    The true followers know that UA-cam was never Karli’s end all be all goal. I remember back when she wanted to be a dental hygienist! I am so proud of her for doing what I best for her and for her seeking such an amazing profession and such a helpful profession. Can’t wait to see her future should she choose to share it via your videos or her Instagram or if she doesn’t then I hope she thrives!! ❤❤

    People can be jerks. Very sorry Karli. I see negative comments on the most basic videos. I can’t find one vlog that doesn’t receive negative comments. It’s sad.

    I’m so proud of all of you and Karli❤ You could tell those were little 12yr olds who had no idea what they were talking about and I don’t understand the backlash. I work in social media and it’s so much easier posting for a company than yourself! I probably post on my socials once a few months lol I can’t imagine constantly making video for UA-cam! Those people are miserable and they should be supporting her. She still has a bright future ahead of her and her real supporters will be rooting for her :) So proud of her❤❤❤ Congrats on 25 years🥂

    I hate to say it but when you choose to put your family on the web especially when your kids are so young you open them up to criticism. As Karli has grown she has been virtually viewed as moody or or ungrateful or spoiled or etf and that’s wrong it’s sad that ppl have treated Karli so wrong i hope she finds happiness and joy in whatever she does . She’s a beautiful and smart young lady and she will go far in life ❤

    I have noticed a pattern. Lot of judgment towards Karli, Chase, and Chase’s ex after they have changed their UA-cam presence in some form or fashion. I think it stems from young 20 somethings developing parasocial relationships with each “kid”(I call anyone under 24 a kid as someone who is 41). Anyways, I think it is channeling their angst at them. It isn’t right. And Karli is so right for pointing it out.

  • @kira52
    @kira52 Місяць тому

    the comments on karlis video were mostly not negative but honest discussions and opinions, trying to make her think about it in a objective way, i dont see anybody offending her or calling her names or hating directly as you say.
    the fact that she got offended about those comments says a lot about her not being able to critically think, see the other side and acknowledge it, not avoid confrontation.
    if somebody has an opinion that differs from yours that is not to be called negative comment lol.
    and by posting that video she is speaking to her audience, being a part of the audience we have the right to express our side in the comments to have a conversation, mostly coming from a good place.
    the public is not always kids or angry teenagers, it can be young adults with different background seeing contradiction.
    its not always roses and rainbows and everyone nodding your head. i wish her all the best and mostly to eventually learn to appreciate constructive criticism now and then.

    • @OurFamilyNest
      @OurFamilyNest  Місяць тому +1

      I think you’d look at it a little different if you’ve spent the last 10 years of your life having people feel like they have a right to give their opinion on everything you say and do. It’s an odd concept really. Think about it. A person chooses to post on social media, whether that be UA-cam, TikTok, whatever and automatically it means we signed some agreement that says we accept that by posting this content we have to be willing to hear what others have to say about our looks, our life decisions, our personality, our mood that day, etc? It’s just ODD. When we walk into a restaurant or our jobs there is no such agreement. Even our bosses whom we are paid to work for and respect still have basic human unspoken rules that we follow. They treat us with kindness, respect, and even IF there is an issue it is handled maturely. There is not another single situation in life other than social media that gives people this sense of “I can say wherever the heck I want to this person” because they are just behind a screen and there are no consequences to their words. Again I can take whatever people throw at me because I’ve heard it all and I don’t care anymore. Young adults and teenagers should not have to go through this. It’s bullying and people have harmed themselves and taken their lives over the treatment they have received on social media. Luckily Karli has an excellent support system and she knew it was time to walk away. Whether it happened now or in 1.5 years when she graduated, it was happening either way. And I’m not writing this reply to debate with you. Your comment was respectable. I’m explaining perspective that most would not understand unless they have been on this side of it. It’s a toxic environment that will unfortunately never change and the only thing that can be done is to ignore or know when to walk away when your mental health can no longer deal with it.

    • @kira52
      @kira52 Місяць тому

      @@OurFamilyNest i understand your point and i see you understood that i'm not coming from a bad place.
      i also agree i see it differently.
      She is free to choose and smart enough to do with her life whatever she desires to, but by posting a video explaining her future choices talking directly TO her audience you are starting a conversation with the people listening. As i said before, there were just a few dumb hate comments she could get mad at, she got mad at people voicing their opinion on a video that was talking to them.
      She also replied to a comment of mine on her video. my comment wasn't meant to be hating, it was criticism sure, but i feel she took it that way and immediately became defensive. she then deleted her reply.
      I absolutely agree internet can be a very toxic place and you never have to be ok with people bashing you just because they feel they can.
      Still, you are saying people feel like "they can say whatever they want because they are behind a screen" assuming those were all hating comments.

      i'm sorry she felt that way, and took it as hating while it wasn't showing to be. maybe getting useless hate comments for years got her mind preset that they were so. i just wish you shed a light on that for her to see.
      i am clearly nobody to tell you or her how to live, you know and she knows what's best for her, putting mental health into first place, i find is always the best thing to do. she is smart and i'm sure by choosing not to get absorbed by social media but to pursue her college and her own career path she will be successful. i also feel she could still do yt her own more discreet way if she ever wishes to.
      Also, i had a few bosses and most of them were ruthless, not fair or appreciative and with low empathy. i found that in an office environment you are just a fish in the ocean. and you just have to take it up to a point, or get out of it.
      sorry for the long response, i feel you are one of a few yt-ers still showing humanity and able to speak your mind rationally and respectfully, thats why i felt like i could tell you my opinion, just like i did on karlis video.
      all best!

    Strictly reality, FAR from 'opinion' as I refuse to communicate 'opinion...' Moving on with life is one thing. Letting others, 'bs,' take control over oneself is another. Yeah, people don't 'get' 'working' in socials. I've even commented specific factors, even without even having needed to work in socials, and others would insist I was wrong. I factually know I wasn't.
    My parents have been with Verizon for years, as have my sister and bro-in-law - with their four kids on their account too. My sister and bro-in-law recently got me a new phone, mainly because my parents are getting older now. I'm on my sisters and bro-in-laws account. They recently found out they could take my parents in on their account with no additional cost. My sister and bro-in-law still also have at least three of their four kids on their account.

Influencers getting comments all the time about how they dont have a real job and yet she is somehow still getting hate for wanting to do the opposite..? for wanting to pursue more than youtube and further her education and get a real job…. weird

    I honestly feel super bad for Karli being on camera ALL the time since such a young age it has to have some negative effects on a child as their still developing family vlogging seems soooo toxic happy she can move on (also I don't want this to come off rude to kandi as I loved the vlogs when I was younger just as I'm getting older I finally see how bad it can be for the kids as parents exploit there kids)

    • @OurFamilyNest
      @OurFamilyNest  2 місяці тому +2

      Don’t worry, I don’t get offended by this stuff. One- I thing the word exploitation is overused especially in situations where it isn’t warranted. And Two- we started doing UA-cam back when it wasn’t even thought of. That word was never used. People had no idea that there could even be a negative effect. Do I have some regrets in that regard, absolutely. By the time people started talking about sharing your lives on social media, particularly your kids, having a negative effect- my kids were no longer kids. By then they had their own channels- making their own money- and benefiting financially from it as well. No one wanted to quit at the time and if and when they did want to quit - they did. I think the bigger problem lies more so with the negative effects of social media on all kids/teens period. The pressure to live up to an expectation of appearing a certain way, to post, to have followers, etc. Life was pretty dang good back when I was a teen and we didn’t even have phones let alone social media. So we can talk negative effects all day long but unfortunately most teens have phones these days and they are all affected negatively by it. Times have changed forever and we can never go back to those times when life was so simple.

    • @Averyrosiess
      @Averyrosiess 2 місяці тому +1

      I just wanted to add I didn’t say you specifically exploited your kids I just stated “ as parents exploit their kids” as it’s a bigger issue in society today, I kinda do disagree with that word being overused, though I feel it’s valid to explain family vlogging in todays day by saying it’s exploiting children but I am aware it was a different time back when you guys where family vlogging when nobody really knew what side effects it could have on young children being on camera all the time again I’m happy Karli is starting a new chapter of her life doing something she’s happy with!:)
