I understand the business strategy of trying to go where the audience is, but I find myself gravitating more and more towards these sit down chat videos. Short form content has its place, but I don’t see vlogs like this going away any time soon. Thanks for the lovely catch up, glad to hear you’re doing well 😊

UA-cam is just trying to compete with TikTok. I don't feel that will end up being a good move for UA-cam. Hard to make a connection and vest into the creators while only viewing shorts.

Have you thought of getting one of those small charging bricks like Anker? They are handy when you are out and about and don’t have access to an outlet to charge your phone or camera. It’s saved me many times. It’s nice to see Christi back on home soil again.

@@liahatz Not being critical of you not wearing the ring, the only reason I noticed was you were talking about wedding planning, and that was the only part of the video that you weren't wearing it.I just thought it was funny, alot of people taking their jewelry off for cleaning or sizing or a loose stone in the setting. Or a medical condition,swollen joints, or broken bones. Also noticed that you didn't have it on because I thought it was very pretty and I liked it very much.

Very fun video, Lia. I really enjoyed seeing what virtual gaming is all about. I had no idea and like you, I would have been terrified. For a short you could use parts of this video, especially your reaction to the room, lol! You could do a series of shorts about things that trigger you. You really are very funny!

I almost never watch shorts. A lot of people don’t like them. Especially a lot of the core of the J&L audience. We’re old. We want to sit down with a cup of tea or coffee and settle in, not scroll endlessly. LOL

I find the shorts on UA-cam REALLY annoying. I wish I wasn't notified of the shorts, honestly. I use Instagram for reels and follow creators on UA-cam for longer videos and to really get to know them as people in the long-form videos. I skip all the shorts on UA-cam and just delete them from my notifications which gets confusing trying to pick those out from the longer videos.

@@liahatz Hi there, I think you mentioned you left your cloths in the dryer so you now have to rewash them, I say no, no, no, they are already clean you just want the wrinkles out so adding a damp/wet, clean, hand size towel will create steam👍🏻10-20 minutes depending on the material.
Love your vlogs, say hi to Joel, oh I wanted to mention to Joel, he showed us his refrigerator and how empty it is let him know it would be a lot cheaper if he at least put in a bunch of water jugs to fill the space, it’s less money to run a refrigerator when it has stuff in it, just a thought, love to both🥰
I really don’t like all the ‘short form’ videos coming up on UA-cam. If I want to see that I will go to TickTock. I love the longer vlogs on UA-cam just like your posts Lia. Think it’s not a great move for UA-cam they need to remember “You do You(tube)” that’s what makes them different from all the others.
It's a little disheartening that the social media companies are trying to urge everyone to do shorts instead of the normal videos (or long ones). I hate shorts. The whole idea, for myself, to watch videos is to have contact and learn about other people or things or ideas. They are trying to push people to have even LESS attention spans. I honestly can't see how you and Joel and Atch (sp?) can do your videos in shorts and actually convey what you are all about. Hopefully, they won't force all of you to go that route.
I agree! They are pushing creators on IG to do shorts too 😣. I like TikTok for what it is, but there's a huge difference between that and the intimacy a creator can achieve in a longer form video. Maybe we should boycott all the shorts on YT and reels on IG?
