Ooh, a storm is threatening
My very life today
If I don't get some shelter
Ooh yeah I'm gonna fade away
War, children
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Ooh, see the fire is sweepin'
Our streets today
Burns like a red coal carpet
Mad bull lost its way
War, children
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Rape, murder, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Rape, murder, yeah, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Rape, murder, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Mmm, a flood is threatening
My very life today
Gimme, gimme shelter
Or I'm gonna fade away
War, children
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
I tell you love, sister
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
Kiss away, kiss away
I was there, Sasha and Ronnie best of the show!! Amazing!!! The greatest band ever!!!! Ex wino Steve Jordan did a great job on drums
The solo on Gimme Shelter is a joke hahah
@Pete O am I correct in thinking you will be going to their concerts as long as they continue to tour ?
Great show. Can't capture it on youtube BUT it's a good reminder. I'm still buzzing
This girl Sasha, she´s great. Sounds like the theme of the song. Love that the Stones are great again!
What an INCREDIBLE show!
Tell me one performer in rock that puts out as much energy as Mick Jagger.
The whole show was fabulous and you could tell the band was having fun.
Yes but can we talk about the two guitarrist not able to make a solo during this song
Ronnie usually holds the thing together and nails the solo and main riff but not here. Keef is Keef i still luv him but he turns it on when he turns it on & it wasnt that night. Long time fan here -- my first show was 1978s Some Girls tour; Stones have been largely a greatest hits band since, oh, 200x Bigger Bang tour and probably before -- 97s Bridges to Babylon? Sure everyone wants to Hear The Hits but when your newest hit played is the 40 year old Start Me Up...
Yeah, yeah, yeah they have added the blues cover & a 1 off from a couple years ago to appear current but Ghost Towns filler & clearly not a hit -- restroom break song, sorry.

It doesn't need 'a solo'.!
Love the long playout it's hypnotic!
This is the place to ask for shellter. 3days the most . Then we move on.
Probably hoping they'll drop during a high note.
Great song, but I think Lisa Fischer, the long-time backup singer was so much better, she could really belt out the high notes and sang with such soul. Sorry but Sasha Allen just seems to shout loudly, with no soul, no range on the high notes at all.
The music is a classic rock'n roll. But the young singer doesn't convinces me. Where is Lisa Fisher ??!!
Lisa retired 6 years and a couple tours ago and i agree she was better than Sasha, but after 26 years it was time to move tf on artistically. As a true fan ive caught her solo act touring in clubs & theaters.
@@SFMILLVALLEY Mr. Jordan is also very different. Hope you don't miss them next time...
Iconic tune. Mick moves, but his voice - wtf? Also, Keith just seems to be going through the motions. It's what you get. I guess they could've sounded worse...but.
@TJSmith There just is no real dignity to all this anymore: all of the original band members are now approaching their 80's, they haven't released a half decent album since the 1970's & they band looked bored as fuck playing their "greatest hits" sets to uncritical audiences as they have done so for nearly half a century. It seems the only way out of all this misery is to die as Charlie Watts (a man who always looked as if playing in the Stones was completely beneath him) has successfully managed to do !
@@revol148 even rock icons should not be enabled to lower the bar to this degree. Yes, the 70’s were the Stones finest hour. I’m sure Keith was checking his watch every 20 minutes
@@tjsmith3741 watch checking eh? That reminds me of when I saw the recently reformed Velvet Underground back in the early 1990's - Lou Reed made a point of checking the time between every song ! Still at least he was in it for the money - the same can NOT be said for these chancers - I guess they go on the road due to boredom and the boost their elderly egos get when they hear the roar of the crowd when they come on stage.
Why so salty? Just ignore their music and move on with your sorry excuse of a life, expert 🙄
Ah, the look backward to greatness set misses the real deal while imagining how things might have been.
Thanks for posting! If you have a second, we tried our hand at some original blues songs. As fellow music fans, we'd love if you would take a listen. It's on our channel. Don't be too tough on us :)
