She was the Simon Cowell on Fashion. Not afraid to judge anyone who did not know how to dress. Simon and Joan literally would have been a good relationship. They both judge and are not afraid to judge.

I think it's more the media that's reports it. Not that we are actually sensitive. We need to just get everyone to stop trusting them so they can go out of business. The best way is to teach all our kids. Make sure we prove it to them also. It's pretty easy to do. They literally are trying to make America out to be a bad county. Joan was probably the hardest working comedian in show business.... ever. Her dedication to her craft was legendary. Countless numbers of female and male comedians learned from her and owe their careers to her. So very much missed. 😢

I had the absolute pleasure of seeing her live once, I can’t remember a single thing as I laughed from start to finish, the funniest woman who has ever lived!
I love comedy, and especially stand up comedians. My top 3 are probably Chappelle, Louis Ck and Richard Pryor. I've been stumbling upon many of River's bits on different video compilations and she made me wanna watch more of her so after a quick search i clicked on this. After watching hundreds of specials and thousands of videos I have to say, her intro at the start of the video is the most badass intro I've probably ever seen. On to learning more about her, and from her, now..

Being in British Columbia, Canada, I wrote to her when she had her talk show in New York. I was absolutely thrilled when a manila envelope had arrived weeks later. She had sent me a beautiful autographed 8 X 10 black & white photo of her and her precious doggie, Spike....plus, a hand-written note thanking me for my kind words and being a fan....On another occasion, I knew Joan was going to be on our Canadian shopping channel (TSC in Toronto), and I sent Joan a birthday card and note...plus enclosed a special Canadian 50 cent coin, that commemorated Queen Elizabeth's 50 year reign in 2002. I know Joan loved to chat and joke about Royalty, but that she really had a fondness for those wacky Royals...lol. I sent the card care of Richard, who was the host, as I just knew he would pass it on to her. A month or so later, I was totally thrilled to get a package from New York, from Joan! She wrote a beautiful thank you note, thanking me for the lovely card, note and 50 cent coin. In addition, Joan sent a bottle of her perfume and a gorgeous Joan River's watch...which could be worn by a man, for formal night attire. I treasure those beautiful gifts, and even more so now that Joan has passed on....Joan truly loved her fans and she will always be a class act in my books! I will love her forever..... I think a couple of reasons why she could make fun literally everyone was a) she didn't take herself too seriuously, b) she grew up in a rough minority background as well and c) She mostly made fun of powerful people d) she spoke up with intention (to make people laugh and question their their believes) rather than for attention just have herself heard. Gosh how I miss Joan! *THANK YOU* @moonlightmusic for this treasure trove of laughter! Joan was *THE* best and *FUNNIEST!* She told it like it was and pulled no punches! I will definitely check out your other videos on her and I'm happy to subscribe to your channel! ....I wished I could have seen Joan in person or met her. Being in British Columbia, Canada, I wrote to her when she had her talk show in New York. I was absolutely thrilled when a manila envelope had arrived weeks later. She had sent me a beautiful autographed 8 X 10 black & white photo of her and her precious doggie, Spike....plus, a hand-written note thanking me for my kind words and being a fan....On another occasion, I knew Joan was going to be on our Canadian shopping channel (TSC in Toronto), and I sent Joan a birthday card and
note...plus enclosed a special Canadian 50 cent coin, that commemorated
Queen Elizabeth's 50 year reign in 2002. I know Joan loved to chat and joke
about Royalty, but that she really had a fondness for those wacky
Royals...lol. I sent the card care of Richard, who was the host, as I just knew he would
pass it on to her. A month or so later, I was totally thrilled to get a
package from New York, from Joan! She wrote a beautiful thank you note,
thanking me for the lovely card, note and 50 cent coin. In addition,
Joan sent a bottle of her perfume and a gorgeous Joan River's
watch...which could be worn by a man, for formal night attire. I
treasure those beautiful gifts, and even more so now that Joan has passed on....Joan truly loved her fans and she will always be a class act in my books! I will love her forever..... Cheers from Canada! : )

I think a couple of reasons why she could make fun literally everyone was
a) she didn't take herself too seriuously,
b) she grew up in a rough minority background as well and
c) She mostly made fun of powerful people
d) she spoke up with intention (to make people laugh and question their their believes) rather than for attention just have herself heard.
