Miyako recently released a series of three videos on her YT channel, 'Miyako OFFICIAL' , in which she shows us the process by which she creates a new song in her home studio. The band has just completed the European leg of their world tour during which they played two gigs in London, both of which I saw. They are superb live. They have gigs in Korea and Japan next month before making their US debut at Atlanta in September.
Nice reaction! This is one of my favourites from this concert. Miyako writes more or less half their songs and I can just imagine what it looks like when the others, Mao included, showes up with songs they have written and Miyako nods and comes back a few days later with the guitar parts and ideas to implement in thoose songs as well. I would be a bit tense while presenting a song to Miyako myself, especially if she is going to play it with You as well. Anyways Yes, theese Ladies are a bit special to say the least.
A new EP and also a Blu-ray will be released on August 28. „LOVEBITES EP II“ will also contain a re-recording of the debut „LOVEBITES EP“ in a limited edition „Memorial of the Warrior Souls“ is the recording of last years paid livestream which features 7 live versions from „Judgement Day“ album including „Soldier stands solitarily“
A veritable masterpiece. I challenge any metal or rock band to replicate this performance LIVE, and to this level of musicianship. BTW, Miyako composed & arranged about half of their current catalogue of approximately 60 original songs. The other half is shared among the other 4 members of the band plus a collaborator called Mao.
Some think the goal of the brief U.S. tour is to size up their opportunity for a larger tour. Shortly after tickets went on sale, Tthe LA show was relocated to a venue with double the capacity of the original venue. So far, so good. Your chance to see them live in your neighborhood might be coming soon.
Good of you to introduce your friend to the Metal Queens 👑. Yes, the ladies have quite a few masterpiece songs. I hope they expand the number of cities that they play bin the US A new EP will be out in late August.
Great reaction fellas! Just a slight correction concerning “A Frozen Serenade” - Asami and the band’s occasional outside co-writer Mao (who used to play keyboards in a Power Metal band called LIGHT BRINGER) created this song. I believe it’s Asami’s first co-songwriting credit for LOVEBITES recordings on the music side of things. She usually writes most of the lyrics. Miyako writes about half of the band’s songs. Original bassist Miho co-wrote nearly the other half with Mao. And Haruna and Midori have contributed individual songs as well. Though I’m mainly a huge thrash metal fan (and former drummer) from the 80’s who loves the band’s more aggressive songs, I ultimately find “A Frozen Serenade” to be my top favorite song by LOVEBITES, especially from a songwriting perspective. I rarely use the term masterpiece towards anything. This song is one of the few times where I do. I anxiously am looking forward to seeing them perform in LA in September and meeting them (very briefly) afterwards for the official Meet & Greet!
You forgot to mention that Miyako was between four and five months pregnant when this concert was recorded. She played this and several other concerts during the tour on her feet for two hours at a time.
When she gave birth I bet it turned out it was a new signature guitar and the notation for a new album engraved on a solid metal tablet, probably all delivered with a look of stoicism... whilst also shredding.
FYI, they are in Dalla, TX on September 8th, so not just the left coast. I got the VIP meet and greet for their San Francisco show on September 12th. Was ready to go anywhere in the USA to see them and was fortunate to have them performing close to home. So, looking forward to it.
Question.... So you gather some of the best musicians in the world together and make music, what would it sound like? Well lovebites is the answer, these ladies are with out a doubt hands down some of the best at playing and making music that I've ever seen in my life. Very few bands have some of the best musicians at every instrument and if they do fewer than that make great music together
Lets give""LOVEBITES Haruna some camera action all 4' 9"of her giving her drum kit what for, drum cam "Raise Some Hell" DRUM VIDEO ua-cam.com/video/9Rpb1WCayIs/v-deo.html"
Nice reaction, though one correction: Miyako writes a huge portion of the music (arguable if Miyako, or friend of the band Mao, from Lightbringer writes the most, with Asami, Midori, Haruna and Miho all also having songwriting credits) of the music, and has the most individual credits of any band member, but it's patently false that Miyako "wrote it all". She has sole or co writing credits on about 24 out of 58 Lovebites songs, give or take.
The versatility of this band is nuts. Miyako plays the acoustic on the studio version but LIVE Midori jumps in so Miyako can play the piano while Asami does some of her old ballet steps. There is nothing this band can't play LIVE, correction the one thing they are not capable of is a poor LIVE performance. Now they are back home for a short tour in Korea and Japan and Miyako does some piano recitals before they explode at ProgPower in Atlanta on 9/6 and then finish off a short tour across the US. They just finished off Europe but unfortunately won't be at Wacken Open Air this summer.
Miyako doesn't write all their music. She composed about half of their songs. Most of the others were composed by Mao, sometimes by himself, but usually collaborating with Miho, Asami or Midori.
Band Maid can also shred In their song "Hate?" we see bassist Misa a beast on bass have a duel with Kanami their lead guitarist befor kanami's solo they shred on bass and guitar in harmony ua-cam.com/video/yfORoQIqB3E/v-deo.html
I saw them 5 days ago at Roskilde festival it was amazing 🤘
Masterpiece. My favorite band for the past 6 years.
There are tickets available for the Dallas show if you can get to that one.
LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics:
Crystal tears Falling from the skies
Veiling fears The emptiness inside
Time is just passing by
Killing me under the soft twilight
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
One life ends
And one life begins
Evanesce
To our origins
When I'm lost on my way
Lead my heart and guide me with your grace
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
Seasons may pass, but its beauty will never fade away
All living things are precious and irreplaceable
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
White butterflies are fluttering under the silver sky
If only I could wish to see you once more

Lovebites musics have MELODY just like the Universe = Energy Vibrating at different Harmonics of Frequencies.
also Asami started off as an R&B singer singing stuff like Alicia Keyes

Thank you for reacting and supporting Lovebites, the most talented ladies in metal
This song is best described with just one word. Masterpiece

nice reaction, I have seen them 18th June in Germany, I enjoyed every minute, I don´t know when I had more fun, simply amazing😃

My favorite band. This song is a straight up masterpiece that belongs in a museum. It's a little bit unbelievable to see that played live.

How musically badass is Miyako, piano with a guitar strapped to her chest and jumping back up to shred....amd pregnant.
The more exposure of this band to new folks the better, thanks for reacting to this masterpiece by my favorite band! 🐺🤘

Where is his red hat? Hohoho!

Actually I believe Asami is 4ft 10in. Haruna is 4ft 9in. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

They have Dallas they aren't west coast
