It depends how much weight you lose. As someone who is underweight and has yo-yo dieted, I can understand the gauntness issue. It happens with people who bodybuild excessively (and don't keep up with their food intake) as well.
I lost 20 pounds and had prominent nasal folds after. I looked like 20 years older. I gained back 15 and I no longer have nasal folds. I would prefer to lose weight and not lose volume in my face.
@@autumn_b905 The same thing happened to me, I wanted to lose some fat around my middle so that a dress I was wearing for a wedding fitted better. The dress looked great, but it was only looking at the photos later that I realised how gaunt my face looked. I’ve since put some weight back on and have to say I’ve filled out again in my face again.
@@Kazzy01 I think I may have lost the weight too fast. I'm going to try to do it slowly this time. It's going to be hard tho because I prefer high impact exercise that burn calories fast and I was told to do low impact instead.
Yess it depends on how much. I thought losing a lot of weight would help me look better, but it really made me look ugly lol. Once I started gaining weight back I was much prettier. And when I compare my current looks to when I was like 50-60 pounds lighter, I look like two different ppl in my face alone.
@@GuyVick if someone doesn’t have good bone structure beneath the fat then they can look a lot worse. Significant weight loss can really either make you look a million times better or a million times worse depending on what you are working with
Over the past few years of becoming lazy. I noticed my body getting flabbier. I didnt want it to get too bad so I started working out. After a few months of off and on workouts combining cardio with strength, ive noticed my face has gotten slimmer and it feels more muscly.
True, being slim is cr@p. I turned 39, gave up smoking, got cheek and jaw fillers, put on 20 kilos and I can proudly say I look at last like a human being
both have good and bad points, fat is less predictable than fillers but for large volume restoration its much more cost effective, plus its from you so no chance of a reaction but cannot be used for fine detail work or to get sharp projection
Great to see you all together. Quick question. I happen to have relatively close set eyes. What type of Tx would be used to make my face look the best it can be?
📖 STORYTIME: Around 1 year ago guidelines in the UK changed saying that if you are a Dr, dentist or nurse then in order to perform a threadlift on a patient your premises should first be inspected and evaluated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We applied for this assessment quickly but there were delays and unfortunately, there was a small overlap from late 2019 to early 2020 where the doctors at TLC decided not to do any thread lifts just in case. Coincidentally the drs and I mutually agreed that thread lifts weren't usually the best course of treatment for patients anyway except in very specific circumstances. Shortly after we passed this inspection we trialled a new type of thread technology called 'NORDYX threads' and we all absolutely loved them- so now we are doing more threads than ever before 🤗 If you go to @thelovelyclinic on Instagram we got lots of before and afters to see and I'm going to make a video about these threads for you all soon! 📖
Would you say losing weight slowly is better for the skin? Also, when it comes to fat transfer, can that happen before the person loses weight, or they have to lose the weight first for them to be able to use the fat from lipo? Thank you for the amazing videos!
Yes gradual weight loss is always better in terms of skin recovery and elasticity. But if you are young you can lose the weight quickly and recover relatively fast. And lipo is a tricky one. You need excess fat to even do a fat transfer but you also don’t want to get the fat transfer when you are still very large because you will lose the fat along with everything else as you start your weight journey. I’d recommend getting a fat transfer when you have lost a considerable amount of weight but still have some slight fat remaining that would be the best time
my face looks way better after gaining weight ( from 49 to 69 kg ), weirdly but my nose even got smaller :( My body also got fuller, but sadly my waist isn't the same as before so now I am not sure wither I start loosing weight or stay as I am

@@bryce5284 Because when you lose a lot of weight, your face loses its fat layer and falls. You can end up with a gaunt and sunken face. In most cases, dermatologists use fillers to make up for it. I think this. Dont get too thin maybe size 14. Follow keto diet which is high fat n protein.dont do high impact excerize has this causes sagging and the body releases cortisol. Walking swimming weights are good.

Really depends on the underlying bone structure beneath the fat. Some faces look better with more fat due to them having sub par bone structure. And when I refer to “ideal fat faces”, these people are still slim but have fuller cheeks, softer jaws and just generally softer lines and curves. It’s dependant on the person. Generally, most people do look better with a slimmer face. Your size (in terms of fat percentage) does affect your attractiveness or peoples attitudes towards your attractiveness, I’ve been slimmer I’ve been bigger and when I’m bigger people always say “you pull the weight off well” but a few years ago we were playing a drinking game and one of the girls had to rank the guys in order of attractiveness (Mature I know) and I was at my biggest and did get last place but one of the girls there said I actually have a have the most potential and have a very attractive face, she said the other guys in the group were only “attractive” because they’re slimmer and would not pull off the “Dad bod” like me.😂 I think I was obviously looking a bit upset but I do believe that people base attractiveness on physical fitness a lot. You could have a face like a turnip lantern with a body of a Greek god and be deemed more attractive than someone overweight but with a very pretty face. However this shows us (within reason) you can always do something to improve yourself so always keep that in mind if you ever feel unattractive but always do self improvement for yourself and accept perfection will never be achieved… as disheartening as that sounds 😂
Weight loss improves facial symmetry, allowing our cheekbones and jaws to be revealed. I've never seen anyone lose weight and not look better.
