No plumbers putty was required as there was a rubber gasket included in the kit. The rubber gasket makes a perfect seal. Putty would interfere with that seal. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Glad it worked, but at 4:38 you actually installed the rubber grommet backwards, the taper is made to pull it to center in the ceramic opening while the flat side would meet your washer, flat. Take care.
This install was performed precisely as per the manufacturers instructions. The drain is centered and there are no leaks. This was done correctly. Thanks for sharing your opinion though🙏
I’ve only ever seen them I one size fits all. If it were too long then yes indeed you would have to cut it down. Just make sure you file the edge down so you don’t get a buildup. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
You are correct. However I’m not going to replace the whole sink. I was only having issues with the drain and stopper. Hair and slime likes to build up in the stopper style drains and I was pulling it apart every few months to pull the clumps out. I like This style of drain. Because it’s clog free. I only replace the parts I need to. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Thanks!
You bet! Thanks so much for your support
Hi Bill. Why didn’t you put plumbers putty in the drain opening of the basin where the new drain went in? Thanks for your feedback. Great video. Billy

Does the new steel piece come in different lengths, of would you need to cut it to fit into the P-trap?

Bro you didn’t tell us how to put that thing at the bottom back together
Put what thing back together? I showed the whole install process. Everything was put together
senseless to have an overflow when you cant put a stopper in it to hold water
