Right? This guy is refreshing and I am glad to have stumbled on his channel. If you like this try Homeless Movies. That guy is good too. It's great to watch a binge a thon of both.
Edit: The Harry Potter & Stephen King references were one thing, but “Hemingway Trombone” killed me. One of the best Lovecraftian/ Cosmic Horror movies imo! Seems like John Carpenter and/or Sam Neill were almost requisite to making one of quality for a couple of decades, there. Oh, have you read Sutter Cane?
This is one of the few "old ones" kind of movies that works. There's no win or overcoming them. They will win. But before that happens they will drive you mad, destroy everything you care about, and turn your world inside-out. You might be one of the lucky few to survive but the world you have is no longer your own. These are bleak stories that don't always translate well to film. This seems to do it quite well. I may have to watch this one in full. Plus 4 bees is a solid review.
I go back and forth with The Thing and In the Mouth of Madness for my favorite Carpenter. Well shit Halloween is also amazing...Either way John Carpenter is THE master of horror in my opinion. His atmosphere is unmatched. P.S. great review as always good sir. I always look forward to your vids. Brightens my day. Thank you
oh dude bless your heart. i feel like this movie was ripping off Hp Lovecraft to cover up the fact that they were stealing ideas from Stephen King, or maybe my brain is scrambled. that soundtrack was the best thing I've heard toward the end of the century and this movie was about as disturbing as Jacob's Ladder
My husband and I have horrible A.D.H.D, and we love💙💜 your reveiws, we just watch your reviews and it's like watching the entire movie, it saves us a lot of time😃 Thankyou, and keep them coming 🥰🥰
Just got back from the cinema after venturing forth from the lonely isolation of my UK coronavirus-related cinematic hiatus - trying (in vain) to make myself look at least _semi_ presentable, after going somewhat "feral" over the last six months of pandemic lockdown [too late for TMI, but let’s just say, standards had very definitely slipped, personal grooming-wise!] - only to be greeted on my return by the welcome notification of a brand new NewBee Review! _YAY!!!_ [Btw: This was my second viewing of Christopher Nolan’s mind blowing/inverting[?] 'Tenet' at my local multiplex; I gave it a couple of weeks apart, but this time, I made the judicious decision to see it with English subtitles, which _ABSOLUTELY_ helped my cognition of the brilliant, but _massively_ intricately-crafted plot!] Anyway, let the NewBee’s 'In The Mouth Of Madness' _GLORIOUSLY HUMOROUS_ shenanigans begin!
Saw this movie for the first time a couple years ago, and have watched it multiple times since then. Don't know how it flew under my radar for so long. Lovecraftian horror done right.
OMG! A new review up! Yessss! Thank you for your awesome, high quality, very entertaining content! I have been binge watching your reviews and you are definitely my favorite channel. I accidentally ended up watching the Human Centipede and needed help to process what I had just seen- that's how I stumbled on your channel. I guess the trauma from watching the movie was worth it after all! : )
Your Channel is everything I ever wanted from UA-cam. Thank you so much for the amazing entertainment and keep up the good work ! Greetings from Germany 🥰
I have you set to all notifications and I did NOT get a notification for this video 😡 Anyways, thanks for another great one! Definitely one of my favorite UA-camrs and this is one of my favorite movies of all time! Perfect!
I watched ghostbusters 2 today and then I saw that guy, n I thought "hey the painting guy" and literally one second later youre making a joke about "crawling out of a painting for this" 😂 wth. Ur jokes are on point!
I Googled "Lemon party" after being told not to (5:00) and learned something new today😒 I thought of watching a "Lemon party" video but wasn't sure if I'd laugh, cry or be grossed out 🤣😥🤮
I m a fan of Carpenter since Halloween... I red Lovecraft but it s so difficult to recreate his world in movies... From long time Carpenter unfortunately is out, the last movie was the Ward... Except the last Halloween... This movie in... Madness is not easy like life in Mars... But thanks to give a 4, anyway it s Carpenter lol
I always enjoyed this film since first watching it on VHS back in 95. It's creepy, but kind of fun, and with a great cast. Sadly, this is the last good Carpenter film though, despite Village Of The Damned being decent enough and maybe slightly underrated. Still hopeful that John Carpenter will direct some new films of this quality.
I found your videos about a month ago and I am enjoying your reviews so much your humor is spot on!
Ditto! His style isn't like others on YT
I follow Tom since his begginings
I have one complaint........
I need moar!!!!!
Cheerio mate the new bee is bloody wicked.

This was the first movie that introduced me to "meta" films, and I'll always have a fond spot for it.
I read Sutter Cane! 😁👍🏼
I really appreciate your channel and your humor.
Gosh, this channel is criminally underrated. I love how dark the subjects are, but then how funny you make it I'm dead rn-
Man, I would LOVE to see you do a "toodles!" Tshirt! 🧡👍🏽
Tom could wear it for the final parts of his videos - yes !

I love this movie. I've watched it a hundred times.
Bought the movie based on your review, was not dissapointed!
when things get too dark (apocalyptic pandemics, presidents gone mad, murder hornets), i come here for comfort. you never disappoint, my friend.
"party's over"...looking sharp!
You had a riot without me LAME😹😹
I've been trying to remember that movie for years. Thanks for helping me figure that out. I always thought it was a Steven king. 👍

Loved the ghostbusters jokes and the Harry Potter jokes are fantastic.
Got that shirt in red, hope I don’t get beat up!
I remember the first time I watched this and the "blue in the bus" scene broke me.
Love the In Living Color reference!
*Sniff sniff* you smell that? It smells like someone is...
*Underrated*
I want that flying car - good bye traffic jams
I would argue that Rob Zombie would also open a horror movie with hard rock. Also whoever made Malignant. I forgot his name. Super famous.
Zoidberg 🤣🤣🤣 I can't 😅😅😅
😄 That really was Vigo!
Alan.
Love that movie!! I’m sure we’ll get some cat time.
I have that Cthulhu hand puppet, but his voice isn't like that, it's more......"stop putting your hand in me" kinda vibe
