    As a metal fan I have been to countless large rock festivals. I have been in a sea of huge mosh pits, and when people fall, other people pick them back up. When the artists see crazy things going on or people being harmed, they will stop the show and urge people to help or stop erratic behavior so everyone is safe. I have never ever seen a show this dangerous and terrifying. So sad how it ended…

I cannot remember the last festival I’ve played where there wasn’t a center aisle safety barricade used to prevent crowd surges and give a clear path for emergencies in a general admission concert. Sometimes there’s even two. Stage right and stage left. It was surely mentioned by the OEM and fire marshals but management obviously declined it, which is their right. The way that the barricades were set up in the mosh pit - with separate containers for crowds, meant that groups of people couldn’t escape. The got stuck inside their barricades as people from the outside pressed in. This was very dangerous stage design, and the reason for the crowd crush. Why did they set up the mosh pit this way? I heard that it was because the concert was streaming on Apple+ and Apple wanted clear lanes to do its filming, and they didn’t understand that everyone would crush into the mosh pits like they did.

      Frankly a defense lawyer is usually a far better person than a prosecutor anyways lol and never forget. Police officers have one of the highest rates of divorce and domestic violence of any profession, so let's not pretend simply "being on the right side of the law" makes someone a good person. I went to jail for aggravated assault. I smashed up a dude that was 25 and tried to force himself on a 14 yr old. Does that make me a bad guy? Because I'm a convicted "criminal"?

    I was in a crush situation at the doors of a concert years ago. The people in the back kept pushing forward until we in the front were being crushed. I am a petite female. I found myself being pushed along, feet off the ground but still upright, and I lost a shoe. I could feel it getting harder to expand my rib cage to get a breath. Suddenly, they opened the chained doors and the pressure was relieved. If they hadn’t opened the doors, I might have died. Large crowds are dangerous. Plan accordingly; best to avoid; calculate for bottlenecks, probabilities for surges, sexual assault, drugs, violence, bombs and fire.

    The prob I have with Travis' statement is that if he doesn't want any of his fans to get hurt at a show then why would you ever say for them to engage in violence and that you want injuries from it? Plus injury can mean very diff things to diff ppl. For some it could mean just punching someone in the face, for another it could beating someone down with a 3 on 1, to another it could mean stabbing someone up. I mean a generic statement like that leaves the possibilities wide open and what kind of artist wants their fans injured or violent at a place where they're supposed to be providing entertainment to their most loyal followers and giving them an amazing memory to cherish. I honestly don't think he gives a damn about what happened and anything he says was instructed by his P.R. ppl and any "kind" gesture was at the prompting of his attorneys for damage control. I don't know the man so this is just my opinion, I may be way off base but his past judgement doesn't say much in his defense. The show should have been stopped BY HIM much sooner and anyone that engaged in standing on top of the ambulances dancing should be criminally charged. They may have contributed to ppl dieing because of delayed critical medical aide.

    Correction, and you couldn't have known this at the time you recorded this, but the Houston Police Commissioner held a press conference today where he said the security guard that was allegedly poked with a needle turned out not to be true. That security guard did have head trauma, but he himself said he had not been poked with a needle.
    Aside from that, really thorough and interesting perspective on this incident. Travis Scott's past behaviour seems to suggest a pattern of recklessness, but this doesn't happen if there's better crowd control and better overall organization as well. Given that this was Travis Scott's concert, he bears responsibility for that too, but he's not solely responsible. I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of people facing lawsuits and maybe even criminal charges over this.

    • @tylerd1297
      @tylerd1297 2 роки тому +3

      @@ShakyWarrior I didn't say that. I'm saying (if it happened) it sounds like something that occured after the fact, unrelated to the two biggest problems which were the crowd crush and their rage/mob behavior. The police confirming one instance of it is still heresay not evidence, although I'm inclined to believe it did happen if they're saying it will be backed by the investigation.
      In other words, it doesn't really change Travis/LN's role in this and should be discussed separately which I think Bruce even says in the video.

      @Matt P good comment if trolling lol. Alex Jones is a great example of why you should evaluate claims individually case by case. A broken clock is right twice a day and so was Jones when it came to Epstein, the Clinton's ties to Russia. He's also been in the wrong ballpark completely with stuff like Sandy Hook.
      But what I said is a pretty common sentiment right now and I don't feel like I'm reaching to say it at least sounds suspicious. I try to always consider ulterior motives and possibilities because people can be really manipulative when they don't have to back up their claims with evidence.
