The purpose of this video was to show NOT to put Betta Fish in a bowl but ALSO have a Creative mindset and make your OWN Aquarium (this one being 6.87 Gallons) Hope y’all enjoyed it!

Stoarge bins are fantastic for emergency setups and quarantine tanks.
I would never make one a permanent home. I wouldn't trust the plastic for long term use.
Especially for hamsters
@David Harrigan it is mainly for new fish and sick or injured fish. I also use one as a "time out" tank if there is a fish that is bullying other fish.

@@wejsmith5446 a quarantine tank is basically a tank were u put a sick fish so u can have the fish in a different tank then your other fish because u have to use different chemicals to save your fish but the fish in the tank don't need it
You do realize that just letting water sit for a few days doesent cycle it right? The cycle begins when you add ammonia to the water, you get away with not cycling it because you keep them in big tanks but you need to tell your audience that you need to cycle it more.

Is his tap water chlorine free? If it isn’t he should add prime or aquasafe... Well if he wants a quick cycle using seachem stability or tetra safe start might help and let tanks to be cycled in a few days but he needs to put some ammonia in to do that.. but i guess he did none... 😅😅 literally videos for views i guess

please read about cycling a tank. a few days does NOT cycle a tank.... neither does the water contain the cycle! please please read about the nitrogen cycle

Aaron Scarborough the only way to “instantly” cycle an aquarium filter is to transfer seeded media into the new filter; using sand or gravel from an establish tank can help as well, but not a steadfast way.

My betta fish lives in a homemade aquarium. A have a plastic container like yours, and I used flower necklace thing from a Hawaiian party.

Paul has inspired me to make a fish tank because i cant afford an actual fish tank. No, thats BS. If you cant afford a fish tank then you cant afford the proper equipment.

you know nothing about whats happening with that tank so dont jump to conclusions
There is some truth to that but if you want a 26 litre tank that’s new it’s close to $ 150 (CAD). The bin is not a permanent solution, eventually you would have to either replace it with another bin or get a tank but it is a good way to save money considering that the bin is not a safety hazard for the fish.
you should try and do a video about making the cheapest tank possible. you could go on craigslist or the letgo app and get super cheap glass tanks and filters! And DIY decor from the 99c store or thrift store. Just some ideas!! love your videos, keep doing what you are doing
Sarah Michael instead of buying cheap decor at 99cent that can leak toxins into the water I recommend finding rocks that don’t have pesticides and other contaminated and using them

I unsubscribed to catchemall fishing. He pissed me off when he released goldfish and a BETTA in the pond behind his house. He gets hurricanes all the time where he is and goldfish are an invasive species that take over natural habitats killing native fish. He is literally part of the problem.
SOOOOO TRUE, I watched a few of catchemall's videos and he actually ABUSES fish. He abuses fish he catches and animals he has. He literally tried to spear a god damn eel and after the spear not fully going through it just let it go like what? and where he lives like you said, goldfish are super invasive and its very illegal to let them out into the wild. He could be fined a shit ton. And that poor betta wont survive. He and paul are not good people to look up to.
*PLEASE TAKE NOTICE*
1) Letting a tank sit for a few days, does not cycle it. That's a very common misconception.
2) Those plastic plants will rip that betta's fins, you need live plants or silk ones.
3) You need BPA free plastic as it can release chemicals that will harm the fish. + wash it
*Mate, get a grip I'm 12 and not making the simple mistakes you are. You're a newbie, I get it but experienced people are telling you the same things time and time again.* If you had no clue and listened to what we said then I would be more understanding, but come on. Great concept tho.
*Here's what I suggest:*
1) Do some research on cycling, the Aquarium Co-op do a great video on it called the Nitrogen cycle (I think 😂)
2) Buy silk plants, and take the aquarium ones somewhere else. I reccomend real though, as they provide a lot of benefits and many bettas prefer them.
3) Find a BPA-freetub text time, and wash the current one.
Got to agree but I never understood why we need to cycle a tank...I let my 30 Gallon cycle for a week and a half then tested the water parameters before adding in 3 female Betta and the next day they were all dead...I don't have good luck with cycling a tank and ever since I haven't done it none of them have died yet
I also started owning Betta fish at the age of 8 and did a better job than him ,my first one just passed at the age of 8
@@adrithewhiteperson7675 Not always, no but when heated it can leach chemicals so It's just a precaution. Just because _your_ bettas were fine doesn't mean _his_ will be.

IMW Vlogs I get the part about fast moving water but the only reason people say they aren’t compatible with goldfish is because the temperature difference but him living in Florida will provide the right temperature for the Betta.

Bettas will die instantly living in a pond. It always needs clean water and clean environment and it doesn't like living with other fishes because it gives them stress. Bettas rather live by themselves. And this guy doesn't know that the filter flow is too strong for the betta. Also never put them in a plastic container because it may bring toxins overtime. I have bettas & I'm not a professional myself as well but I don't put filter for bettas. All I put is heaters and they are already happy. Filter isn't required for bettas, as strong currents can stress them out.

I have plenty bettas and I'm not a professional myself but I put mines in 4-6 gallon tanks. Doesn't need to be too big, as long as it's bigger than 2 gallons. I also have one that is a 3 in a half gallon tank, with a heater and the betta is already very happy.

well, the minimum is a 2.5 gal but the tank paul made was 6 gal so...major difference. don't use cheap plastic tanks tho, its poisonous

It also shows that people should not get a betta Or any fish if they dont have the right stuff. Idk why you have to do some impulse buys then toss em out after the video. It just shows kids how to waste money. Instead of making these kinds of videos, make videos of you learning how to take care of fishes, showing how to PROPERLY start a tank. Coz all youve shown are impulse buys. U buy lots and lots and lots and lots of fish but NEVER SHOW how you care for them PROPERLY or show how to do fish keeping PROPERLY. This is just a BAD channel for kids to watch. Not a good example for future fish keepers. Puts a bad rep for fish keepers like the rest of us.

Here in California bags aren't required for self checkout, and all the bags are reusable (But not free). I guess the rest of the U.S just hasn't caught up yet, we've had them for years.
