Can't wait for a residential version with a tiny, ultra-quiet drone or a swarm of drones in a compact dock, installed on the roof. Automated perimeter checks and thermal sweeps.
Considering it has only 400 battery charge cycles, I don't think it will be cost effective for tasks that require regular monitoring of small region. CCTVs are better for this.
Yeah but by the time a residential product becomes available it will employ solid-state batteries with thousands of cycles.

@@dreadfulbodyguard7288EVERY rechargeable battery has around 300 cycles of life buddy. EVERY single one. 400 is obviously better. You just replace the battery when it can no longer hold a charge. Can your CCTV cameras fly? 😂

It can. I am no expert, but this is certainly very configurable and can be connected to third party plattforms to achieve such goal that you wished. In fact i saw some youtubers use similar ideas on the Dock1. The cost and the code? I have no clue.

what is the optical zoom on the 3dt, and does the 3dt have a analog shutter for mapping, or is that just on the 3d?

Can the dock be placed at a particular location for survey and then can be used whenever wanted and from wherever you want like from a long distance?
Combine this with computer vision with a multi-modal model that you can train yourself it would alleviate a lot of the repetitive visual inspections and allow inspectors more time to do the more difficult ones.

The only addition that would make the next version perfect is to collab with Ricoh or Insta for a 360 camera attachment that's integrated with the DJI interface.

Hi, I'm the guy in the video explaining the use cases of the dock 2. We use the drone for perimeter patrolling and the thermal camera (black hot palette) works very well for this purpose.
