As a little side note, Joe has always been a particular favorite of mine, and Shaun Cassidy does (did, does, I don't know) him fantastically. And he sings, which is totally awesome. (And I love the hair style; some guys ought to grow their hair like that more often). Both the boys are funny, but I must say, most of the punch lines (which I've written down, actually), are about eighty percent Joe.
Ahh, it's always a good time for the jazz stylings of Mr. Bobby Troup. I guess this must have been a post-Emergency gig. Shame he didn't have a better song, but I guess that IS the sort of thing you'd expect to hear in a tourist trap piano bar.
I've read enough books to note personality traits, and while the traits of Frank and Joe aren't exactly written in the book (eg: book: Frank is ready to back off if necessary, forcing Joe, who is always described as headstrong, to come with him; show: Frank is not going to stop, and might even break some rules in the process, while Joe is there, questioning the sanity of it all), but still, it's fun.
And when I found out that there was a TV show... Well, I was bored, and questioning what I was doing, but I'm totally glad I found these! There are only two small things bugging me: in the book, Joe has blue eyes, and Frank has brown. In the shows, it's the opposite (though I can't decide with Joe: brown-ish? Hazel-ish? Blue-ish?) Oh, well... The actors are pretty darn good, and their eye color is not their fault.
*grabs Frank & Joe* *shakes them really really really hard* "THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS VOODOO CARDS!!!!" *stomps off, grumbling under breath about stupid guys who can't be bothered to learn the basics of simple tarot cards* (note for accuracy: tarot cards with voodoo imagery, yes. But "hundreds of years old voodoo cards", NO.)
I'm a girl. And I totally prefer the Hardy boys to Nancy Drew. I'm just that kind of girl; the Hardy boys have more awesome adventures than Nancy, and their is more action. I'm having huge trouble trying to collect all the books on hardback (revised; I have most of the originals on e-book thanks to a totally terrific friend of mine). The book stores are really... lacking.
Bernadette Aviela I loved the Hardy Boys books growing up....it is a pity, I had quite a collection of the hard cover books. When we move, I sold them all at a garage sale.
The actress who plays Nancy Drew can't act! She's awful!! She makes Pamela She Martin look like Meryl Streep. What was ABC thinking when they casted her? Big mistake.
love the ones when Joe is singing,he is so cute!
yes ikr!
Pamela Sue Martin was hands down the best Nancy Drew in my opinion
Joe: I never knew she was a magician, well with the capacity to do a spell on you (frank)
I miss Pamela Sue Martin...

This is one of Bobby Troup's post-"Emergency!" roles. He used to play Dr. Joe Early on the show.

And they make quite a team

That's awesome!! I've found several hardbacks on eBay, Amazon, and Etsy, some for really good prices.

I like the Nancy Drew in this episode. She is MUCH prettier than Pamela Sue Martin. I think they should have used her sooner.
