I 'm doing mine over the next 3 days. So far I have the 2nd stone coat on and will do the sanding tomorrow. I had dark grey laminate and I also needed 3 coats of the primer. Luckily I bought 2 kits just in case and I needed the 2nd can of primer. So far it looks totally amazing! Completely different. It does take quite a bit of time and work but it's better to spend a few hundred dollars instead of a few thousand. I would definitely recommend this product.
Thank you this almost retired person can't afford $1,000's and I re roofed my house. pulled sanded painted my kitchen cabinets. pulled all the carpet out of my house and put down Pergo flooring painted all my interior and exterior during covid 19 while Teaching online. Husband hates doing that kinda stuff. I have this one kitchen and spare bathroom project gonna call my plumber to pull the kitchen sink for $100 he will pull the sink and put in a brand new one once I'm finished. I thought I would have to wait years to pay someone to do the counter tops thanks looks fantastic
Thanks so much for posting this. My wife and I had the same quarantine dilemma and decided to order earlier today. Happy to see we’re not the only ones!
Great Job! Looks Fantastic! Product looks very easy to use and does not produce much of a mess and is water based and low odour and low VOC, can't go wrong! Good Choice!
Glad I watched. You did a great job showing the logical process. If I could offer a tip. On stirring the thick second can. Try a pair of Japanese chop sticks
Thank you for your informative video. It seems a bit intimidating, but the cost comparision makes it less so. We need a color change from the Corian countertop that has been in this house for an unkniwn number of years, but 20 plus! We will try this product and hope it turns out as well as your project. Thank you.
I have the same color cabinets and I don’t want to spend a fortune repainting them white (even though it is the ‘in’ color now). I love the look of the color combination of the darker wood cabinets, tan color backsplash and the cream color countertop. It looks better than most of the color schemes with white cabinets. And the way things go the darker wood cabinets will probably be back in style in a year. I have a question though. If the countertop gets damaged can you merely redo the entire process for just the damaged area?
Your kitchen is shaping up really nice with those beautiful cupboards, the backsplash tile and now this new countertop makeover 👍 Can I ask, what was the square foot coverage on those products?
Michael Green Countertops look wonderful the way you dispersed the color in what looks like a natural flow of heavy and light color vs. cream. Most people try for a more uniform look, but yours is more natural with much more interest. Great project!
Jade Xu yes I used a dewalt vibrating sander for the original rough sanding before the primer as well as after the stone coating before the clear coat.
I did mine this weekend. An orbital electrical hand sander will cut your time in more than half the time. Any local hardware store sells them $35-$60 for a good one. Totally worth it!
Just curious if you could email me pictures of the finished countertops... I am trying to convince my wife to let me do it. The video it's hard to tell.

Even covid can have silver lining.

Did I miss what color kit you used?
Great job!
Looks awesome! thank you for sharing this! I am going to use this stuff!
When you sanded this did you sand it with the 80 grit first and then the 120 after?
The question is, how does it hold up?
Were doing this today! Question: did you lightly sand the spread stone after the second coat or use the electric sander?
Looks great!!! How has the durability been?
Would this work on a tabletop that has extensions in it?
Your kitchen is shaping up really nice with those beautiful cupboards, the backsplash tile
and now this new countertop makeover 👍 Can I ask, what was the square foot coverage
on those products?
I believe each box covers 35sqft'
Hi! What color was this. Natural white?
Is there anything we could use for a top coat that is water resistant?

Suzi Q-zy Thank you
I’m confused about the original surface. Was it stone, laminate, or what?
He said it was laminate in one of his replies.
Great job! Did you sand with machine or just with hands? What is the material of your original countertop?

How us the smell?
I just did mine this weekend. The smell is very faint. Can barely smell it. And the little you can isn’t an unpleasant one either.
@@dixiechink7313 how has the durability been since the install?
How many kits did you use?
2 I believe
