All opinions are my own. Thank you xoxox DIY Danie - Навчання та стиль
This obviously turned out unreal (no surprise there!) but also just wanted to say that this is the most informative, useful and interesting sponsorship I have seen for an app from a creator while also holding my interest! Super useful to see exactly how you have integrated it into your process, showing ways that you have found it useful and used in previous projects. Very well done, hope more come your way girl!!🤍🤍
just so people know, it's 11:25 in & an advert before this hack even starts.. until then it's promoting the sponsor. The result is beautiful, just long vid
Thanks !
I appreciate your soul, my good man.
Thanks I don't have 11 minutes to invest in advertisements and goofing off.
Thank you. I didn’t last long though; gave up at the sanding.
I get no ads with free blocking apps and fast forward whenever. I adore apothecary things (the retired RN in me perhaps|.
Am I the only one that came for the ikea hack, but stayed for that AMAZING tool Milanote she just introduced us to??? I've been looking for something exactly like this forEVER
We all LOVE the hack - THANK YOU, Danie, for another marvelous job! The color is gorgeous and the unit so functional as well as beautiful to look at!
But, can I just say how crazy it is to see the number of comments about Milanote??? Astonishing! I have never seen so many comments about the sponsor on any YT channel! We're all obsessed with Danie and her amazing skills and now, every time we use our new favorite app (yes, I downloaded it on my phone while I was watching the video!), we will think of Danie, your friendly neighborhood DIYer! This makes me so happy!
This sponsored product is actually the only one I have seen from UA-cam creators recently that I actually wanna try.
This looks like a special piece you inherited from your grandparents, not something you bought at ikea. I LOVE it.
I was going to say the same thing!
WOW.... now you can show off your great skills to everyone who stops by!
IKEA has a super handy template for placing your knobs/handles. It saves SO much time and makes it perfect!
Love it, I do have a couple of the Alex via IKEA. You have inspired me to do much of the same, but in Prussian blue with leather strap handles.
Dani: "I mean you see these things everywhere..."
Me: ....looks over to the right where mine is sitting.. LOL
I wish my ikea 3 hours way out of state and for some reason shipping is 200 dollars??!!!!
same!!!!!!!!
You definitely do see ikea Alex drawer units everywhere these days. Everyone working from home put them into super high demand and the haven’t been able to keep them in stock at most stores. I have been trying to get one for months.
edge banding was one of those little steps that made my plywood projects look so much more finished and professional. use it every time i can now
This "Hack" 🤓 is Amazing!!!! What a brilliant idea. I love the color, too! It so has that vintage feel. I can hardly wait to see your house, when it's finished. Except for the creative mind, nothing is ever done!
Just tried Milanote and my mind is completely blown. I know this will help me to stay organized with my own projects.
“Celebrate the small things, because they all count!”........💙💜 - Danie, your friendly DIY Philosopher 💜💙
Thank you for the brain noodle cloud image - it sparked me to visualize my creative ideas as a plate of spaghetti! I don't have to separate the strands, I can eat multiple strands at once, and each one is coated in delicious nutritious sauce (daily life activities). This makes me so happy! My WIPs aren't failures, they're spaghetti. YUM!
I love the Alex drawers. But this hack takes them to the next level! Well done.
This green is gorgeous! I was looking for the perfect green for my kitchen cabinets and as soon as I saw this post, I went out and purchased it! My kitchen looks AMAZING! ☺️ Thank you Danie!
Well...Danie just introduced me to a new productivity tool now I can never leave.
I have seen A LOT of sponsored content in my life but nothing has quite blown my mind like this. As a design professional, I am MIND BLOWN and totally bringing this up/incorporating into our work.
Wow, I could even understand that description of Milanote and I am an oldie...seriously. I must have it! The end result is amazing. That colour inspires !!!!
I'm from Bazil, and also I'm studying architecture, so when I saw Milanote I thought, thas perfect for me. Thanks for the tip.
Can’t believe I’m watching this seconds after you’ve uploaded!! Small things that make us happy! Lol
100% I LOVE that her videos are ready for me first thing Sat morning & I can watch them while drinking coffee
Alfred Hitchcock and the birds cool. I’m so stoked twice in one week. You can make a jig out of scrap wood then only have to measure once. Wow wow wow excellent.
My cheap trick to paint plywood edges, is to use spackling compound, I'm not sure but I think it is cheaper than the iron on edging.
OMG!! I just can imagine your art room all like an apothecary room!! Because...this is the way!
Sweet Danie!! Could you please make a tutorial on painting melamine furniture? It would be perfect, since you are great at explaining step by step. I own some old furniture that could use a hand to get back to life
as someone that currently has 2 Alex cabinets smushed together could not be more thrilled 2 mins in
I've had the Alex drawers in my IKEA cart for over a year! Now I know how I want them to look!!! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! ...and that Eucalyptus Wreath color? AH-mazing!!! Gorgeous project!
Do I own these no. Will I thrift some and do it later YUP.
when the handles arent centred, they can be hard to pull. The overall results looks very similar to the desires look. you've done really well
This might be my favorite Ikea hack! It looks great.
"I do not need another APP. I do not need another DIY. I do not." No IKEA near me so am safe, right? Well done. Love the color. Just found your site. Will show my DIY daughter who owns her own handywomen business. Thanks.
Officially, Danie you are the Queen of Ikea hacks. Kudos for you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love your channel so much! I’m so excited to see a video just as I sat down with a cup of tea. Hello from Scotland!
Me too in Scotland
Me too but in Canada 🇨🇦
Lancashire 👍 england
Me doing this in Scotland by August 2021! Yippee!
It would also be helpful to tell people what tools they will need before starting a project like this. The tools you are using make this project VERY EXPENSIVE.
I have an Alex and love it very much. In my apartment the boring but sleek design fits quite well but what you made with it is incredible! Sometimes I wish I had a whole wall of drawers, floor to ceiling, as wide as a room, to neatly sort an label all the stuff from the whole apartment.
I absolutely love love love this piece! Amazing job!
i ADORE This!! the antique hardware finishes the illusion perfectly😍
She can build anything AND rap....girl your a beast! I love this!!!
My favorite color. I’ve been collecting Jadite dishes for 35 years and I almost have all 3 sizes in the cake pedestals in 5 colors. Love it and use it regularly.
Wow, love the end result. And the sponsor is amazing, I had been looking for something like that! Immediately clicked the link
It turned out so gorgeous! I would love to have one like this and the color is beautiful.
Love it! And love the Alfred Hitchcock framed print behind you at the beginning, I love all of his shows/movies so fun! I love how creative you are!
I am woman hear me roar... I'm not a creative or daring person for changing things. I can design from start to finish. But can not change an item already made. You rock. I love this idea.
I totally agree about covering the edge. It really adds that final touch.
I literally never thought I needed a web app to organize things but my gosh this is perfect for me and I'm excited to start using it!
I NEED THIS! I love everything about this apothecary hack and I love that I can look at your Milanote board for all the things I'll need to make it. Thank you!!
Milanote is amazing! Great for seeing your day to day personal stuff alongside my small etsy shop stuff. Thanks so much for sharing it!
Also, big fan of the channel as I'm a big diyer. We bought a house a year ago and are slowly doing it up too. Not our forever home, but making improvements to sell on in the future. And I love your energy and being able to be silly on camera. You be you girl!
I'm from England but Canada has a place in my heart as I worked over there for a year. So big love from across the pond xx
I love what you did! I would totally recreate this.
Drinking my cup of coffee while watching your video. I loveeee your channel and im loving your new house videos. Sending you a hug from Costa Rica
Oh my gosh!!!! You are amazing. The ad is a bit long just so you know. You have inspired me to get to work on making my studio more user-friendly.
Girl!!! You got my mind going 100 mph. I don’t know what to do first. So, I downloaded the Milanote app. While I watched. Thank you so much for inspiration!!!!! Keep up the awesome work!
Love from Jamaica 🇯🇲 ikea hacks are always fun...
I love this idea! I’m glad I found you! I love creative people. Also, thanks for the Milinote tip. I downloaded it. Thanks again!
Does anyone else wish we had a cam on her editing guy when he is watching the footage for the first time. Is he crying? Is he laughing? Is it a combo? LOL. I love Danie energy!
Mostly crying lol
I appreciate you sharing that we do make mistakes whatever we are creating, and that's okay
I would've put wheels on, instead, for such a heavy piece.
I did that for my flatpack desk and entertainment center. I can't move big furniture by myself without wrecking it, my back, or the floors.
I put hidden casters on lots of my furniture. It makes it easier to move furniture away from the walls when they need to be painted.
I literally saw the thumbnail and said "OOHHHHHH DANIE WHAT DID YOU MAKE?!?!?!" 😁😁😁
🤭🤭🤭
@@DIYDanie Is that a Belgian Malinois?
I have to say Milanote was very lucky when they decided to sponsor you. This is one of the best shout outs I have ever seen! Great job. Now I'm off to watch your project.
Love it!!!!!! A beautiful option would be to use a black label maker for the writing! Give it that professional finishing touch! ❤️
I love your channel. Usually I fast forward through sponsor info but you did such a great job and I found it fascinating and so informative. Great job Danie!! Hugs to pup and Jeffrey.
The sponsor info was the bomb. Coulda been a complete video on it's own. Made a note to look for Stephanie's office and other projects on her milanote.
19:27 "...I added "no nail" to the sides... and then used a braid nail gun.."
"No nail": *Am I a joke to you?*
Danie: Frankly, nail glue - You never stick to the plan. You were always a pawn!
@@DIYDanie nail glue: *cries in craft supplies*
I see what you did there Danie!
I am so in LOVE with this paint colour. And I'm not really a green person. Good choice. This piece is stunning, and I prefer it to the first one - which I adored, by the way.
I do n0t own the Ikea 'Alex' storage units, but WOW, do I want some now! You did a marvelous job! I will be daydreaming of your new Apothecary unit for a very long time. BEAUTIFUL. It might be my favorite piece you've ever done.
This looks amazing! Its perfect and i love the color!!!
DANIE! I’m so inspired by you! I love that you do fun and crafty, as well as hard home owning projects! Seeing a WOMAN do all the things, use the power tools, really fucking helps me feel like I can do it to! Thank you Danie 🤗🙏🏻🖖🏻!
you CAN do it. So what if you screw up? I screw up ALL THE TIME but you learn and get better (live everything in life) and then you build some BOMB ass project and you think - HOLY CRAP, DID I JUST BUILD THAT?!? it's the best feeling in the world. xx YOU GOT THIS.
I’ve never been so interested in watching sponsor details before! I’m absolutely going to check it out. The apothecary looks amazing!
That’s awesome! Not only did you repurpose something you already had, but you created something even more functional- BRAVO! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. The green is beautiful, good choice 👍🏽
Formal request for "Slap the table; FUN PROJECT!" merch.
🤣🤣🤣 DONE.
@@DIYDanie 🎉😂
I just started the process of hacking my own Alex drawers so this was the perfect timing!
This is legit the first time I ever watched a sponsorship ad from start to finish.!! This site is genius! Thank you so much for sharing it!!! ♥️ Im gonna watch the rest now
I love this. So many IKEA apothecary hacks are about trying to make a few drawers look like more drawers, and as someone who likes a lot of drawers in a cabinet, I like that the form follows the function in this piece.
For some reason when she sticks her tongue out and chuckles she kind of reminds me of Boo from Mario and it kinds of makes my day 🤣 👻
Maybe it's just me though 😅
Best comment ever.
With the lavender hair and the shape of her eyes, she looks like the personification of an anime character. She is a very cute, adorable person.
OMG so amazing! PS. I can't stop calling one of our nurses at work "Topless Tammy" (yes, her name is Tammy. No, she doesn't work topless.)
I'll confess first time ever I watch the sponsored part of the video. Love this IKEA hack. You rock, Girl! You never disappoint.
LOVE this hack and your darling personality! It would’ve been fun to compare the cost & savings as compared to an actual apothecary thingy. 😘 xoxo
Under Quick Content Ideas, Water Hat was listed... I have so many questions 🎩 💦
Same!
Oh my. Clicked on comments. There are none. Uploaded 24 seconds ago. Wild times. Merry Christmas y’all.
Wow same
Love this! I appreciate you sharing the behind the scenes of your design process and thought organization. I’m not a hardcore DIYer but I think this app may help me with general home design. Sometimes I get ideas for spaces, buy things, hate them, sell and rebuy stuff. The app could help me be more intentional about my home spaces so I’m definitely going to play around with it! Also the cabinet is so amazing I think for me the only think I would do for myself is put wheels on the bottom instead of legs so you could wheel the drawers up to your workstation if you wanted.... just an idea
I love it that you tell us when there's something that you've erred on so that we know that it's not going to go the way that it does on UA-cam for the UA-camr. :). Love to learn from mistakes made by others. You don't know how many things I've had to throw out and that's not to mention the money for it all. LOL. It all looks SO easy on the videos! Little did we know that the Tuber had 30 takes and 30 mistakes before they got the proper take. Oh if only there were "outtakes" and the pile of rubble on the side of trials gone wrong. Thanks for your admittance. It HELPS all of us! :).
"I didn't want to ruin the final reveal.." Umm no gil, we're here to see how it's done, not a surprise ending.
All she did was screw in handles and the tag holders, but I guess if you have to find something to complain about..
11 minutes into the vid and still no diy yet, I give up
fast forward works
The results were amazing. I wouldn't have guessed this was made from Alex units!
Well done DIY Danie!!! The color is perfection! I want to go buy those IKEA cabinets even more now. This is your BEST hack yet. I love it!!!
Hope you got fat paid for this sponsorship. Freakin 12 minutes long.
Ok, I'm officially hooked on this new tool! Well, I haven't even started using it yet but I know it will be a game changer for me and my brain who is always coming up with new ideas and projects for the home! With this tool they might even get executed lol. Love how the cabinet turned out and love the green colour!! I don't have this cabinet but they are on my buy list for my craft room. Will use them as legs for my desk and definitely want to give them a makeover to give them some personality!!
So pretty!!! I wanted a she-shed for having tea, but now I want it as a wirk shop/arts & crafts, and tea...
I do own two of them and that is actually a genius idea..I was looking for something similar to that for a beads storage unit because I’m into jewellery making the only thing is I’d have to add dividers and that would be the tricky part..
MILANOTE, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN MY WHOLE LIFE?! Thank you @DIYdanie for doing such an awesome review of it in this video. It's like a giant lightbulb *ding* went off for me. Love you and your channel and can't thank you enough for sharing Milanote with us.
I love it, the colour is light but homely and gives a fresh fern look with a warm tone, amazing.
Handles and tags look stunning in that rustoleum effect, I'm in love with the whole piece. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
4:23 yes!!!! I agree! Mine too! Been looking for something like this!
Omg so generous of you to share your designs! I love watching your DIY
I don’t own the drawers and was previously looking for an apothecary cabinet. Changed my WHOLE search! Going find and create my own now.
milanote is legit gonna change the way I work. Never seen it before - but it looks awesome can't wait to share it with my team
Thank you, thank you! I just love this and what a beautiful color! You are so clever!
This literally brought tears to my eyes! It is absolutely stunning! You are such an inspiration!
This is stunning. Absolutely perfect!
Thank you so much for milanote. I have always needed this !
Clicking "like" during the first ad because I just know I'm gonna love your content! Sho-nuf, it looks awesome!!!
Yep! Totally doing this. Thanks for another brilliant idea Danie❤️
YOU SLAYED THIS DOLL! BEAUTIFUL
