The performance will be interesting. The Icom R20 which I have is ok on civil airband but is next to useless on the military frequencies. I have an AOR 8200 mk3 which performs well on both civil and the military bands. If the new IC-R15 is ok on both then I will most probably buy one as it does offer some nice features.
Hi Ian….eagerly awaiting next episode….be very interesting to your thoughts on sensitivity regarding this and the Icom ic-r30 on receiving airband…..I know the r-30 was excellent I sold mine and ended up purchasing a Whistler trx1 which I am pleased with but since I saw this I’ve been toying getting one just for airband….best regards
So you are discounting one of the main things it’s designed for? Not everything is digital or wanted by everyone. It’s a niche product for people who don’t want a Uniden.
Well £450 in the UK. The IC-R30 I think was £579. Also they are different beasts for different jobs. This does have a colour screen, full coverage on both VFO’s/Receivers, Bluetooth, Dual Band Record, 2000 memories and other functions that make it pretty useful for Airband, Marine and 2m/70cm bands. I agree it’s not cheap but then the R-30 came out before Covid/Inflation/Plant fires etc. The cost of everything HAS gone up!
any news about the programming software CS-R15 ? can't find it ! But I could do most of the programming with.CSV files and direct transfer on a SD card

It’s a different beast to the 3600 but will do a an in use video very soon.
the dual watch and recording simplicity are worth the buy
an absolute change and jump. very good.
the speed of scanning memory channels is awesome
@@HubertCoudurier-wf4nj yes 150 PS.
I meant German! 😂
Without a few digital modes what good is it? Don't tell me about the air band 😒

Size as ID 51
Over €500.- for this without SW, SSB, 4M,23cm ? I paid for my R30 just €100.- more.

Icom are saying Aug/Sept. i am waiting.
@@darrylyoung1121 I saw it on sale in a german (not 100 % sure of the country) site today. The notice/ manual for the program is already on line
What good is it.
Why would you get that when you could get a uniden sds100 and listen to way more
Why buy a digital radio when all you need is an analogue one?
PHD. 😂
Don’t wear it out! 😜
