This cat is a generational talent, and he’s singing in a bunk bed with what appears to be a monitor when you have little kids. It just fits the narrative. Dude rips your heart out.
Stephen Wilson Jr. can tell a more poignant, vivid story with only a weathered guitar and a voice in 3 minutes than most Hollywood directors can in 3 hours with A list actors and an unlimited budget.

Every time he says "sorry life's so hard kid" I hear myself, in my head, saying that to my son, while simultaneously hearing it from my father, who passed away just a few months ago.
On a side note, Lori Mckenna appears to be credited with co-writing this song. The lyrics actually caused me to look and see if she had some hand in this. It's an amazing song.
