The thing is, if this costs the same in China as the US version does in the US, then we’re probably getting ripped off.
Ford Edge base model costs $40k CAD whilst reports state that the Ford Edge L starts at 元230k RMB which is roughly $44k CAD.
Just slightly more.
It will be the Ford motor company that's being ripped off. I'll bet dollars to donuts that every Chinese auto manufacturer has already bought one, pulled it apart & is copying every feature.

Why do you show those videos with cars in China and India, and not in US? I have 2018 edge and I am very pleased but its time for an update one. 😢😢😢
Technology is wonderful, design is great. However, Ford sales would improve if the company improved ‘build’ and ‘reliability’ quality.
Theydo that on purpose, cars have not improved much in the past 30 years and many people wouldn't buy a new car unless the old one self destructed.
@@mbox314 The only vehicle coming out of Ford that did improve gradually was the Ford Taurus, but, as good as sales stabilization were Ford even took that car out of production🤷🏼🤔🙄😅😂🤣😂😅

There isn't a resemblance of the FORD EDGE legacy. Thats a shame. It's a typical full technological Chinese car, that should have It's own new name.

Why when it only will ever come out in china
I just don’t care for the fact that they are copying *gm* interiors this closely. I mean this is the best interior from Ford currently, don’t get me wrong, it’s just disappointing it originated with their biggest rival _Cadillac._
Wasn’t Ford just indulging in the vertical portrait styled infotainment displays for all of the reasons they gave for why it’s superior?
That’s for English speaking North America, this is for the Chinese market.
@@jasperli I’m just speaking on Ford’s design philosophy, that’s all. This literally came out of nowhere, like they saw the new *gm* infotainment systems and had an emergency meeting. It’s corny to copy a direct competitor so closely imo, enough of that coming from Hyundai, Kia, and genesis. Don’t need Ford losing their originality too.
The iPad style center display only works if it’s well integrated. This style is easier to just slap on the dash and have it look fine. The iPad display on the ford explorer is really bad.
@@G-Rated Are you referring to the new Escalade design? Because if so, this Explorer has been on the market since 2022 so it would’ve beat the Escalade to the punch (not to mention that the Escalade isn’t even offered in China). And it wasn’t even GM’s design to begin with. The full dash stretching screen has been on many domestic Chinese cars since 2018. It’s a quirk of the Chinese market and why the 2020 Changan Ford Explorer didn’t come with dials, the Chinese market favours more touchscreens.
