entwined with the current happenings of 40k and the 4th Tyrannical War is just awesome.

If you told the 10-15 year old me I'd get to control a dreadnaught in a next gen 3D simulation... I would never have slept again.
The first spacemarine game lets you control the dreadnaught in PVP mode by the way.
If we're still controlling Titus, it's a bit of a spoiler for how the story goes.

Been a Warhammer nerd since 2007 highly recommend getting into it it's just absolutely fun and has something for everyone quiet literally!
Do you usually just fight against bugs I could’ve sworn I saw gameplay for SPACEMARINE 1 fighting other humaninoid enemies shooting at you and stuff

The faction most people will start with is the Imperium of Man, this faction is a collection of all humans and Space Marines who believe in the God-Emporor of Mankind, though not all Space Marines are religious.
Then there are the main "bad guy " the forces of chaos. These forces of chaos worsip 4 gods, these gods are Khorn (the god of warfare, mostly melee), Tzeentch (the god of trickery and scheeming), Slaneesh (the god of excess) and Nurgle (the god of Pestilence and Disease).
They are the guys who are mostly refeered to as heretics.
Then there are an aray of alien species.
The orks, living fungus that only want war.
Eldar, elves in space.
The T'au, mecha anime with blue humanoids.
The tyranids, a hyvemind that only wants to consume bio-mass.

Zergs were roughly based on tyranids, and then gamesworkshop took inspiration from them back as well. So they both helped eachother become as cool as they are pretty bad ass. Love unending alien menaces built from the dead bio- matter of fallen comrades and enemies alike

Starcraft was originally conceived as a 40k game. The Terrans, the Protoss and the Zerg are just rebranded Ultramarines, Eldar and Tyranids.
While the Orcs, Chaos and Necrons went to DOTA.

It's funny to hear the "kind of like the new Doom games" comparison for the Execution mechanic. When I first played DOOM 2016 back then, my first thought performing the new Glory Kills was "hey, it's just like Space Marine".

@@jmgonzales7701 at 30 fps yes. but we want smooth 60 fps which means you needs a beefy computer build but nothing extreme unless you got extra cash lying around. honestly a 3060 ti should be enough for 1080p 60 fps with massive swarms of 'nids.

space marine 1 pvp was some of the most fun ive had in multiplayer, can not wait for this

I saw a playtest of this game at a convention and it looks insanely good, the line to play was like 1-2 hours long
I’ve never played any 40k game but this looks insane , I think it’s gonna bring a ton of people into the lore , and man what a world it looks like

"Swarm Tech" reminds me of Serious Sam's horde system that Croteam also developed in-house to allow for so many enemies to be on screen without tanking framerate. Wish more FPS games would go the horde level amounts of enemies instead of a handful enemies. Multiplayer Marines look sick, love it! Best choice was adding co-op, need more games with co-op.
I can't help but want this type of game for all the Races in Warhammer, not just the Space Marines, that be epic though, Necrons, Tau, Eldar, Chaos Marines/Eldar, Orcs, Tyranids... all of them.

As a massive Warhammer fan and collector of the models in my youth, I've been begging for a game which does it justice, almost my whole life! There have been some decent attempts but nothing which scratches the itch...
So if this turns out to be like a next-gen version of Helldivers on crack I'll be pumped.
There is so much scope for sequals and updates with Orks, Eldar, Chaos etc so hopefully they can finally nail it. God willing...
BTW, I know this is a campaign-based linear co-op game, so not exactly like Helldivers... But you get my point!
The only thing that would kill this for me is if they have any live service crap. Hopefully the full game will be available at release.

As someone who has very little knowledge and exposure to the Warhammer brand, this game looks awesome! I'm actually tempted to get this game when it comes out. Thing is, do I need to know what happened in the first game?
I imagine the game will probably catch you up on events from the first game, considering that game came out 13 years ago and was a much smaller release than the sequel is shaping up to be. However, if you feel like playing a relatively short action game and don't mind dated graphics, then Space Marine 1 is still fun.

This game sounds like a gamers wet dream, pvp, pve, solo campaign you can play with friends, on all major three platforms and devs that are taking time to make sure the game is up to their standards. I'm so excited.

This Swarm Engine looks insane, for it to be able to render all these enemies at once "without dropping visual fidelity" is a must see. I hope it plays as good as it looks. 🙏🏼

I been hyped for this, Space marine was a great game so next gen Space marines is a win, i love the lore and i was huge on Space hulk , and blood bowl table top games in my youth . customisation looks great , the gameplay looks great , co op and MP as well . Keep up the awesome content Jack.

I think something im missing out on is on inertia. Space marines are heavy heavy and seeing them just stop in a hearbeat doesnt transfer me the absolute units they are.
Imagine a WWZ 2 from these guys..

If i remember correctly the SWARM Engine was first build for the Starship Troopers game (2005). At least it uses the SWARM Engine. Give some kudos to strangelite for building this incredible tech, we never seen so many enemies on screen as in ST (2005) before. at least not in that detail.
Gears of War E-day have nothing on Space Marine 2, imma just say, this will be so much better in every way. I'm sure Gears will be cool as well.

Ultramarines are one single chapter of the Space Marines, they aren't synonyms. i.e - all Ultramarines are Space Marines, most space marines are not ultramarines
