Hello, Kit! 👋 I really enjoy watching you prune your trees. I learn so much!😃
I have a question for ya...I have a peach tree in a really large pot. I grew it from seed about 7 years ago now.
The pot is huge and I don't wish to up-pot it again. Can I take the tree out of the pot, root prune it and put it back in tbe same pot? If it's okay to do this method when should I do so? Im in zone 8b or 9a Central Texas.
    Thanks!😃

Hi Valorie, I don’t know much about peach trees but it should be fine to do in the winter.
      Thank you for watching 😊🌳🌱

Thanks for sharing! For the third and fourth trees you presented, I would think about cutting more drastically, like 2-3 inches from the soil level. And then picking a new leader out of all the new shoots that will develop. That way the new growth will go exclusively towards trunk thickening rather than also supporting branch thickening higher up.. Then repeat in a couple years, but higher up. What are your thoughts on this?

Probably a good idea, I think I will go lower but not quite that low. Thanks for watching and commenting mate.
      All the best
