Thanks
This was super helpful, thank you!
Our pleasure!!
I know this is an older video but really great comparison. Thanks for sharing
This was very helpful even though it’s several years old! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! It still mostly holds up, though some things have changed
Great presentation
Well ty!
I love your reviews.
Glad you like them!
Best content on youtube
Ty Sam!
Loved this. Do wish you were able to have a walk thru when talking about them.
When I recorded this the Feathers weren't actually physically built yet. I always to compare things on hand
My take away.. if you pull with a midsize suv go with the Rockwood, if you have a 1/2 pickup go with the Jayco.
I ‘liked’ this, but I doubt that I will be watching any other comparison videos because, having done quite a bit of research, these are the two models that I think will most meet our needs. However, it’s a great service, thanks, keep doing what you do.
I appreciate that!
If you lived near us, we would defiantly look to you for a purchase!
Good work here, Uncle Josh. I think you’ve talked me into the Feather micro. Great job brother!
This video is a little aged but still has some good comparison points. Glad it helped!
@@JoshtheRVNerd yeah I looked at the date of it and discovered that. However, I just wanted to advocate for your thorough comparison. You do a great job uncle Josh
Yes like if
They'll be starting to roll out soon!
Also the geo has the hot water recirc so it saves water on start up
Huge help. Geo vs. Micro. I'm interested in the Micro bh floorplan.
We have videos for both!

199MBS: bit.ly/3CwgRC3
Good review! Thx Isn’t a toaster oven better than a full oven I don’t see any videos on it.
Opinions on that really vary by user from what I've gathered.
Somebody always swears by something
Hey man when you're able can you do a review of the 2024 19FBS and compare any improvements they've made vs previous years please? You had some great ideas in this video that I've seen on owner's channels. I have a 2016 Jayco X19H I bought new and I'm ready for a change to a couple's camper to tow with my 2016 Tacoma.
So size vs. weight, really. Seems a fair comparison.
That’s a pretty basic but fairly effective way of looking at it yeah
To get the 37 gall. capacity tank on the Geo pro it includes the 6 gall. in the water heater since the tank is 31 gall. capacity (31 + 6), the Feather Micro is 61 gall. (55 + 6) since the tank is actually 55 gall. capacity.
Geo has since bulked their fresh tank up to 50gal wherever possible btw. This video is not aged slightly
@@JoshtheRVNerd I saw that, would like to see a fully enclosed undercarriage also on the Geo. I'm about to pull the trigger on the Feather micro 166FBS, the good outweighs the bad over the Geo/Epro 19/20FBS for off grid, but Im still torn over the BHS model, no kiddos but the extra storage it provides on these smaller units is tough to pass on!
I like the comparison 😎👍🏻
The geo pro body is 7' on the outside with my tape measure.
For clarity:
Geo pro is a 7ft body
Jay feather micro is a 7’6” body
Geo is 7’4” to the outside of the axles
Jay feather is 8ft to outside of axles
Front plastic caps suck once they get older and crack. Bumpy dirt roads kill them.
I love your comparison videos
comparison like this is far more helpful than single product review!!! thank you!!
Glad it was helpful! I think they're best digested together really. These comparisons are *SUUUUPER* time consuming to make, so I'm glad folks are enjoying them
Love this so much! I love your reviews and appreciate you showing the differences vs better or worse.
Glad you like them!
Enjoy the humor. Keep it going.
I appreciate simple nonbiased comparisons. It all comes down to what the customer is going to do with the trailer and what their needs & wants are. Thank you
I like the comparisons
Valuable worthwhile episode.
Would like to see one or two on the single axle and double axle toy hauler campers.
Great effort as usual.
Thank you.
This video kind of sounds like: This is why Jayfeathers are ALMOST as good as Geo Pros 🤣 I’m a Geo owner and I LOVE it but I’m excited to see these Jayfeathers as well 👍
I recorded this before the Feather Micros were really in production. What I've really since learned is that while these two products overlap quite a bit there are a few key points that separate them.
The Feather Micro was absolutely originally conceived as a direct competitor to the Geo Pro, but the end result was more of a "Tweener" that lands in between a Geo Pro and a Mini Lite in the Rockwood Family
The floor plans and many of the features are similar to a Geo Pro, but the size/bulk of the structure is more like a mini lite which allows for some things like larger holding tanks and an enclosed belly Geos just can't do
That also means the Feather Micros are a CHUNK heavier than a Geo
And that difference in weight really defines them to me. It can potentially change a towing vehicle
BUT.. a feather micro can be handled by a smaller vehicle than most Mini Lites
So again.. "in between"
Here's a few Feather Micro samples showing what I'm referencing here
* 166FBS: ua-cam.com/video/OPLwS2z6T1A/v-deo.html
* 171BH: ua-cam.com/video/P0uj77LHZeQ/v-deo.html
* 199MBS: ua-cam.com/video/okaMWQol6C4/v-deo.html
@@JoshtheRVNerd Ah I see, they do sound cool, I know the Geo Pro was really at the top weight of what I’m comfortable towing with my suv so that does make a difference.
I’ll check them out!
Really like your videos man. I knew nothing about RV’s and have learned a lot from watching your channel. Not close to buying one but these particular one helps me better understand the manufacturing from 2 that have become favorites for me. Thank you!
Really well thought out comparisons, the ceiling and shower height points I thought were important (and thanks for showing your picture for scale haha)! Would love to have the freedom of an RV or trailer someday, and videos like this are always helpful to determine the key features needed! Travel is the main driver behind my financial goals, so it'll happen some day! Great video!
Glad it was helpful!
Josh, YOU set the standard for honest, reliable, expert information! Thank you for another very helpful review. I have always depended on your crystal clear knowledgeable information.
I appreciate that!
Thank you Josh - we're snowbirders between NJ and Florida/Texas (visiting the kids/grands). Looking for something to keep us self-contained instead of hotels (covid worry) as we travel. Love your information and always your sense of humor as we make our choice. Thank you for your videos.
I saw that. Right after I posted my comment. Sorry! I agree with Aloholara about the nets in the Geo Pro. You spend all that $$$$ for nets. Really! Keep up the fantastic information your awesome!!!
No worries! Thanks for watching and joining in the discussion!!
I not only appreciate your sense of humor, I appreciate your candor, knowledge and genuine good will. Thank you for sharing this information with us, I certainly was worthwhile for me!
Thank you :)
Good for you. That was nice of you.
Great video. I just purchased the Jay Feather Micro 171BH. Can’t wait to take it out.
NICE! Congratulations!!
Please continue your comparison video. They're very helpful. Thanks
Good & Fair Assessment! Great Job!
Being in sales for 40 years, you did a good job of not biting the hand that feeds you. Don't get me wrong I love your program, I'm a subscriber.
When I return to the USA, I'll be coming to see if your 6 ft. 2 to purchase an rv. I like the geo pro. 👍
Thanks for the comparison. I am glad that you put the video out. I learned a few differences between the two models.
Glad it was helpful!
THANK YOU, I have been hoping for these 2 units reviewed together...
Thanks for watching! We'll have full videos for both to give you some extra info!
Excellent comparison! Very informative 👏
TY!
Comparisons are very helpful - thanks
My pleasure!
Well done. Lots of fair and useful information. Keep'em coming.
Really well done and respectful of both products.
TY. They're both great I think. Oddly the feather micros ended being an interesting "in between" a Geo and a Mini Lite
Thank you for doing the comparison, your dealership and style is very helpful and getting a comparison of campers that you carry is appreciated.
Our pleasure! Thanks for joining in :)
Ty for such an informed video. Great work!
Always a pleasure
Thanks for the vid. Appreciate all the info...
Glad to help
This is a comparison that makes sense. Thanks Josh

I would also LOVE to hear you compare R pod 193 vs NoBo 19.8. Is that something you could do?
I totally could but I like to have the RVs on hand so I can A/B bounce between them. I haven't been to a store with those sitting there quite yet
Great information! This answered questions I didn't even know I had!!!!
lol -- wow. That's awesome compliment! :)
Your one cool informative funny nerd! Kudos to be setting the standard. Your respect when touring the plants is admirable.
I try!
Love your input. You are the best
TY
You rock!
I am a fan of such comparisons, and I think you do an excellent job and that is why I subscribed to your channel.
Welcome aboard!
Thanks Josh 👌 very informative video. Keep up the good work 👍
Hi Josh, love these comparisons. These two are on my list to actually buy.
Tell ya what -- we'll get you set up with a "two for one" purchase special
It's easy as long as you aren't watching that price tag too closely *LOL*
Thanks for watching :)
You did a wonderful job. I like hearing about the differences. I makes me consider more things and will halp me find a better fit for me
👍I really appreciate the comparisons!
I'm torn between the two ... my wife loves the Jayco 16RK And when we saw the micro ... she liked that lol .... Love this kind of vid!! great job
Maybe a little off subject but why do manufacturers make the exact same trailer with different "skins"? Forest River makes a Wildwood FSX 178BHSK and a Salem FXS178BHSK that, as far as I can tell, are identical.
I actually touch on that a bit in this video: ua-cam.com/video/xf3s4lYbt88/v-deo.html
"Clone" and "Sister" branding of RVs is an old practice. The idea behind it is if a Dealer A has Product X in a territory, then Dealer B can't Have Product X.
However, Dealer B could have Product Y -- the clone or near-identical "Sister brand" in the same sales territory.
It allows a brand to place more of their trailers into one successful territory to capitalize on market conditions.
There are also instances in which Products A and B used to be completely different, but were basically "merged" into a single line. For legal reasons and dealer agreements it's rare for a brand name to be complete phased out.
I was emailing Jayco several years ago and asked them to design a smallish aluminum framed couples camper to keep the weight down. Out comes the Feather Micro which is nice but way to heavy for a mid-size truck so I don't get the point. You pretty much need a full size truck so why not go bigger?
I would like to see a comparison between the geo and no boundaries trailers. I think that would be a comparable comparison
Not sure if you heard but our store will be joining the group at Bish's RV which means videos like the one you've requested will be absolutely possible!
Once I get settled into the new role some "trailer battles" head to head are definitely in order
@@JoshtheRVNerd sounds awesome Josh, looking forward to it.
This is so timely, thank you Josh! I thought we had settled on the Catalina Expedition, but now......
lolol -- also in a similar class for sure, but these two brands I had received SO MANY comparison requests.
Thanks for the comparison! Love the video and all of the great information you put out there. Would love to see more like this.
You got it!
Live in California now grew up on Byram lake in linden not to far from you guys definitely want to thank you for all the videos it has helped during these times of rv shortages. I made a deposit on a geo pro today thanks to the content you guys make
Hoping to get into the camping life next year and your videos are great research!
We look forward to working with you when you're ready!
I went looking at new trailers and every Jayco I looked at had crooked doors and trim not attached like they were racked in transport
I do like this type of series. I'm in, keep em' coming
Josh, your video's are the best, bar none! I'm coming to Coldwater to shop for our new RV because of you!!
Awesome! Thank you!
This is a good platform for people who are shopping between a couple different brands or models. Well done Sir. Thanks
My pleasure!
Like the comparisons
Sadly, Rockwood made that windshield standard.
They did. I think it made their ordering/management process a bit easier
@@JoshtheRVNerdI’m glad it came with the windshield,
This is what I need to know thanks, I’m new at this and shopping
I really want the geo pro 19FD I believe that’s the number but every time I look at one seems like the salesman try’s to sell me the Rockwood 1904 with the slide out nice but not what I want, why do they do this ?
You’re welcome 😊
Cannot speak for someone at another facility. I know only that we're happy to assist you with a 19FD or whatever model you'd like.
Some great info, these two are in my top 5 list, haven't purchased anything before a first time RV camper buyer and glad all this info is attainable:) Love the storage on the Jayco, but there's a lot to love on the Geo Pro as well.
i love this kind of objective comparison
TY. I plan to do more stuff like this, but I need to get actual trailers in stock. I don't like 100% of all this being "classroom style"
Much prefer to get my hands on some campers.
Very, very, useful. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful! We should have our first feather micros at the end of this month from what I see on my inventory reports from Jayco!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Can't wait to see the one with the Murphy Bed. My only complaint about the Geo-Pro 19FD is that the Murphy Bed is a full, and not a queen. If the weight is too high on the Jayco, however, we may have to figure something else out. We are one of those on the edge with the tow vehicle and want to stay somewhere around 3000 dry just for towing comfort.
Thank you very informative! For some reason I’m drawn to the Jayco maybe it’s the fact that I can bring all my toys with me when I go camping ie. My kayaks and bikes or just they way the Jayco looks.
Great video Josh! You answered all of my questions I had comparing these two. Cannot wait to buy the Jayco!
Awesome! Thank you! From Haylett RV of course, right? :)
Haylett RV As long as y’all deliver to Texas!
@@Westerntrailboss We sure do! And we'll include a free 2 liter of Pepsi for you to throw away as well. Coke is categorically the superior cola of course lol
Josh, I'd love to see more of these comparisons, frankly. IMO, you're pretty balanced in your presentations, though, I'm sure I've identified your favorite "kid(s)." You do a heck of a job in the vids and they're appreciated; know that mi amigo.
Y'all Be Safe!
TY for the input
I love you vlogs there are awesome and do informative.
TY Maik!
I really like the video and it made me happy i called a week and a half ago and put my name down for the first jayco micro feather you showed in the video that y'all get. Looking forward to it!!
That's awesome!
Like knowing the differences so I can make an informed decision.
This is a great informational video. This is what all customers do on their own as they find 2 or 3 trailers they like, then do their own comparing without all the knowledge you have.
Glad it was helpful!
Josh, you did a great job of walking a fine line there, professionally done. I had been hoping for this information, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good comparison Josh! Thanks for the video! We are close to the same height, would appreciate seeing you standing in a Geo pro shower for comparison.
Enjoy all your videos Do you offer a unit that can be pulled by my 2013 Subaru Legacy Limited ?
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that only has a max of 1200lbs tow rating which I do not feel is appropriate for towing any rvs
I like these kind of videos from YOU. You don't seem to be trying to sell one over the other. Just the facts and let the customer decide what works for them. Saves a lot of time for the buyer trying to find out what you already know. Thanks.
That's the idea. They really are both great units. They're quite similar. They each have their odds and ends where they stick out. Overall they overlap more than anything
Nice comparison, good job, they’re both great TTs. I own a GeoPro 19QB. I appreciated that the GeoPro came with solar and inverter right out of the box. This gives you a great deal of flexibility in picking camp sites, certainly one a reason to buy a 20’ TT and not a 30+ footer. A side benefit of solar is that you don’t need to stay connected to shore power when the TT isn’t in use, solar will keep the battery fully charged, not to mention times I’ve experienced power outages at campgrounds. I like the front window in the GeoPro, adds light to the camper, ... I doubt if you’ll notice heat loss through the window unless you’re camping in high 30’s degree weather.
Great video. I just purchased my geo pro 20bhs. Absolutely love it. My biggest concern with jayco is build quality. They got alot of bad user reviews. That was main reason I liked the geo pro. Seems alot higher percentage of good reviews. Warranty in the rv world not really usable with the major back logs at dealers to get work performed so rather less warranty but less need for warranty
would love to see and hear your comparison on Geo Pro 15TB to other trailers of this size..
Unfortunately, I can't see any dealer being impartial.
You'll notice I don't offer comparisons for brands we don't carry here. I do not feel I can present unbias information in that situation.
I'll never claim to be 100% unbias as I make no secret that I am *not* an independent review source.
But when we're looking at two things we sell here there's no reason we cannot pull back the curtain and really show where each shines brighter than the other.
We have a growing list of head-to-head comparisons you can see here if you'd like ua-cam.com/play/PLUT5NkY-l88zukyiKhrCNqdwawrbltxl4.html
And you'll see me point out things I don't like even on our new RVs. Plus, if we get something used in stock with glitches/damage/etc I'll always make it a point to show a viewer so they know what they're getting into before they even pick up the phone.
I just wanted to say how much I love and appreciate your videos. You had a HUGE influence in helping us choose our first TT...:-)
OMGosh! Thank you so much :)
What did you choose to take home?
@@JoshtheRVNerd We have chosen the Rockwood 2104S. It had some things we did not love but overall was our favorite. I wish that it was more accessible with the slide it, but I have room to put it out during load in/out and we are destination campers so it did not matter as much to us...:-)
Enjoyed the video, very informative. Would really like to see more of the comparison type.
More to come!
Timely review. I just viewed hot springs AR RV show. Loved both TT and wanted a side by side review. Perfect. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful! Which one was the "Winner" for you btw?
@@JoshtheRVNerd Jayco! More storage and I liked the floor plan better.
I really appreciate the info!
Glad it was helpful!
Great idea Josh , and these are the 2 I'm interested in , curious about the suspension in them , great report
Same stuff there as I understand it. I'll know for sure once production models roll in here.
I like this idea. It is easier to norrow done the models, before you even get there.
