The maker community has led up to this stellar moment, Joe playing with his wood for his subscribers.
Heck. Yes.
I personally avoid using T nuts if possible. Glad you were able to knock these into the MDF without breaking the MDF. The T nuts go into wood much easier than MDF. By the way, you could have used the CNC to machine hex holes for regular nuts. I prefer to use regular nuts than T nuts. I use these in jigs so only one or two at a time. I drill a hole then use hand chisel to make the hex corners.
MDF dulls cutters FAST. The speed of the spindle creates a lot of heat when cutting which helps to dull the cutter, but the resin creates a lot of wear.
If I have to machine MDF, I use my milling machine at 500 - 700 rpm. A lot less heat so the cutters last longer.
I am jealous of the space you have for the new workshop. Looks very nice.
Dave.
'Badger Naked Maceroni'. It's the only possible option...
May your tools stay sharp and your shop forever be that clean! Cant wait to see whats next
Really looking forward to your projects man! This will be awesome!
HI, I guess: "Built in Malta" for the new channel's name. Keep up your great work. Thanks JC...
Great stuff! Can't wait for what's to come, just don't stop 3d printing
"Build n Make" I hope you are not too particular about punctuation, but that is my guess too.
Nah, as long as that’s the jist of it :)
Happy to see you branching out a bit outside of just 3d printing can wait to see more of you projects.
Loving this! But already subbed and belled ! Good luck and keep it up
Great video Joe! Love the new name, it's catchy!
thx for this and yes subscribed, your info is is great
Cool new channel Joe, I'll sub and like, I've moved to this scene since 3d printing too. Shopping for my second machine now, looking at that Workbee for sure, looks like a monster
Very interesting video, I am intrigued by the router not being vertical. Could you please tell me the name of the tool that held the dial gauge?
Was you actually trying to bend the frame with the clamps to get it level?
My guess is "built and make". Looking forward for more content from you and best wishes for your business.
very nice progress Joe, really looking forward to seeing all the new projects you have in mind! the workbench looks excellent. amazing how many useful tools and functions you've tucked into it, none blocking eachother and 100% of the surface remains usable! seriously cool. i'd think about giving it a hardwearing and non grippy surface though, if thats MDF or even HDF as it seems, it wont stay nice for long. you might be thinking of some kind of epoxy lacquer but i think the most cost effective option would be 1mm galvanised steel. you can snip it by hand and hammer it over the edges, and its actually probably cheaper and less work than a suitable paint finish.
anyway my guess at the channel name is 'build 'n' make'!
Can't wait to see all the great projects. I am very close to go on a shopping spree. Lol. My guess is Build and Make
Thank you very much for sharing, I love your workshop !! You have earned a subscriber !!
;)
I am very sorry for my English as a translator.
Good luck in your next videos.
Greetings.
Thanks for the great video. Your y-axis moves very silently, any tips on fixing clicking and groaning noises from the y-carriages?
Love the new bench!
Nice setup I have just finished building a X1.2m Y 1.5m and Z 300mm
I use Mach3 board and just purchased the V carve vectric desktop software
Curios to know what kind of cad cam software you are using
I know this video was a long time ago, however, how many t nuts did you need for your spoil board and what size please. Many thanks
If you value your hearing you will upgrade to a 2.2 water cooled router. Its 65db versus 94db for the Dewalt.
My guess - "Builders and Makers".
Love your new setup btw!
Which motor does it use normal Nema 23 2.8 amps
Nice machine! Ooznest rocks!
Looks like BnM will be the new name, Build N Make.
I know im late here, but you should look at T-tracks and cut MDF to width to go in between. Makes it easier if you need to replace the MDF boards
Going with “build n make” or “break and make”
Good to see that you upgraded the fence on that tablesaw, would like to know what one you got and how it performs as I have the same tablesaw.
Dude... Next time I am at Malta I have to pay you a visit.... Great videos...
Looking forward to you building and making more things with your CNC. Hey, that might be a good name for a channel.
have you experienced any issues with the long lead screws? i read people have issues with cnc machines that uses lead screws over 1,000mm in length. maybe some flexing?
Bake'n'Make! I look forward to some great cakes in the upcoming videos.
that workbench looks SO NICE
Nice video 👍👍
Wishes sofware ?? With cnc workbee ?
Clearly new channel name is Benadryl and Milk
Booze and munchies?
@@3DMakerNoob Boobies n' Movies?
Build’n’Make I guess :). Good job Joe
i will just say break n make
also those benches are awesom :D
Which motor does it use
This is perfect timing! Mine came yesterday, and though it's OpenBuilds brand, it's the same machine! Care to share that bit and dial holder STL? Gonna be real useful for tramming!
really good video, I will be purchasing a CNC soon - What software do you use please
New logo, damn it I need a new key ring from you :D
You may want to make a 1/4" sheet for the underside of the cnc 3/4" The insert nuts you used tend to loosen with time and vibration. I do love the cnc though.
I am thinking about getting one of these and so your Oozenest videos are great, thanks. Any chance of showing the Duet software in action please?
Yes definitely will
Love this video! Considering buying one of these machines. What router is that you bought?
It’s a dewalt D26200 :)
New name, my guess "Build iN Malta" and nice logo :)
i know you made this video 2 years ago but im really interested to know how you fastened your wasteboard to your frame. I had a hell of a time with mine. It seemed like I would get a bunch of the t nuts seated into the aluminum extrusion but there was always one or two that I couldnt get in that tiny little groove, so I would have to lift the entire board up and start from scratch over and over and over again. It took me the better part of an entire day to get all of the t nuts secured. How many T nuts do you have holding your wasteboard down? Did you do 3 rows of them? Did you have as much issues as i did or are you smarter and more dextrous than i am? ^Thanks for your videos, I really enjoy watching them.
Bacon n Meat
Great video. Hey, I noticed you have a man door cut into your garage door (I have never seen this), can you provide any info on this, did the man door come built into the garage door, or is that something you added? Thanks
That was pre-made like that, specifically ordered it that way so I don’t have to constantly open and close the garage door. Also comes in very handy if the electricity goes out
@@3DMakerNoob OK, who is the door manufacturer who offered such a garage door? I am in TX USA and have never seen that kind of option. Thanks
It’s a local company here in Malta. Fgp.com.mt
So many people have already mention the more likely.
Built n Malta
Build n Make
Maybe Bake n Make ? Lol
Brake n Make - you know it has happen to the best of us.
Either way, I just want to say keep up the great work. We love ya.
New channel is clearly Maker Noob.
Hi just buy mine , what's the size on the table great video thank's
Can it cut 16 gauge steel sheet?
awesome
Hey Joe - a down cut bit might get you better results with the milling on MDF. 0.02.
is it build n mount
Bob the builder? Whatever it is I'm sure it's going to be awesome dude
Based on the hints; I also guess: "Build and make" (I am just confused: Make is not as adjective).
I'm going with "Build and Make" (B'n'M) for the new Channel name :)
Really looking forward to the videos coming up, since I'm also finally getting a dedicated workshop, once we move into our house :)
Hi Jo, I'm planning on buying an Ooznest CNC, and wondered if you use Fusion360 for the more complex jobs. Do you know what machine you select in setup? Just a generic 3-axis machine seems about right. I'm guessing there are no specific setup files it needs beyond the post processor? Great channel by the way, incidentally I visited Mosta from the UK this summer. We love Malta, have been several times. Had no Idea I was literally around the corner from you LOL. Regards W.
Tbh I prefer nescafe gold over other types of coffee. Workspace is looking nice, but please do a couple of layers of paint or clear coat on those surfaces.
why using stinky MDF boards if birch multiplex is available?
I have segmented my lostboard for my CNC in 6 peaces, so if the damage gets bigger i have to change (only) the most bad one.
This is to you have now a big printer ... but most parts will be small parts. So one of the segmented lostbord parts you have to change earlier then the others
Build n Make. Regardless, of the name, I'm looking forward to the expanded content.
May I make a small correction? Thoseare commonly known as blind nuts. T nuts slide in aluminum extruded bed plate. Enjoy your new acquisition!
Can you run an indicator with this machine?
Hi! I would say it is "Build n' Make". And no matter the name, I will be here :D
Also... how do we find your discord?
Great video, got my workbee in boxes waiting to be built! Your cnc table plans and ideal and ill be using them this week to build mine, although a bit smaller as I have the 1000x1000 workbee. Any idea when you will have the plans released for your workbench with table saw etc? And any videos of the build of that? I basically want your workshop! Ha. Thanks
Haha, the bench is a work in progress but I’ll release them soon. :)
@@3DMakerNoob brilliant. Looking forward to that 👍🏻
@@3DMakerNoob hey, where i can take a look on table and bench plans?
Building and Making would be my guess
Hmm... I guess "Building and Making" or keeping the 'n as it is... Still, you could name it however you like, I'll follow you until you're fed up, m'boi. Funny enough, I'm also expanding my horizon to woodworking (since a while actually, but now I'm about to get my first router, so...) Cheers!
my guess, B'n'M will be the new channel, Build in Malta. Awsome job you do, i realy like the video's, thank you
Build 'N' Malta would be my guess...
Nice machine...i prefer the bulkman 3d queenbee pro 1515..its awesome...and much less priced.
Build' n make!
build n make!
Build n Make, Build and Make. Take your pick.
There’s no Ikea in Malta? They use those nuts in loads of the furniture, and have spareparts too.
Builders 'n' Makers
Build and Make, indeed.
The EMF is a VFD problem, you can’t have that issue with a router
Hi, how is your long time experience with the machine? Is it still worth buying? Does someone in the community have experiences with Oosnest too? Thanks a lot :)
I think everyone is going for build n make now 😀
I can recomend the router bits of Amanda tools the are so good and if you not already buy the vectric program. Thanks for the content
Purchase vcarve pro and just ordered a set of Amana tools :)
@@3DMakerNoob nice! They have a sheed whatkind of rpm and chip load to use. You should not run the dewald above lvl 3 10000 rpm should be enough. That can be the reason that the bit burned
That would make a lot of sense, I was running it at around 5. Still lots to learn. I also wanted amana as they have tool files for vcarve:) thanks for the tip, I’ll need those hehe
What software are you using with the Work B?
Vcarve Pro
That was a quick reply thanks, no idea what that means but for someone with lots of manual routers and FDM experience you have inspired me to look further, is the software the one sold with the Work B? I can cope with some of the base price but it sure adds up with all the bits!
There are other options for software which are free. Vcarve pro is quite expensive but since I have a large machine and needed certain features it was worth the purchase. Look up easel from inventables which is quite good
You are not making it easy to look away. I will have to refer to you in the divorce settlements after spending a couple of grand on this, keep up the good work best Boothy
Have you tried using Fusion 360 with this? Also what sort of extraction system are you using or intend to use?
Brake'n'Make i would guess ;)
Build’n’Malta
Built in Malata 😀
I guess it’s Build‘n‘Make then 🤔
Building and Makable
Build and Make?
Builder 'n Maker
As soon as you put the dust boot on that weak gimpy z axis you throw out the tram. C-beam is to flimsy and flexes
And you said that I can come to Malta and hang around with you for half a year, a year? Hmmm... I'll think about it.
Build 'n' Make (I know it doesn't fit with the hint you gave last video, verb, something, adjective, but I'm out of ideas, I will concur with the rest of the guys here)
Or build in Malta that’s a good one
Built ‘n’ Malta
Break It n Make It ?
Build it now in Malta?
Build it noob in Malta?
Build and Make!
Break N Make LOL
