This is my most disliked part about him. I'm okay with your poking strength being in long range, but being able to **begin safe mixup** at range 2 is pretty fucking bonkers. If you don't have a demon paw you're pretty screwed, especially if he decides he wants to switch between b2 and f1+2(which is safe and tracks both ways) You can't even armor due to the range.

If Tekken is balanced around things like poking and how hard blocking while moving can be sometimes I don't see the value in adding characters like this to the roster at all. I guess you can't pressure or do keepout with slow moves like that though, but scrubs are gonna get annihilated.

Does the sword have a hurtbox, can it be punished on whiff? Can you punish Clive by hitting his sword, or is it a disjointed hitbox with no hurtbox at all?
Even if it has a huge lingering hurtbox it won't help much, many characters won't be able to use some of their launchers because many rely on 2-hit launchers and after the 1st hit connects the hurtbox should return to normal and the 2nd hit will wiff. This is normally not a problem in Tekken because characters dont have that much range and when they do they either move their body with the attack or have a million recovery frames (like lasers and other projectiles). Characters like Devil Jin, Jin (d3+4, cancan) and Xiaoyu (b1+2) are gonna have to adjust their launchers and all the characters are gonna have to adjust their combos because after the launcher they might not be able to use their normal bnb pickups. Its too early to talk about that though, let's wait for someone to post a detailed guide on how everything works for this character.

f1+2 and d1+2 are basically homing safe mids, f1+2 (double sword slash) is heat engager, d1+2 (spear slam) is ch launcher
