The phone has to stay plugged in for this model! There are some 2021 Honda models that are able to run Wireless Apple CarPlay, like the 2021 Accord EX-L.
What if you want to make the music a bit softer, and the directions to where you are going, a bit louder? Does the music stop when the directions are being told?

Hi, On my 2022 Odyssey Elite I can only store part of my contact list. It says the memory is full at my "K"'s I have about 2,000 contacts. Can I expand that memory?
The system on the new 2022 civic is so slow, I’m having problems connecting it wirelessly and Bluetooth. It takes for ever to connect or sometimes it does not connect at all.
Also it will not work if you have an IPOD plugged into another USB port. You have to disconnect your IPOD or other device so CARPLAY is the only thing plugged in. Took me 5 hours to figure this out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kept getting "NO DEVICE" when my IPHONE was plugged into the CARPLAY port! So try with your IPhone being plugged into the CARPLAY port, and.................. no other devices plugged into any of the other USB ports!
@@Perfection100 Not wirelessly but you can with your phone charger. I think to have the wireless Apple CarPlay, you gotta buy the 2021 or 2022. I have a 2020 Si now and it still doesn’t have wireless Apple CarPlay. Works fine when I plug my phone in though.

@@Perfection100 No problem. And no worries. Can’t use CarPlay with the radio or a USB plugged in. Your phone has to be plugged into your vehicle’s port. There’s a spot to plug it in on the driver’s side. When I had my 2018 Civic, Apple CarPlay would activate automatically if I plugged my phone in.

It happened to me and it was the volume. Just press + a few times. It’s a simple thing but that was my issue 🤣🤣

For this model, yes! But there are newer models that are capable of wireless Apple CarPlay.

No, an iPod will only be able to play audio. Carplay is specifically for mirroring apps from your phone
On the 2022 HRV does the cable have to be connected or are you able to connect wirelessly?

It works on the Civic's as well. I have the 2018 model and it works just fine on mine.
