These musicians are damn serious . No matter how famous they are . Even if they are super groups they always start Underground . Such awesome mentality is to be applauded
Each of Lovebites member is actually came from different genre.. And the destiny make all of them together in one band.. That's crazy.. Imagine like you put *Synyster Gates, Steve Harris, Mike Portnoy, Chuck Schuldiner, and Freddie Mercury* in one band..
Another unique(ish) thing about the Japanese music scene... many artists are in multiple ensembles (both at the top national levels and just local music scenes). Performance is a true occupation there.
When I heard Lovebites was going on hiatus I was hoping that Miyako would get together with her old band mates from 21g to do a couple of club performances. I like a lot of 21g's tracks.

Well I like A Drop of Joker's later stuff, and some of the early 'club' footage is a cool historic Miyako moment. I've wondered if SLR would have been a 'thing' if Lovebites hadn't worked out - of course they both have babies now, so that would make it hard. But DAMN, Phoenix was great. *Suggestion: check out 2:40 of Phoenix for the best still shot of Miyako ever.
Cool reaction!! I have to say that I like more how Miyako work her guitar here. Really like the song, hope they release more material in the future. The bassist is someone to have in mind, he is Natchin, former member and leader from one of the greatests japanese hard rock bands from de mid 90's, early 00': SIAM SHADE. That band was really cool, they mixed a lot of genres into their music in a fashion that reminds me a lot of what BAND-MAID is doing right now, although SIAM SHADE is more 80's influenced and sounds more classic. They were primarly a hard rock/pop rock band, but they approach to heavy metal, hardcore, jazz, blues, funk and they also have really good instrumentals. Their lead guitarist, Daita Itoh is one of my favorites guitarists of all time, with a very awesome technique, but always melodic and soulful. I really suggest you to dig into their discography. Check out the album SIAM SHADE VI, it has 2 discs that shows their differents style range: side 1 is very metal and hardcore oriented, pretty heavy, while the side 2 is more melodic and with more pop rock radio friendly sound. They're on Spotify, hope you check them out!!

Well, I must say changing the band was a smart decision. The dudes are not bad but Lovebites is another level.
The singer has a bit of a Chris Cornell sound to his vocals (the gritty part, anyways)...interesting 🤔
When you listen to more from 21g you'll be able to tell that Miyako was already too good for them.
