I'm 62. In 2019 at an end of school year barbeque, I beat the fastest middle school student in a race from one soccer field goalpost to the other and back. I run and maintain heavy equipment that I own. I fall trees, skid them to my sawmill, load them and mill them solo. I cut, split and stack 8 chords of wood every year (for the past 42 years). I dance at the campfire 3-4 nights each week, 52 weeks a year even in -10F with four feet of snow on the ground. Stay engaged in life, charge at it full speed. Keep thick callouses on your hands year round. Wear out your work clothes, shred them. If you aren't growling several times a day from lifting something heavy, you aren't working hard enough. Our bodies thrive on use and a little abuse. They wither and atrophy without it.
I am right behind you brother. I am 58 and financially independent and free of debt, however; I still work like a laborer because I believe in hard work till the day I die. I eat correctly, lift weights and have a sane lifestyle. I still drive my 22 year old truck when I can easily afford a cybertruck.

WOW, this fellow really inspired me at 60 I want to show my son he's 15 and full of energy from working out. I am so proud of him. Fast exercise and eat right to get back on track.
In my 40's I realized that waiting for the doctors to "FIX" me, was a 'Losers' approach. Please do what you can to keep yourself in Good Spirits, and Good Fitness. It's TOTALLY Your responsibility. 8• )
I’m almost 65 working out is the hi light of my day the feeling after every workout is amazing and never ever think about age it is all in your mind if you think you can you will if you think you can’t then guess what you can’t very simple just visualize yourself doing it and believe it feel it and take action go through pain your body depletes a hormone that kills pain within 5 minutes you will feel warmed up to get going Blessings to all

I just turned 51 a few days ago. I am highly educated and I have done well. However only after winding up in the hospital in 2018 I started paying attention to what I eat. This Feb, i started clean healthy cooking and eating. I also started working out. I dropped 10 pounds and lost most of my belly. Eat right close to Keto as possible. Only walking 10k then 15k along with it did the trick. I am also doing excercise and lifting. However healthy proteins was the missing point for me. My muscles are not disappearing after a few days.
Keto is not healthy over the long term. It's not a natural state. Best is mediterranean diet, whole food plant based, little animal protein. This is science based.

0:11 "Despite being in his 90's" You have 86 year old in title above. Also he was born in 1939 as you said when he was 6 years old in 1945. Meaning he is 84 years old. Still he is an inspiration and is incredible shape and strength to be weight lifting like that mixed with cross fit at the age of 84.
Sadly, many are moving into 'Senior Centers' (?). The reason , many say, is that they do not want to be burdened by 'This Old House' stuff. Once there, what do most do? Nothing, but watch TV, Eat, Watch TV, and Eat . They don't move, they just sit! My Uncle was one. I'm sure there are exceptions. JMO
I am skeptical of this guy being 86. Also they said he "Entered a crossfit gym in 2006 at the age of 67" that was 17 years ago, so that would have made him 84 at the time the statement was made. But noting that this was posted 8 months ago, assuming someone changed the title and he had a birthday, he would be 85. But I don't even believe that. don't trust older people where age is concerned. There was a woman online some years back deadlifting 225 I think it was (pretty sure it was 2 plates), claiming to be 100. There was even a local news story on her. It only took me 1/2 hour to find out she was 79. Now, credit where credit is due and all of that, 225 is a LOT of weight for a 79 year old woman, even a pretty large woman like her. I can't do it now at age 70, mostly due to old injuries, or at least I would not try it. I workout with one plate (135) max. But for those familiar with the scene, just beware that there are a lot of Brad Castleberrys around, and some of the claims do not involve fake plates, but rather fake birthdates. Also as far as the invention of the kettlebell swing goes, it was included in some Alan Calvert publications from just after the turn of the 20th century.

Im 60 and have been doing 12 once curls since i was 18 and have put on no muscle not even a beer belly, oh well, maybe i should double down, I'll let you know how it goes.

More and more people are requiring care at earlier ages. CrossFit works. I'm 60 and going strong and have no intensions on slowing down.

85 dog? Must live in the boonies. Most counties and cities have dog limits and require a kennel license for more than 2, and even kennels licenses have limits less than 10.
