The ending nearly traumatized me when I first watched it. Just seeing her getting dragged to Hell despite trying everything to save herself is depressing.
"Christine does the worst possible thing... Her job." That's what I thought when I watched this. It's a tough call, but, I mean, what is she supposed to do? It's a messed-up situation, but she isn't WRONG. 🤷♂️
This. 10000000% this. Why not fucking curse the people who make their employees do this. If not Christine, it’s going to be someone else. Because everybody is replaceable because they’re not the ones making the rules they’re just made to enforce them in order to earn a proper living. Why punish her?
Ur reviews are so underrated my dude. U derserve a heck of alot more attention. Feel in love with ur channel after watching the centipede reviews. Keep on the good work and god bless
Classic Sam Raimi! I love this movie and your awesome riffed review of it. You just don't get the credit you deserve for your hilarious sense of humor. Thank you for keeping your riff hand strong!
I watched this movie when I was a kid with my siblings/cousins. We were all mad at the part where she "took out" her kitty. The goat demon thing made me cry laugh when I saw it the first time. I also was scared of banks for a bit after this.
How exactly does the demon relate to eating disorders? Because it makes everyone puke? That sounds more like a metaphor for just bulimia rather than for eating disorders as a whole and even then, the only relation it has to bulimia is making people puke a lot.
Considering the old lady already had two extensions (meaning she was granted a grace period already) and died a few days later- no. Christine is not in the wrong or deserved that type of punishment for doing her job.
"The ghost of Ike Turner" made me spit out my drink 🤣🤣🤣🤣 GOLD as always.... EDIT: I commented right when that happened...... AND IT KEPT GETTING FUNNIER!!!!! 😂😂Too much to list!!
Good review and the four bees are very well deserved. I was sad about the way she ended in that movie, but it was very entertaining, gory, and funny. Sam Raimi is the best.
I never saw this movie, but I'm super spooked right now. I had a nightmare a few nights ago where I had to stick a metal pole in a possessed lady's mouth to keep her away from me. That fight in the car scene reminded me of it and I'm shook. WTF 😳
TheNewBee can be uncanny at times, he once broke character and said something like "Put down that sandwich" and several of the commenter's were eating sandwiches while watching, including me😯
I know I can’t be the only one who wasn’t only terrified by the ending….but turned it up to 11 by watching it in slow mo watching her turn into a burned skeleton as she was pulled into hell Because…why not? Already disturbed and upset let’s do it right!
This movie was hilarious until the ending. As someone who wasn't into horror and watch this somewhere in middle or late teens the comedy lulled me into a false sense security until that ending.
This movie is crazy and I often times watch this movie and then I'll watch the other Roma curse movie Thinner. But I like Ricky the Hammer's approach to dealing with Roma curses. The AK-47.
It was all the things going in her mouth....I just could not🤢🤢🤢🤢 it's it's what I always remember about this movie. It's a good movie but why does everything have to go in her mouth 😂
I haven't seen this movie yet, but I kinda wanna say that the old lady who started the curse may have been involved with the occult and demonic activity given some of the things she could do, so not exactly a nice old lady either
Loved the movie, and the review! You are adorable! You remind me of my good friend in Toronto who owns Zoologist Perfume Co.. he has a cat as well. He is your Chinese version!
Hard to watch a movie where the protagonist gets cursed even when they were 100% in the right, thats why i never watched it, it being unfair would have pissed me off during the entire watch.
I used to hate this movie, But after a rewatch I think it's actually good, cheesy and GROSS, it has laughs, scares and a good leading performance, it has a place for sure among good horror movies.
This was my first Sam Raimi movie. I was so disturbed by it. Many years later I thought I’d be okay with the OG Evil Dead. Even for it being a much older movie it still got to me. Raimi might need a full psychological evaluation.. who comes up with this stuff? 🤣
This movie ended in such a wild ass way, I really thought it would save her. And I felt so bad for the boyfriend. AND THE GOAT FREAKED ME OUT. If I look at goats too long their eyes freak me out, the side pupil thing. BTW g*psy is generally considered a slur by the international Rroma community so if you happen to be talking to someone from the group maybe avoid the word until you get an idea if it's okay or not with them. No hate on Bee because in the US it's more acceptable, just a heads up.
Yeah, I didn't pity the girl at all anymore when she killed her cat. The movie was also just too gross for me though i like some of the goriest zombie films.
"The opening to the present day, almost reminds me Saw VI 'These politicians, they say the same thing over and over and over again; "Healthcare decisions should be made by doctors and their patients, not by the government." Well, now I know they're not made by doctors and their patients or by the government. They're made by the fucking insurance companies.' and also tosses in Thinner by Stephen King."
I wonder since this is a sam Raimi film. I think its safe to assume that while this girl was battling demons, across the country in new york city spiderman was fighting sandman or doc oc or venom himself.
This movie has everything. A spooky gypsy grandmother,👵🏼 spanish demons,👹 a not so sucessfully spanish medium,👳🏽♀️ a cursed goat,🐐 a death kitten🐈 and a blond bank employee👩🏼💻 how do her job 😂😂😂
Gypsy? Wow, Mr. NewBee, are you trying to get cursed yourself? It's Romani people, please avoid the g word. Anyways, awesome film; funny as hell and quite underrated. Nice one to review for October!
Tons of gore, blood spewing, tormented by demons, literally dragged down to hell, how the hell is this PG-13. Seems the concept alone deserves an R. I mean The Craft could tone down on sex, language, and violence and it still was rated R because it was about teenagers practicing witchcraft.
So if gypsies have this kind of power, why aren't they ruling the planet at this point? Or at least wealthy and the power behind the throne, so to speak? If I was a CEO I would absolutely have one as my right hand. Throwing curses at the corporate competition and such.
I kinda hate this movie. there's not a banker alive, sane anyway, that would've given that old lady another, another, loan extension. promotion or not it wouldn't be a wise career move. if that old lady hasn't been able to pay it off yet another extension probably isn't going to make it happen. I know it s movie but seriously
As gross as this movie is, it’s a lot easier to stomach than A Serbian Film. Not that I’ve ever watched A Serbian Film, in fact I plan on dying of old age without ever having seen it. (Knowing my luck I’ll go to hell and some demon will force me to watch it A Clockwork Orange style)
I'm a undertaker, it takes two people with manual tools roughly half a hours to dig a about 12 inches deep grave. Depending on the soil it takes longer and with the extra weight of the water even longer.
The ending nearly traumatized me when I first watched it. Just seeing her getting dragged to Hell despite trying everything to save herself is depressing.
She deserved it.
It was funny to me
I love that you comforted your cat during the scary bit lol, I have to have my cat in view whenever there's animal deaths in movies to feel less sad.
"Christine does the worst possible thing... Her job."

That's the best part you can get hurt or punished by doing nothing wrong
She could’ve given the woman an extension. Your argument is the “just following orders” defense the nazi soldiers tried to use 😂
@@BodybagbartI ABSOLUTELY 100% AGREE
"Demon's got a strong pimp hand!"
As soon as that joke was dropped, I knew I was in for a fun time! 😂 Great video, as always!
“Were they using her as a punch bowl?!”
You my friend are an absolute hidden gem and I long for the day where you get proper recognition

as a kid i was mad,as an adult, i understand
From the time when all horror movies had to have one last twist and let the villain/evil win.
You say that like it doesn't still happen.
I've heard some people refer to the demon in this movie being a metaphor for eating disorders.
I have. Pretty interesting take with some good supporting evidence.
How exactly does the demon relate to eating disorders? Because it makes everyone puke? That sounds more like a metaphor for just bulimia rather than for eating disorders as a whole and even then, the only relation it has to bulimia is making people puke a lot.
I love this movie. It doesn’t get enough credit!
Considering the old lady already had two extensions (meaning she was granted a grace period already) and died a few days later- no. Christine is not in the wrong or deserved that type of punishment for doing her job.
If anything, the old lady should've cursed the boss who put them both in a tough situation.
"The ghost of Ike Turner" made me spit out my drink 🤣🤣🤣🤣 GOLD as always....

Man, this movie is riddled with a sheer amount of jumpscares than a FNAF game

Because…why not? Already disturbed and upset let’s do it right!
I love how movie thinks it's completely realistic that her boyfriends' parents somehow think she is too ugly for their son. Hollywood.
Certainly one of theNewBee's best, I'd list the laugh out loud riffs but there're just too many🤣
Great timing! I was wondering when you would upload another video. It really lifts up my weekend. And here I go to watch it a third time!
This movie was hilarious until the ending. As someone who wasn't into horror and watch this somewhere in middle or late teens the comedy lulled me into a false sense security until that ending.
that intro sounds so eerie when you switch the playback speed to 0.5 lol cool vid NewBee 👍

Creepy then, still creepy now.

A friend recommended this last year....loved it !
I wish they made a sequel where he somehow has to go to hell and find her
Kinda like Constantine?
@@davedennison7386 Yes kind of very similar but the whole movie will take place in hell
Your review is more entertaining than the movie. The edits sent me 💀
*Slow Clap*
Adding the theme song from Pee-Wee's playhouse.
I'm giving you you six minute standing ovation like it's the Canne Film Festival.
atleast the kitten got resurrected thats a bonus
Sam raimi also made the poltergeist remake
Being older now this movie makes me laugh
hey can you do a breakdown of thinner? thats one of my favorties

I feel you with the grave digging.
10:36 just give it to your boss
I've had to dig holes for fence posts before. NO WAY is she getting that grave dug out alone
Yeah, I didn't pity the girl at all anymore when she killed her cat. The movie was also just too gross for me though i like some of the goriest zombie films.
Yeah...I can't suspend my disbelief when animals are involved, even in animation or CGI. No can do.
When i saw the kid get dragged as a kid i refused to sleep for days.

I love Raimi movies including this one but my weak stomach doesn't appreciate his movies as much XD
The damn boss should've been cursed. It seems like she watched to do the moral thing, but then basically no promotion.

What the cat do?

What is a “riffed” review?
Riffing is when someone talks and makes jokes over the movie.
How the hell is this movie PG-13?!

This movie definitely didn't have a happy Hollywood ending.
This movie was more disgusting than scary
Gross but fun
I would give this movie 4 bees as well. I love the riff Tom, I re-watch them often. Much love to you and Queen Bee from down unda.
