What year is your Evo AM1? I am looking hard at Bulls right now & am also a beginner. I test rode one last week (not sure which model) in Eugene, OR & loved it.
Sorry for the late reply, just saw this but it is a 2023. I bought it right before the new year so they were selling them at a discount at the place I got it here in Poway. I love it man, I know pedal assist and E bikes get a lot of hate but I'm a bigger guy and I haven't rode bikes in years and years and I really wanted to get back into it, especially living around mountains and trails all over. I would be struggggllliiinggg like crazy if I didn't have the pedal assist but its no joke either having it. I mean it is a hell of a work out especially in touring or eMTB mode. I never really use the Turbo mode unless I am super tired. The only thing that I don't like is the 20mph limit on the motor cuz you can out pedal the motor and then it just adds this crazy resistance and it can screw you up on flat paths and such. It's easier to ride on trails and hills than it is on flat ground unless you are keeping it in a lower gear. I wouldn't recommend it for street riding, its definitely a mountain bike lol but it has gotten me out on trails I would never have tried to walk and see way more of the area. I love it!
