Emmy! I almost died when you actually showed our cards we made you. DIED. Soooo HAPPY! I'm a nanny and my son Avery and my work son B colored those for you. My sister and I LOVE you and your videos and now our sons do too! Watching you love things from Washington State makes me just want to keep sending you things. ❤ Soooooooo HAPPY.
Hello Sara Johnson, I'm inlove with tea and want to buy this tea, but everywhere I look i cant find it. Do you know do they have a website they sell it on? if so can you PLEASE link it to me. Thank you so much
I did send some almond roca! Specifically the Dark Chocolate Roca Thins. Not sure why Emmy didn't show them, but they were definitely in the package. I live in Tacoma so I definitely made sure to send at least one item from the Roca factory.
So much nostalgia, all this food was my childhood, and this reminds me of just hanging out at the Renton Farmers Market for hours eating honey sticks (I think those are a Washington only thing??) But there's so much more iconic food from here too!! Also Ice Chips come in so many different flavors, my favorite is sour cherry!!
People should know that the St. John's wart in the tea could interact with a lot of different prescription medications. Def should check with a doctor or pharmacist before trying it if they are on any medications! --your friendly local pharmacist!
For the breakfast cookie I find the apple flavored one is more palatable. I also toast these and then butter them. Warmed and buttered makes that ‘healthy’ flavor less noticeable, & moister.
being from Washington I got a little excited when I saw this video, it was so nice to see someone not from here try things I grew up on. I'm not familiar with everything but I'm glad you liked almost everything! It was also interesting to find out that some things I thought were sold everywhere are not! Everyone needs those sweet onion maui chips!!
Emmy, you are seriously the best food critic on UA-cam. Alot of people piss me off and show Blanton hate for the country they taste and disrespect for it's people. You don't, even if you hate something you still show an incredible amount of respect that anyone can understand. Not everything is delicious but you are a rare gem and you deserve way more views and subscribers.
Washingtonian here too, are tims chips not a staple everywhere?? I know you can probably find kettle cooked chips everywhere but I figured tims were the default. I can’t imagine not having access to a bag of Tim’s jalapeño at all times lol. All the vending machines around here that I’ve seen even have the small bags.
Idk what it is about you but you make these videos so addicting! You truly describe the food in a great way it's almost as if I was eating it! Keep up the amazing work!!!
My husband and I love your videos Emmy. We have begun our own food exploration of our local commissary (he's in the military) and we have began collecting many of your most famous and infamous treats that we are finding in the international isles!!
My grandparents actually used to have an apiary for decades. They just finished doing it a couple of years ago when my grandma turned 80. It's a pretty interesting things. It's really labour intensive and you have to know what you're doing to make it work, but it's a really special feeling when you raised a bunch of tiny little bugs who somehow manage to feed people.
Hi Emmy, I usually watch mainly you're MRE/IMP videos but as I am from Washington, had to watch this. I grew up in Bellingham, Wash. the home of Erin Baker's Breakfast cookies. and was good friends with their head baker, from their early days as a start up, a lot of their cookies are his recipes. You showing them to your many viewers was just really neat, and made me miss my old home town and friends I have not seen in many years. Thank you for refreshing old memories and brightening my day. I Enjoy you content and your great fun loving personality. Looking forward to more. Cheers and best wishes, Gorbag
I'll be so happy the day she reaches a million subscribers. I've been with her for so long, and her channel has slowly but surely grown a ton. Looking forward to it!
Emmy always cover your cup of tea after you add boiling water. The essential oils from the herbs evaporate quickly and the only was to preserve them in your tea is to cover the cup and then remove the lid by slightly tilting it so that all condensation from it goes right back in the cup. This was the taste of tea will be quite different and much better.
Oh my gosh I loved those Erin Baker's breakfast cookies when I was a student at the University of Washington. And I'm so glad they included Theo chocolates! The only things missing were our great produce (doesn't travel well), some Walla Walla wine, some gourmet Seattle coffee, and maybe Chukar Cherries :)
this makes me so happy! i live near seattle and I've been wanting to send you a package after i get a job, but they beat me and I'm glad you get a taste of our rainy state c:
I have to thank you Emmy! I've never put honey on buttered toast before but you inspired me to try it out, and it's delicious!! New favorite treat for sure!
I just started watching your videos, but I just have to say, I absolutely enjoy the way in which you talk about different products c: You describe things with such a delicate and genuine air c:
I CAN JUST WATCH YOU EAT ALL DAY...YOU FOR SOME REASON BRING ME COMFORT AND JOY. I LOVE HOW YOU EXPERIENCE AND DESCRIBE THE FOODS YOU EAT. I BET YOU CAN MAKE A PLAIN SLICE OF WHITE BREAD SOUND SPECTACULAR. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOURSELF WITH THE WORLD. MAY YOUR LIFE BE FULL OF BLESSINGS AND ENJOY IT IN GOD'S PERFECT LIGHT.
Omg!! I watched her years ago! And I had stopped and forgotten about this channel. for the past few months I have been trying to find her and I totally forgot her name. I’m SO glad I found her again! I love her “Emmy eats ...” series!!!
Ah, yes! I'm glad you liked the Washingtonian treats! If you ever come to Washington state, you must try a cheeseburger and French fries from Dick's drive in, it's located in several locations around Seattle. Love you, Emmy! ❤️
Smiles make the world go round. Wow, Taylor and Sarah really put a lot of thought into that package! Nicely done!! (Wish I could try some of those things!)
Thank You for sharing. You are amazing! You have such an open mind to all kinds of treats, even if it is not your favourite. I was wondering if you ever have a reaction to anything new that you have tried?
I really like when you include little tidbits about yourself like when you started talking about your wish of raising bees but then you hesitated. I wish you elaborated more on that. I heard this tip one time on a food network competition show about the importance of being personable such as telling personal anecdotes. You are fantastic in describing and reviewing though I think there is still room for you to open up more about yourself and your life.
Yay my state! I knew most of these products. It gives me perspective on other states you taste. So you lived in Portland Oregon for a while. Wow. New information. I have been in the Portland metro area for 30 years and love it. I do live in Washington and since you know the area you now know I live in Vantucky, ahem, Vancouver. I have a love who lives now in New England and enjoying his time there. Two fantastic parts of this huge country.
i just want to point out that emmy is literally the one of the only people with no hate comments and watching her taste stuff makes me want to try them too xD LOVE YOU EMMY
I lived there for a little over a decade (Kirkland, Renton) moved back to Oregon two years ago. Funny how you don't realize how much is locally Washington until you move away and watch this video... so many of my delicious old faves. Gonna have to seek out Theo bars and Tim's chips.
What a fantastic video yet again! I've been a subscriber since the early days and wow I thought you would have eaten all around the world by now 😋 hehe. Keep up the amazing work 😘 Amanda, Liverpool UK XXX
Ice Chips Are Soo Good They Retail For Around 3-6 $$ And They Have Lots Of Flavors Containing Lemon , Root Beer , Cheery Lime-aid , Berry , Cinnamon , Cinnamon , Pina Colata , Orange Sickle , Cranberry , Coffee , Pumpkin Spice , Egg Nog , Margarita , Ginger , Winter Green , ECT.
so glad you got to taste washington! I'm a Portland native living in SW Washington and have been hoping somebody would get around to sending a taste of the NW.
When I was a kid we used to go to a farm near my grandmother's and buy honeycomb in a little tub. We could scoop out some of the comb and just squeeze the honey out with every bite! Eventually, we would just be left with the beeswax and we would chew on that for a while. So delicious :) Reminds me of childhood.
Aw, I didn't know you'd lived here! I'm from Portland. It's grown a lot, but we still love it. If you want to re-try the ice chips, the root beer float ones are really good.
Oh my gosh Emmy! I'm glad you liked everything! Sorry the package came all smushed. I notified the post office that there were fragile things in it. Apparently they don't listen.
Hi, Taylor!!! I LOVED the package -- thank you guys again! And no worries about the state of the package, I've come to wonder how anything makes it these days and there was no broken glass, so it was all good. 💕
I live in between Seattle and Tacoma, and I work in Seattle. I've been wanting to send you something from here for so long. But I wanted to give some fun facts. IPAs are huuuuge here. Tims chips make the Hawaiian chips lol.
Yay! I've been hoping someone would send you a Pacific Northwest box! I still hope to send one from my neck of the woods in east-of-Portland, Oregon but affording shipping has been a difficulty. So I was stoked to see this video!! :)
The best Tim’s chips are the Jalapeño flavor!!! I also grew up in Puyallup (next to Tacoma and kent) and grew up chewing on honey comb like it was gum...Such a great representation of my home state!
I live in Washington, Renton specifically. I saw a lot of honey with honeycomb at pike place market, they even let you sample all the different honeys.
Awesome! I've lived in the PNW my entire life. I forget that not everyone has our snacks. It was exciting to see you enjoy foods that I'm so familiar with! ^_^
YAAAYY! The cards were my favorite part...well, besides the chocolate...and the Hawaiian chips. 😅 Thanks again for all the love and sweetness. 💕
+emmymadeinjapan You are so very welcome! I'm so glad my sister introduced me to your videos years and years ago 😄
Hey
Hello Sara Johnson, I'm inlove with tea and want to buy this tea, but everywhere I look i cant find it. Do you know do they have a website they sell it on? if so can you PLEASE link it to me. Thank you so much

Yay! I live in seattle and this package is great but hardly scrapes the surface! WA is such a great food state
also that Theo Chocolate bar was made 5 minutes by foot from my house!
Yes, I agree and I find it weird that they sent postcards of Tacoma and no Almond Roca since the factory and store are right there in Tacoma.
👍👍👍👍👍☺😊☺😊😊☺
I did send some almond roca! Specifically the Dark Chocolate Roca Thins. Not sure why Emmy didn't show them, but they were definitely in the package. I live in Tacoma so I definitely made sure to send at least one item from the Roca factory.

Almost a year later & you are raising bees 🐝😍 you're the best!
For the breakfast cookie I find the apple flavored one is more palatable. I also toast these and then butter them. Warmed and buttered makes that ‘healthy’ flavor less noticeable, & moister.
She's so good at descriptions. I like listening to her voice.

That honeycomb looked divine! I've never tasted the actual honeycomb. And smiles do make the world go round.
I absolutely love the way you explain tastes, smells, and textures. I can almost taste it myself. So cool
You're so smart, creative, well-spoken, and lovely to watch and listen to. I look forward to EVERY one of your videos on your channels.
Emmy, you are seriously the best food critic on UA-cam. Alot of people piss me off and show Blanton hate for the country they taste and disrespect for it's people. You don't, even if you hate something you still show an incredible amount of respect that anyone can understand. Washingtonian here. I once ate some cascade tims chips that were out for a week without noticing any difference... they are that thick and crunchy.

You should try the jalapeno flavored Tim's chips. It's amazing how legit they taste and not like some gross artificial jalapeno flavoring!
