I just started watching it 2 weeks back and now couldn't resist myself from watching it even after a busy schedule. Couldn't believe a series produced in 1977 could be this evergreen. Hats off to the makers and each character.
I started watching this recently, I have become a big fan for this series.. It gives me so much happiness.. In 1977 only they had created this so wonderfully.. Truly amazing.. I like Mr Brown..his patience towards the students... Ms Courtney.. her expressions..accent.. Wow.. Great. Ranjit's 1000 apologies, Nadeem's Jolly Good.. Etc.. All are unique and excellent in their roles... ❤Love this show.. I had shared this to my friends.. Even they started watching and enjoying..👍
Words can't describe how sad I am that it ended.. 11 hours felt like 11 mins.. every single character was so well written. I shall forever remember mr brown as the most patient and kind English Teacher of all time Thanks to each and every member of "Mind your Language" cast for giving such wonderful memories 🥹❤️
I watch this year after year and still tears roll down my cheek from laughter. Hell, what a classic english comedy this is. Dont know why we cant find this same quality these days.
Here's an Indian from Punjab The Native of Ranjit Singh. This was an amazing sitcom and it is still making people laugh after so many decades An Evergreen Show For a Reason🙌
@@shortsaftershotstrue and i love the series but i hate how they show'd muslim sikh conflict I have never seen such conflict ever in my life, infact Sikh's are the one who have (I have seen them) standing for muslims during muslim hindu conflicts. My dadihal is a city where muslims and punjabis have modt of majority and I have seen them from childhood. Their believes match slightly to us. They too believe in helping people etc. Their etiquettes match to our prophet.. i have always liked sikhs and it's hurt seeing this series with this conflict.. I don't know if there is such conflict in both the religions but.. as of me.. every sikh i have met is a wonderful person and i bet every sikh I have met thinks muslims are wonderful too
Man the nostalgia this show stirs up makes me emotional. This show connects so many people from different times and different walks of life. You have to just take a moment to truly appreciate it. The cast of this show have left lasting and enduring memories in the hearts and minds of us who love this show. Peace and prosperity to all of you.
Leaving this comment so whenever someone likes it I’ll remember this masterpiece series ❤. And thanks 🙏 To the channel owner to put all theses episodes together 😊 such a good work. And I can’t believe this series is from 1977 😮. Love all the characters, the writers of the show are such talented fellows who brought this much quality content back then❤.
.I'm reliving my childhood by watching this series, which I first saw almost 35 years ago. Thank you for uploading the episodes; it's a timeless masterpiece with unique actors.
R.I.P. Barry Evans. A sad beginning (orphanage) and ending (died under mysterious circumstances) to such a promising life/career. With his looks and onscreen likability - it's hard to believe he ended up relatively poor and driving cabs. ☮
It does sound sad, but at least he lived a good life and ended up in a series that would be loved by so much people for many years. Life isn't so much about the ending, as it is the experience
Thanks for putting this out here. I was a little boy when this was showing in Nigeria in the early/mid 80s. I watched on a black and white TV Set never knowing why my older siblings and others laughed so much. Now I can understand why it made many so happy
Truely appreciate the uploader for publishing the entire seasons in one video in its correct sequence. Finally. I'm sure everyone's been waiting for this. Thank you. 👍❤
This is a legendary show, a perfect example of humour created out of language, a always joyable and loveable to watch, every character has justified his role to make this evergreen comedy show

Are there any other such shows like this, in order to improve our English language. I found it very interesting. It was also suggested to me by a friend in an IELTS examination hall.
The best part about this sitcom was, instead of telling English & probably some European jokes, it teaches the non-English speakers on how to speak proper English (like me. I grew up watching this show since I was a little girl & now I'm 41 years old) in British style (not American). And I love on how those brilliant actors, playing their characters. They all can speak English, since they all are British to begin with. Well, Su Lee from China is actually Malaysian, Danielle from France is a British girl, who were born in Mauritius with French descent , Taro from Japan was actually Chinese & so were the other actors. It's kinda funny when there are comments in UA-cam like 'Juan English has improved since the first episode & etc ...' Well, the actor who played Juan (RIP) was Spanish by blood, but he was British & he probably spoke English better than I am. 😂 Some of these actors like the girl who played Ana Schmidt, accidentally slipped her Northern English accent in her fake German accent. And I love the dynamics of each character in Mr Brown's class; everyone has their own hilarious individual characters. And Miss Courtney who played the typical snobbish English lady who always look down upon foreign students who speak poor English, as if those students were barbaric & uncivilized. I've no disrespect to any English out there, my mother herself is half English (with black & white) parentage from Leeds, North England. My father is Malay from Malaysia. As a product of east & west parentage, I grew up seeing on how some arrogant white people (especially English) back in the day, condescended to non-English speakers, especially from Asia. And that happened to my own father. Anyway, my point is, I love this sitcom & I love how each character in this show represents the diversity in this world, as well the stereotypes of one's perspective on different race of people. ❤🏴✌️🇲🇾
I'm a 41 year old American and find this show hilarious. We grew up in a different time and a lot of the humor would be lost on today's generation. Respect, laughter and love to all! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@chenzenzo Agreed. But I'm just wondering if there were any American actor who were invited as a cameo in Mind Your Language so far? I think all the actors were British who were just playing different nationalities with different fake accents. The girl who played Danielle too, sometimes forget that she was supposed to be French & slipped out (by accident) her Queen's English. And all the Indian actors who played the different characters from two different nationalities, would always make me laugh with their jokes l. And I just found out the Chinese guy who played the Japanese 'Taro' (was Taro his name in that show? I honestly forgotten) also died long time ago, same goes with Juan (the Spanish guy) & Dino Shafique (Ali Nadeem from Pakistan).
I'm an English teacher who does J's job for real, on the last day of training our instructor played the first episode of Mind Your Language for us and afterwards told us "this will be what your lives are like from now on. Congrats" She wasn't wrong :-D
I was born in India in 72. My father was an ESL teacher from canada, and my mother Japanese. I was an ESL student myself from Japan in canada/ America during early 80s. This is great laughs.
Instant classic, watched it first time in late 90s when my brother introduced me to this series, ever aince that i have been watching it off and on as it has an excellent repeat value with likeable characters and brilliant story written every episode. Thanks for uploading all in one video.
I was in engineering college when MUL was made . Our generation saw it on TV in 1984 and waited eagerly each week. Later, when I became a teacher I introduced this series along with Enid Blyton and P.G. Wodehouse to my PG students; so hilariously received by all and the tradition continues; this series will be alive for many more generations....... This is " Class" in more meanings than one...... for all ages.....great actors who become the role, remarkable script, and splendid direction ...... truly a multicultural mesmerizing milieu.
Never in this lifetime can someone make a show like this,A frickin masterpiece and the best thing is people weren't so soft like these days,They tease each other and their religion just in a friendly way but it doesn't bother anyone..Imagine a show like this today, softies would start to cry instantly 😂
I can't believe my self that I watched the whole show twice already. That's an amazing show. I also can't believe how amazing this show is. Now a days it's kinda impossible to make a show like that. Education with entertainment amazing ❤
I can't believe i had mastered almost all the lines in the first episode, since my childhood😅. I first watched it on CDs in 2010,my family and I watched it almost everyday, what a timeless show.
Finished watching the whole series and loved every bit of it. It was even funnier for me to discover that the actress playing the very British headmistress is actually of Arab descent. All the characters are sweet and endearing, and Mr Brown's gentle smile is so heartwarming. Trully a wonderful show. Wish they made more.
@@tajtandoori9076complaints about what exactly? This show may not be politically correct for our overly-sensitive modern era but it was never mean-spirited or racist. It poked some gentle fun at the different cultures and accents of people but it tried to show that people are all human and have more in common than not, and can learn to get along and develop friendships and bonds despite coming from vastly different cultural backgrounds. I am of East Indian background and had fond memories watching this when i was young. And watching it again after all these years, it still holds up and i didn't find it offensive or racist at all. It's a shame it got cancelled. They could have easily made another 2 good seasons while it was still at its peak. I am aware there is a 4th season that came many years later and was produced independently but it is regarded as the worst season and doesn't have all the original cast members.
@@hv3115 I found this from Wikipedia: In 1979, BBC2’s Open Door[14] carried a scathing critique of TV tolerance of racial stereotypes and its contribution to negative perceptions of immigrants. It was titled It Ain’t Half Racist, Mum and it’s a shocker. Google it. The excerpts from IAHHM are bad enough, but those from the ITV sitcom Mind Your Language, in which an Asian character loafs happily on the dole while two families of his relatives inhabit his one room, are simply appalling. The Open Doors documentary showed the executive responsible defending the programme as conducive to racial harmony. Six years later its commissioner, Michael Grade, admitted it should never have been aired. At its peak 18 million viewers watched it.[15]
What an amazing series! I can never get tired of watching this humorous series! Absolutely brilliant cast! It was one of the best decisions of my life to start watching this masterpiece! Loved every scene of it!
We South Africans absolutely loved watching Mind Your Language in the early 90's. This brings back tons of great memories. I hope that they reintroduce it with new actors and actresses.
Thank you! I've love this sit com from the beginning, and no doubt will love it to the end of my life. A show about a group of people, from different cultural backgrounds, clashing at times, but mostly doing their utmost to come together in love and peace. Look at the students, celebrating the universal joy of Ali's wife finally being able to bear a child for his family. These are universal joys that should be celebrated together, no matter which culture one comes from, it is just one of the true purposes of life that we are put here for. Life is made too complicated nowadays, to the point that even a child's right to exist is argued upon and frowned on by those woke enough who have lost the value and beauty of the divine right to life. Those were joyous times in comparison. In many ways, classic sit coms like these are two-edged swords; they bring back the good times, but emphasize the awful times we're living in today. Bring back simplicity! I say.
This is the best show! Love to watch it again and again. Love all the cast, half of them are passed way. God bless there soul. We don’t live forever but love does! ❤love everyone and enjoy life!
Thank you so much for posting. I remember seeing this as a kid and I've never forgotten it. Apart from growing up I've also taught English for 9 years online and 2 years at a volunteer organization. Teaching English to foreigners is every bit as crazy as this show makes it out to be.
@@tia904 @tia904 I once taught a group class to Chinese students on sports where for 10 minutes we were trying to figure out what vegetaball is. Turns out he was talking about volleyball. The examples are endless. The Brazillians are the best because they will actually make up words that could really be English words like for example - he had a complainshin hahahha. Sometimes...and only sometimes...I miss teaching English hahahahah
@@brandonleroux6059 Same here, I taught English and another language but to individuals... One African kid 11 years old, no English at all, very smart, what is butter? butter is made with milk. What is milk? and so on... Then, I remembered my own English teacher,, he used pictures and cartoons. I also remember a roommate getting offended who never spoke to me again...only years later I understood why. I said in 'you never say it right', I meant 'you' as in 'one does not', she understood it as you as she, and thought I was being critical of her. She just took it, said nothing, I didn't know what happened. Am. or British are difficult because unlike other people, ex. Italians, Indians, Lebanese, Greeks etc. they don't speak up usually. The British in this show do speak their minds.
@@tia904True. The students that clam up and say nothing are probably the most difficult to help - Im looking at you Japan. I taught a class of immigrants and refugees from central Africa (congo/cameroon/tanzania etc) and surrounds and it was like silence in that class. You could hear a pin drop. Too many different cultures religions and genders together. Blank faced stares is draining lol.

Those were beautiful days. At that time, children loved to read magazines. I was waiting for Wednesday to buy Majid magazine and enjoy reading. With his looks and onscreen likability - it's hard to believe he ended up relatively poor and driving cabs.

Are there any other such shows like this, in order to improve our English language. I found it very interesting. It was also suggested to me by a friend in an IELTS examination hall.
2025 and still watching these gems button!
Some of these actors like the girl who played Ana Schmidt, accidentally slipped her Northern English accent in her fake German accent. ❤🏴✌️🇲🇾

All the characters are sweet and endearing, and Mr Brown's gentle smile is so heartwarming.
Trully a wonderful show.
Wish they made more.
They would have if they didnt get the complaints they got. Even the producer regretted making the show
@@tajtandoori9076complaints about what exactly?
@@hv3115 I found this from Wikipedia:
In 1979, BBC2’s Open Door[14] carried a scathing critique of TV tolerance of racial stereotypes and its contribution to negative perceptions of immigrants. At its peak 18 million viewers watched it.[15]
She’s Persian not Arab
What an amazing series! I can never get tired of watching this humorous series! Absolutely brilliant cast! It was one of the best decisions of my life to start watching this masterpiece! Loved every scene of it!
Classic. Never gets old!😂👏🏼
We South Africans absolutely loved watching Mind Your Language in the early 90's. This brings back tons of great memories. I hope that they reintroduce it with new actors and actresses.
I dont think it would ever be this good again.
I say.

Thank you so much for posting. I remember seeing this as a kid and I've never forgotten it. Apart from growing up I've also taught English for 9 years online and 2 years at a volunteer organization. Teaching English to foreigners is every bit as crazy as this show makes it out to be.
Yes, especially if they start from scratch learning any new language.... The misunderstandings are endless.
