I was in 7th grade overseas and are bus had a tape deck. The kids played this song every morning on the way to school. My introduction into rock and metal
Not too many people know this. When Quiet Riot recorded Cum on feel the noise. They didn’t want to record it. They didn’t want to be know as a Slade cover band. Because it was first recorded by them. The powers that be told them they had to or be in breach of contract. So Kevin Dubrow told the rest of the band play it as bad as they can. So it will not get recorded. Well t make a long story short. What we hear on the radio and on at the time records and cassette tapes was the band trying to play the song badly to avoid recording it. Turned out to be one of their biggest hits. Shows how something’s work in their favor. Like Warrant’s cherry pie. Janie Lang didn’t want to record it. He hated it but again breach of contract if they didn’t. It became a hit.

This band was very pivotal to me growing up in the 80's in Phx, Az. I love RnR, and heavy rock, to be exact. Mom died in 83 when I was 14. So, turned to my guitar n music b/c of shitty remaining "family" (use that term loosely) around. And bands like QR, Crue, Ratt, Dokken, VH, were helpful to me. I remember the summer of 1986. 5150 was hot, VH, and this came out in 07/1986. Lots of radio play in Phx. Went out n bought the TAPE!!! Cassette!! When it came out! HAHA!! I know-makes me seem dated!! Oh well. Good times! Great song/album/video, etc...RIP Kevin. Rock on!!
Jiverdude I live in Tempe. wish the 80s could make a comeback. I’m 18 and in a band.
Quiet Riot Forever
RIP Kevin. He was such a talent.
Kevin was badass \m/ . Rip Kevin.
@@danielleperry5715 Awesomeness, it's the only way I can catalog him
R.I.P
I was in college when this came out. You can't kill Rock N Roll. The soul of Rock N Roll lives inside of all of us. Today's music sucks. 80s music rocks!
I was in 7th grade overseas and are bus had a tape deck. The kids played this song every morning on the way to school. My introduction into rock and metal
First time watching this video, I went back to 80's 👊
This song is one the top bad ass songs I love . All of these men was at the top of their game on QR3 come out .
They were rockin' the suburbs! But they were talented!
Rest In Peace Kevin Dubrow. Your voice was and is iconic.
@@curtishalcomb3249 I believe the story but can you reveal the source where you either heard or read this? That would be interesting also I think?
@@therockman6482 I’ll have to look it up but I remember watching it on an interview with Kevin on MTV back in the day. Come on feel the Noize was originally a Slade song. When quiet riot record it they did not want to be known as a Slade cover band
