Love this video and would love to see more like this! So interesting to see what people are checking out, returning, and requesting as well as your yay or nay if you’d read it. You picked the two I would have chosen! I am also interested in The Secrets of a Charmed Life.
Thank you Jessie! It was fun to make and I would definitely do it again. I read Secrets of a Charmed Life and gave it 3 stars, I was in a rush so forgot to give a yay or nay for it. Haha.
Watching this at my local lib. This is so much fun! A year ago I worked for a Law lib; I couldn't imagine doing this with the Contract law texts. All of the books were so much fun to see!
Thank you for watching! It was so fun to make. A lot of people love AJ Fikry, but I think it may not be for me as I'm comparing it to Backman for some reason.
What a fun vlog! I loved seeing all the books you checked back in. I read The Secrets of Midwives in February and gave it 3.5 stars. I loved all the midwife talk! I have 5 kids. I gave birth to 2 of them in the hospital, 2 at a birth center and one home birth, so I really enjoy books with birth in it and hearing birth stories. I really enjoyed Sally Hempworth The Good Sister!
Thank you! It was fun to make. That is amazing, I would love to do birth center or home birth next if I have another one. I think I'd definitely try more Sally Hepworth in the future, and I've heard the most about The Good Sister.
The Book Spy caught my attention. I put it on my TBR. Sally Hepworth is thriller lite in my opinion. I have read and moderately enjoyed a few of her books. I have had both book you read on my radar. I really did like before we were yours when I read it. I haven't read any other Lisa Wingate.
If you read The Book Spy, let me know how it goes. It's a historical fiction author I have not heard from before and it's set in Portugal which intrigues me.
I love the idea! This video will be awesome as always, Gloria! Personally, I think Shelterwood looked and sounded good, I might have to give it a read 🤷🏼♂️. The boy thing that makes me question this is that the action is told after the fact, doesn’t seem like a smart idea as an author. As for your question I would’ve chosen Shelterwood as well!
Thanks for watching! It was a fun video to make. I'm definitely willing to try more Sally Hepworth and they don't seem to be intense psychological or dark gritty thrillers. More suspense than anything.
Yay!! That’s my favorite sally Hepworth! And I also love books about midwives! They have good suspense! I didn’t love how the girl was about the father of her child though. I can agree with you there.
Hi Gloria - this was a fun video, totally enjoyed your clips of returned books bin. I too have Jane in Austen - interested to see what you think of it - I haven't read it yet. The book I would have picked from the returns was A Deadly Walk in Devon ( the cover caught my eye - I read the synopsis and grabbed it for my kindle ). I have the The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo - haven't read it, you didn't enjoy that one? historical, right?
I was so surprised by my enjoyment of Jane of Austin. Hope you like it too! A Deadly Walk in Devon has a great cover, I agree! I have read 7 husbands and didn't love it. But I'm in the minority. I tend not to like books that have to do with hollywood and there was just a lot of icky romance in it for me to love it.

I love this, Gloria!! Loved all of the clips from the library! Such fun!
@@Shellyish thank you! 💕
Harry’s Trees! Just seeing you grab that one from the shelf made me smile and then talk to the screen🤪, “Ooooh, pick that one!!”
I have never heard of that book and have no clue what it's about so it wasn't on my radar! Why do you love it?
I really enjoyed this video - super fun to see the "behind the scenes" at the library!
Thank you Shannon! It was fun to make, so I hope to do more like it.

Admittedly, I would have chosen The Storied Life of AJ Fikry (I am curious) or a William Kent Krueger book. :)
Thank you for watching! It was so fun to make. A lot of people love AJ Fikry, but I think it may not be for me as I'm comparing it to Backman for some reason.
Don’t give up on Sally Hepworth yet! I agree with you on The Secrets of Midwives, but I love all her other books. I would recommend The Good Sister.
I won’t! Thank you for the recommendation. 😊
Loved this idea! 😊
Thank you! It was fun to film. I may have to do it again.
I loved The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry. 5 stars for me. I'm about to read the Lisa Wingate.
I hope you enjoy it! 🙌🏼

Thanks for watching, Nate! It was fun to make. Hope you enjoy Shelterwood if you give it a go.
This was fun. I’ve enjoyed some other Sally Hepworth novels and liked them. I’ve never read Lisa Wingate. Hope you get to a fun Portland date soon. 😊💙

I think I’d read The Paris Apartment.
@@Shellyish Ooo a Lucy Foley thriller for you, didn’t see that coming!
I read that last year and enjoyed it!
Yay!! That’s my favorite sally Hepworth! And I also love books about midwives! They have good suspense! I didn’t love how the girl was about the father of her child though. I can agree with you there.
It was a fun read! I'm glad I stumbled upon it.

I would have picked Red Rising but only if I could do the audio 😛 If not then I would have picked what you did.
I hope to try it soon! I’m so intrigued to see what I’ll think.
I read one by Lisa Wingate that i loved and one i found super boring. I agree with you that she's not one i need to keep reading. Fun vlog!
Thank you! Yes, definitely on the same page.
I saw When Breath Becomes Air on your pick list. Have you read it? It's a sad but beautiful memoir.
@@jaynehunter-ar I have! I forgot to thumbs up it. I agree with you, it was an amazing read.
Uncultured is SO good.
That one is on my TBR. Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I almost did that one but then my headspace wasn’t in the mood for a nonfiction at that moment.
Secrets of Midwives
Caroline
I do want to read that one, but I need to read The House in the Prairie books first.
