I've lost weight myself by changing my diet. I don't use seed oils anymore to cook. I use ghee and I make my own tallow to cook with. Starches and sugars are non essential. Reduce them and focus on eating a meat heavy diet. Keep in mind that grains are not complete proteins. Meat is where it's at. Bone broth is also very good for you. Sorry I know my advice is very fragmented, but I hope you can make the best of it and design a diet suitable for you. I could have lost weight doing keto or carnivore, but I had to work with what I had and I ended up losing weight anyway.
