It was advertised as a all ages event. He continued playing 30 minutes after security & HPD declared it a mass casualty situation. Told to refer to dead / deceased on radio as "smurfs". In order of LEGALLY responsible: Scott, Promoter - Live Nation, NRG - Venue Owner. Laws are in place to protect the public & liability insurance reflects the same.

NRG and Live Nation created the plan, they installed death trap bullpens and then didn't control the perimeter. The local authorities didn't check the planning, or they're so incompetent they couldn't see the glaringly obvious danger of creating walled-in pens with thousands of people generating a crush, after the perimeter security had failed at EVERY POINT. They didn't even include a crowd surge/crush scenario in their own risk assessment! This is INSANE. Everyone involved in this event from Live Nation and NRG to the cops and the city officials who approved it should be sued into oblivion for what they've done. This isn't just incompetence, it's disgusting, abhorrent, wilful neglect of the most basic aspects of event planning and crowd control. Because of all these grossly incompetent and corrupt creatures 8 people are dead, hundreds are injured and a 9 year old boy is in a coma.

There wasn’t a single responsible adult among the performers, or the production staff. Houston officials share some blame for allowing this totally predictable tragedy. Also, predictably, nobody will serve any jail time.
The promoters (LiveNation) failed to inform the Houston PD about the number of security detail they needed. They underestimated the number of people, but even then, 1,500 security, between the LiveNation contractors and the Houston PD, for over 50,000 people, is insufficient. Also, the Emergency Action Plan they were required to file before the event didn't even address the 'crowd surge' that happens at any event that doesn't require seating, so they were woefully prepared for it when it actually happened. That was what the problem was.
I know! That's exactly what I noticed. I seen a bunch of videos from earlier in the day. When people first got in the park they bum rushed the entrance and it looked like there was ONE security guard if any. Then a merch line video where people were throwing baracades around. Footage of people mosh pitting, bleeding, and being packed at other performances before the headliner. I was in complete shock. It looked as if there was NO ADULT SUPERVISION or SUPERVISION what so ever.

From the very beginning of the event police saw the fans rush the gate knocking over metal detectors, fight security, harm each other and never addressed it on stage or did anything about it. Security never had a plan on how to stop the show all while Travis Scott a narcissistic sociopath watched his fans die. All of them should never be able to put on another show and see prison time.
Watch the beginning where Travis comes on stage, lights go flashing and two people come out from behind him and do a parkour style leap into the crowd with their feet kicking. That the area where Travis later shut the show down for a second to allow security to get to the guy down.

There were MANY who could have stopped this show single-handed....and failed. Between the overcrowding, the inability of patrons to adequately rehydrate, and all the fire consuming oxygen....then the failure to respond. Sure seems like the consideration of a planned tragedy should be investigated. If it wasn't planned...then everyone involved and every company is severely negligent and should have their wealth liquidated to the victims.

Security should have immediately post poned the show the moment the attendees broke through the barricades. There was no way to have proper security checks in place if they snuck through. Travis may have been aloof to it but ultimately it’s on the organizer for not having enough security to control a crowd of this size. So much protocol was overlooked before Travis even performed.

I was distressed over seeing the picture of the deceased young man online for his family here to identify that way. I was worried for them. And to learn more recently about the nine year old in that condition in the hospital --- it all is hurting people out here too. People online were saying the concert was Hell themed. Looking at all the stage imagery they used for it, and listening to the constant awful noise of it that would serve to drown out any calls for help in the clips I saw, and seeing some of the suffering all those people endured during it in some other clips --- I don't think they were as far off as i initially figured they were being about it. It just started looking more and more like some Hell on Earth to me, and it was for thousands of the people there in it.
There were plenty of red flags in preparation for this event and they ignored them. They were only concerned with making back all the money that they lost out on making due to the pandemic, just like all other businesses. That's why prices have soared for just about everything. Profit over people. Well, I hope these lawsuits cripple the finances of Travis and the organizers, and Travis gets some serious jail time. His negligent behavior has caused people enough harm.
With an ongoing Pandemic still in process, I think the organizers should have insisted that there be some kind distances between the rows of people, and limit the amount of attendees. Other than insuring distance and having more security placed throughout to enforce distance, what else could the organizers do beforehand?!

Just don’t understand how everyone keeps saying 8 ppl who passed away, yet tons of ppl who were at the concert all say they saw dead bodies everywhere. I know that they could have been passed out and unconscious and in the panic maybe ppl thought they were dead, but it’s just strange how so many people keep using the term “dead bodies” instead of anything else….. I also heard people saying there were body bags piled up….. So I don’t know… Also obviously I wasn’t there and only know what I’m seeing via the Internet, but I heard that the WHOLE scene was cleaned up by the next morning…….. I believe the organizers and artists have to be held accountable BUT also what about all the people who stampeded a security checkpoint and literally ran on top of people without looking back! It’s on video shouldn’t those people be held accountable isn’t that reckless so those same people who don’t mind knocking over people and running on top of them were in the concert what was their be Ha like in the concert! That initial stampede should never of happened and security should have rounded those people up. Security certainly failed at many levels this concert was poorly set up and run poor communication unorganized not prepared for this kind of medical emergency I’m sure the medics that were there did their best and were totally overwhelmed, also many security people did their best in this situation and many brave young people helped others. I think the fencing wasn’t properly set up the biggest problem was people couldn’t exit the crowd they couldn’t go backwards forwards or sideways! You should always be able to find your way out!

Not like The Who concert, where the chaos was happening on a separate level from the stage; they DIDN'T know. But in both cases, stopping the show might have killed MORE people, because those fans waited all day- he encourages them to "rage".... Stopping the show would have brought down true rage, and with people already down in the crowd, it would have just escalated until a lot !more people died. They were still caring for those who got crushed on the way IN, and now pissed off people are trying to get OUT. Poorly planned, and should never have been set up the way it was.

If the promoters falsified information on their application then it will be easy to uncover. Sadly tho, nothing will bring back the young lives. Strength to the families. There wasn’t a single responsible adult among the performers, or the production staff. Houston officials share some blame for allowing this totally predictable tragedy. Also, predictably, nobody will serve any jail time.
The promoters (LiveNation) failed to inform the Houston PD about the number of security detail they needed. They underestimated the number of people, but even then, 1,500 security, between the LiveNation contractors and the Houston PD, for over 50,000 people, is insufficient. Also, the Emergency Action Plan they were required to file before the event didn't even address the 'crowd surge' that happens at any event that doesn't require seating, so they were woefully prepared for it when it actually happened. That was what the problem was.
Hopefully it hurts their WALLET a bit… what price is reasonable for a young innocent life?

When people first got in the park they bum rushed the entrance and it looked like there was ONE security guard if any. Then a merch line video where people were throwing baracades around. Footage of people mosh pitting, bleeding, and being packed at other performances before the headliner. I was in complete shock. It looked as if there was NO ADULT SUPERVISION or SUPERVISION what so ever.

Security should have immediately post poned the show the moment the attendees broke through the barricades. There was no way to have proper security checks in place if they snuck through. Travis may have been aloof to it but ultimately it’s on the organizer for not having enough security to control a crowd of this size. So much protocol was overlooked before Travis even performed.

I was distressed over seeing the picture of the deceased young man online for his family here to identify that way. I was worried for them. And to learn more recently about the nine year old in that condition in the hospital --- it all is hurting people out here too.
People online were saying the concert was Hell themed. Looking at all the stage imagery they used for it, and listening to the constant awful noise of it that would serve to drown out any calls for help in the clips I saw, and seeing some of the suffering all those people endured during it in some other clips --- I don't think they were as far off as i initially figured they were being about it. It just started looking more and more like some Hell on Earth to me, and it was for thousands of the people there in it.
There were plenty of red flags in preparation for this event and they ignored them. They were only concerned with making back all the money that they lost out on making due to the pandemic, just like all other businesses. That's why prices have soared for just about everything. Profit over people. Well, I hope these lawsuits cripple the finances of Travis and the organizers, and Travis gets some serious jail time. His negligent behavior has caused people enough harm.
With an ongoing Pandemic still in process, I think the organizers should have insisted that there be some kind distances between the rows of people, and limit the amount of attendees. Other than insuring distance and having more security placed throughout to enforce distance, what else could the organizers do beforehand?!
They could have addressed it as an issue and threatened to shut the shit down before it was too loud to do so which they didn’t prepare for either apparently.

Just don’t understand how everyone keeps saying 8 ppl who passed away, yet tons of ppl who were at the concert all say they saw dead bodies everywhere. I know that they could have been passed out and unconscious and in the panic maybe ppl thought they were dead, but it’s just strange how so many people keep using the term “dead bodies” instead of anything else….. I also heard people saying there were body bags piled up….. So I don’t know… Also obviously I wasn’t there and only know what I’m seeing via the Internet, but I heard that the WHOLE scene was cleaned up by the next morning…….. If it is technically a crime scene and they want to “find out what happened” why would it be clean as a whistle the next day? The whole thing is ridiculous and beyond tragic, and never should have happened. There were so many places that failed throughout this whole thing and I just pray it never happens again……. You never think sending your adult child or younger child to a concert and to never see them alive again. Its sad and heart breaking. Sending prayers and thoughts to everyone involved. I hope this wakes up the artist (all of them) so they can take a step back and see what actually is caused. If it was one of their kids that was killed the tables would be turned.. I believe the organizers and artists have to be held accountable BUT also what about all the people who stampeded a security checkpoint and literally ran on top of people without looking back! It’s on video shouldn’t those people be held accountable isn’t that reckless so those same people who don’t mind knocking over people and running on top of them were in the concert what was their be Ha like in the concert! That initial stampede should never of happened and security should have rounded those people up. Security certainly failed at many levels this concert was poorly set up and run poor communication unorganized not prepared for this kind of medical emergency I’m sure the medics that were there did their best and were totally overwhelmed, also many security people did their best in this situation and many brave young people helped others. I think the fencing wasn’t properly set up the biggest problem was people couldn’t exit the crowd they couldn’t go backwards forwards or sideways! You should always be able to find your way out!

He had a heart attack and is in the hospital with most of his organs damaged and his brain swelling. Saddest thing I've heard in a long time. I'm sure there are a lot more like him still up in the air to live or die. People need to wake up and see what's happening in front of their face.

Not like The Who concert, where the chaos was happening on a separate level from the stage; they DIDN'T know.
But in both cases, stopping the show might have killed MORE people, because those fans waited all day- he encourages them to "rage".... Stopping the show would have brought down true rage, and with people already down in the crowd, it would have just escalated until a lot !more people died. They were still caring for those who got crushed on the way IN, and now pissed off people are trying to get OUT.

Yet he kept going. And even a girl and a boy climbed on the stage where the camera man was to tell him. He kept going. He should have stopped the show until everything was handled. He didn't he knew exactly what was going on

Authorities should also investigate the local town council, as they had to have given permission for this event. If the promoters falsified information on their application then it will be easy to uncover. Sadly tho, nothing will bring back the young lives.

I live in South Beach Miami , and i can tell you everytime i’ve been to a big nightclub to see a big Dj or a big Artist , Fire Marshall was always at the door watching people coming in and inside whatching ppls behavior.
